00:00There's so many things going on at once that I, like, forget that I have to do normal things, too, so...

00:11Hi, I'm Wisp, and these are my first with NME.

00:17First fear I remember having, I was a little kid, my parents took me to Disneyland,

00:22and you know those, like, chipmunk mascots that they would have at the breakfast?

00:27I was so scared of them, and I had to go home early because I was, like, terrified of the mascots there.

00:36The first band shirt that I owned, I don't think it was actually a band, but it was a Melanie Martinez shirt,

00:42and I got two of them at Hot Topic for, like, one of my birthdays.

00:46I think I was turning 11 or 12, but yeah, I was obsessed with her, so those were my first shirts.

00:53The first thought I had this morning was probably to text all of my friends back,

00:59because I'm a really bad texter, and so sometimes I'll just forget to respond to people,

01:04and I love catching up with people, so I just wanted to do that.

01:07There's so many things going on at once that I, like, forget that I have to do normal things, too, so...

01:13The first guitar I owned was this classical guitar. It was a hand-me-down from my mom,

01:17and that was the reason I started learning guitar, because she gave it to me,

01:22and she thought it'd be great if I took lessons.

01:24I loved it, yeah. I did classical guitar lessons for a while, and it was a lot of fun.

01:28After that, I got an acoustic guitar, and then I got a Telecaster.

01:34First time I Googled myself?

01:38I don't really remember, honestly, but I feel like it might have been sometime summer last year,

01:43and I was just curious if I had popped up on Google yet.

02:04First social media fail?

02:11I guess it was how I used to post when I was in middle school.

02:14I would post food that I ate, but it'd be half-eaten, and people didn't really care much.

02:20I feel like I wouldn't care either if I saw that on someone's feed, so that was probably a really big fail of mine.

02:30First time I got starstruck?

02:32Probably last year when I went to Outside Lands, and I got to see some of my favorite artists

02:40and go backstage and take a little sneak peek and stuff. I thought it was really cool.

02:45I saw Cigarettes After Sex there, and they were amazing.

02:48I was too nervous to meet them, though, but hopefully I get to meet them one day. That'd be great.

02:53First album you bought?

02:57First album I bought for myself was probably Bloom by Beach House.

03:02I bought it on cassette at Amoeba, and it was my first cassette purchase, too.

03:08I didn't find out about it in the music store, but I had been listening to Beach House for a long time.

03:13So I went to Amoeba to find vinyls and CDs and cassettes, and I found Bloom, which is one of my favorite albums by them.

03:21First time getting recognized?

03:25First time getting recognized... I can't remember the first exact moment,

03:30and I feel like there are a lot of moments where people would recognize me at concerts

03:35or if I'm near venues that are pretty crowded and stuff.

03:42But I did go to a Raising Cane's once with my friends, and everyone was just eating chicken tenders.

03:50And I was sitting down at the table, and there were this group of boys.

03:53And they kept staring, and I was like, why are they staring?

03:56And then I saw that one of them was wearing a Wisp shirt, and I was like, oh my gosh, that's crazy.

04:00And we took pictures after. It was really cool.

04:03It's been great bumping into people and being like, wow, I can't believe they actually know who I am.

04:09I really enjoy talking to them and taking pictures, so it's a fun experience.
