00:00Instead of buying a duck as they do every year to cook and celebrate his
00:05birthday tomorrow, the family of 27-year-old Ryan Suku is making funeral
00:11arrangements. Suku was killed by a truck around 2 p.m. on Monday as he was
00:17walking to his Kuchawan Trace, Debe home. He had only moments earlier spoken with
00:23his mother who was running errands in Debe.
00:54According to police reports, Suku walked from the eastern side of the road
01:00heading south between both trucks, then suddenly turned right and came into
01:06contact with the tray of the moving truck, causing him to fall onto the
01:11roadway and was rolled over by the left rear wheels of that vehicle.
01:16Investigators say the truck driver was interviewed following the accident. On
01:20Tuesday, Suku's mother said people often drive recklessly along this
01:26roadway and urged others to consider pedestrians when on the roadway.
01:32I didn't take the time and watch people were crossing the road and children, even
01:38old people, take all your time and don't get busy on the road wherever you have to go.
