The Water and Sewage Authority says parts of Santa Cruz that are served by the Santa Cruz Water Treatment Plant
00:06
can expect an interruption in their service.
00:09
This interruption is expected from 12 midnight on Saturday and would run into 12 midnight on Sunday.
00:16
According to WASA, it is to facilitate repair works to a leaking 10-inch diameter pipeline
00:22
located at a bridge crossing between Light Pole 141 and Light Pole 142 along the Saddle Road in Santa Cruz.
00:30
WASA has listed about 27 areas that stand to be impacted including Lower Kentaro, Paxville,
00:37
Jagan Village, Sun Valley Road, San Boco and Synanon Gardens.
00:42
The authority states that it could take up to 24 hours for service to normalize in some of the affected areas
00:49
following the repair works.
00:51
Meanwhile, parts of northeast Trinidad served by the North Oropeuch Water Treatment Plant
00:56
are expected to also experience a disruption in the water supply on Sunday between the hours of 2 a.m. and 8 p.m.
01:04
WASA states that this is to carry out repairs to a leak on the 42-inch diameter transmission pipeline
01:11
that is located along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Camuto, west of the Camuto Lights.
01:17
About 17 areas will be affected. Some of them are the town of San Gregrande, Manzanilla,
01:23
Malabar Phases 1, 3 and 4, La Joquita, O'Mara Road, Maloney Gardens, Five Rivers and Millennium Park.
01:30
According to WASA, in both instances, a limited truck-borne service is available upon request
01:36
through its self-service options which are the mobile app and the customer portal on WASA's website.
01:42
People can also call the customer call center toll-free at 800-4420 or 800-4426.
