00:00On Saturday, thousands marched across Venezuela to protest the re-election of President Nicolas Maduro.

00:06Venezuelan authorities declared him the winner of last Sunday's election with 52% of the votes,

00:12however have not produced the voting tallies to prove he had won.

00:16Since election day, at least 20 people have been killed

00:19and 1,200 others arrested in post-election protests so far.

00:33Heading the rally in Caracas was María Corina Machado,

00:36the opposition leader who came to stand with her supporters.

00:40She backed the candidacy of Edmundo González Urrutia after she herself was banned from running.

00:46Since the election, the Maduro administration has threatened to detain both opposition members.

01:16Meanwhile, hundreds of President Maduro supporters also took to the streets on Saturday,

01:24Addressing the crowd, he accused his opponents of representing the hatred and the division of fascism.

01:29Several countries, including the US, have already recognized González as the election's winner

01:34and have called on the Venezuelan authorities to swiftly publish all voting records.
