00:00Trinbigo Knight Riders got the better of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons by eight
00:04wickets in their Republic Bank CPL match at the Brian Lauer Cricket Academy on
00:07Wednesday night. Besides half centuries from Alex Hales and Casey Corte, captain
00:12Nicholas Puran hit a brisk 23 not out.
00:15If he's going to win, definitely against Antigua. They have gotten the best of us in the last three
00:21encounters before this. I'm just really happy to put in a perfect performance like this today.
00:26In spite of the win, Puran is not resting on his laurels. He knows quite well that there
00:31is more work to be done if the team wants to attain glory and make it title number five.
00:36We know we're not going to thin up in this tournament and blast teams out. We're going
00:40to work. We have to work really hard. You know, CPL is a really difficult tournament. You know,
00:44there's a lot of quality players, really good local players as well. And we have our work
00:48cut out for us. And in order for us to continue to move forward in this tournament, we need
00:53to all come together and do our jobs.
00:55Despite the loss, Falcons skipper Imad Wasim wants to put that behind him and focus on
01:01what's ahead. This as his team next plays the St. Lucia Kings on Sunday.
01:05It's just another game. You lose some, you win some, but the approach towards the game
01:10should be right. And our attitude in the field was fantastic. We'll take positive from this
01:15and then we turned out red hot again. At the moment, the Falcons are on top, while TKR have
01:22jumped to second spot.
01:23to second spot.
