00:00It wasn't to be for TKR who were knocked out by Barbados Royals in Tuesday night's
00:04CPL eliminator at the Providence Stadium. After TKR got to 168 for 3 from 19.1
00:10overs, the floodlights were down for long resulting in a Bajan franchise having to
00:15chase 60 from 5 overs on the DLS method. Knight Rider skipper Karen Pollard had
00:20to accept the situation saying it is what it is.
00:23Obviously again you prepare for any circumstances obviously if rain had fell
00:29or something like that it would have been the same sort of instances where
00:31you have to you know gear up and be prepared to play. At the end of it once
00:35the lights was on and you know as we spoke of he's always ready and willing
00:38to play within the rules and regulations of the game so again it tend to
00:42happen and it happens obviously they had a target of 60 to chase and you know
00:45well batted by Miller there. Even though the men in red are out, Polly lauded his
00:50players for the way they performed throughout the season. Still proud of the
00:53guys as I said you know from the from the inception we had a lot of injuries
00:56coming into this tournament and you know the way that the guys came out and
01:00and played you know consistently at this point in time in to get where we got in
01:04on the table 14 points in 10 out of 10 games obviously you'll take that each
01:08and every time normally finish only top two without you know CPS gone by so
01:11again you just have to be proud you know of the guys and the way that perform all
01:15the way through the end the professionalism you know that was shown.
01:17Barbados Royal skipper Ravman Powell said it was unfortunate the lights went
01:22off to change the state of the game. At the same time though he was pleased to
01:26get over the line. I think if there is a bright light for my team throughout the
01:30entire competition is our bowling department you know I think each and
01:34every game we bowl fantastic you know it's just for batters to stand up and be
01:38counted you know we get a little bit of luck tonight so it's an opportunity that
01:42that we would take you know also momentum going into the rest of the
01:46competition. The Royals go into a virtual semi-final on Friday where they face
01:50either defending champs Ghan Amazon Warriors or the St. Lucia Kings.
