Some areas in Santa Cruz and parts of North East Trinidad are expected to see disruptions to their pipeborne water supply this weekend.

00:00 The Water and Sewage Authority says parts of Santa Cruz that are served by the Santa Cruz Water Treatment Plant
00:06 can expect an interruption in their service.
00:09 This interruption is expected from 12 midnight on Saturday and would run into 12 midnight on Sunday.
00:16 According to WASA, it is to facilitate repair works to a leaking 10-inch diameter pipeline
00:22 located at a bridge crossing between Light Pole 141 and Light Pole 142 along the Saddle Road in Santa Cruz.
00:30 WASA has listed about 27 areas that stand to be impacted including Lower Kentaro, Paxville,
00:37 Jagan Village, Sun Valley Road, San Boco and Synanon Gardens.
00:42 The authority states that it could take up to 24 hours for service to normalize in some of the affected areas
00:49 following the repair works.
00:51 Meanwhile, parts of northeast Trinidad served by the North Oropeuch Water Treatment Plant
00:56 are expected to also experience a disruption in the water supply on Sunday between the hours of 2 a.m. and 8 p.m.
01:04 WASA states that this is to carry out repairs to a leak on the 42-inch diameter transmission pipeline
01:11 that is located along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Camuto, west of the Camuto Lights.
01:17 About 17 areas will be affected. Some of them are the town of San Gregrande, Manzanilla,
01:23 Malabar Phases 1, 3 and 4, La Joquita, O'Mara Road, Maloney Gardens, Five Rivers and Millennium Park.
01:30 According to WASA, in both instances, a limited truck-borne service is available upon request
