The new Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Premiership season bowled off over the weekend, with wins for defending champs Central Sports and QPCC, while three games were drawn.

At the opening, TTCB first vice-president Arjoon Ramlal stated that the board's objective is improving club cricket in the country.

00:03Saturday at the Invaders ground in Philly City. The officials met with the
00:07players before the start of the opening match between defending champions
00:10Central Sports and Prison Sports Club. There were speeches from the authorities
00:14with chairman of the Premier League Henry Chase opening the innings.

01:08that will happen that we will get more players exposed to this level of cricket
01:14which is the highest level of cricket in club cricket in Trinidad and Tobago.
01:20Then it was time for action on the field and just for the record Central Sports won
01:24the match by innings and 16 runs.
