00:00 The Brian Lara Cricket Academy will host four group stage games and also the
00:04 first semi-final at this year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Facilities manager
00:08 Shivanan Ramota who is linked to Udicott is pleased that the venue is all set for
00:12 cricket. We are completely ready for this World Cup. A lot of preparation has
00:17 been done here to meet the ICC requirements. We are fully prepared. We
00:22 got our clearance already from ICC. The pitch is already ready. With the rainy
00:28 season approaching many are concerned about the weather affecting matches and
00:31 that's where drainage comes in. Well part of the refurbishment work was that
00:35 improved drainage right so you'll see around the facility right now we redid
00:40 the gravel ring, we redid the pipe and so yes we are ready. I could say that we
00:44 could probably go as far we could restart cricket in about 20-30 minutes.
00:48 We are ready for this. The media is expected to be busy for the tournament
00:52 with many from abroad visiting these shores. Speaking of which this was a new
00:57 room built for the reporters. Regarding the comfort of the journalists Ramota
01:01 says that too has been catered for at the venue. We'll definitely have wireless
01:06 right now right so we have the commodity we have the multimedia ability right now
01:11 we have the screens on board there's definitely better connectivity throughout
01:14 the site. We have two new screens that was also installed ready for this for
01:18 that kind of integration so we have a dedicated scoreboard and a replay screen
01:22 so yeah we are we are up to scratch with that. With a lot of improvements made at
01:27 the facility Ramota has given the assurance that the Brian Lara Cricket
01:30 Academy is going to be used often and not turn into a white elephant.
