00:00Samba, welcome to the Brits. What's it like to be here?
00:03I'm so honoured and I can't believe that they let me in here, but we're here.
00:08You have had a massive year and a huge response to the album.
00:12Did you feel when you were recording it that it was going to go this big and this far?
00:16No, I mean, you can't expect anything like that, but I'm thankful and I'm thankful for the British people for
00:22accepting the album with open arms and I love it here.
00:26You said before that something about the UK kind of clicks with you. Is it partly the music coming out
00:33of the UK?
00:34Yeah, it's the music that comes from the UK. In my opinion, I love America, but I think acts from
00:40the UK are just, UK kind of beats them in terms of iconic acts.
00:45What kind of artists have stood out to you?
00:48I think the Beatles, the Stones, David Bowie, fucking Elton John, Stone Roses, The Verve, Oasis. The list goes on.
01:00You've got a good amount of those in the room. Are you going to go and try and make the
01:03rounds?
01:04Who's in the room?
01:04I mean, we've got Noel Gallagher in the room.
01:06Noel Gallagher, yeah, I heard about that.
01:07We've got Hope in the room.
01:08Oh my God, yeah.
01:09Are you going to try and say hi?
01:11Introduce myself, yeah.
01:12I mean, yeah, and you've had such a big year. What do you have coming up next?
01:18Coming up next, I think Coachella is going to be awesome and I think there are some really big things
01:24to look out for this year that I think people have been waiting a while for.
01:28And the host this year, Jack Whitehall, loves your music.
01:32Really?
01:32But up until recently, he thought you were a band.
01:35Really?
01:36Have you ever had that before?
01:37Yeah, I think I've had that a lot because I think some of the music I make feels like music
01:43that a band would make, but it's just me.
01:44It's because I'm inspired by so many bands, but that's cool.
01:48No, Sombra is just one guy.
