When William Branham rebranded and repackaged the Christian Identity doctrines of Wesley Swift as what would become his “Serpent’s Seed” doctrine, he also repackaged the white supremacy version of Adam and Eve, the mother and father of all living and the racially divided offspring. According to Branham cult leaders Lee Vayle and Raymond “Junior” Jackson, Branham claimed that the Serpent from the Garden of Eden was “ten feet tall” and as “black as the ace of spades”. Wesley Swift taught that this black serpent mated with Eve in the Garden of Eden to produce the black race, and William Branham propagated that notion through the churches both in unrecorded sermons and on recording.

Even in Branham’s examples describing Serpent’s Seed on recording, Branham referenced news of one white mother gave birth to a black and a white child as his primary example. He paused while describing the birth of Cain and Abel to remind his listeners that a mother can give both to two races at one time. Listeners who were able to follow the trail of breadcrumbs Branham said on recording were fully aware that he was referring to Eve producing the black and white races through Cain and Abel.

When Branham described Eve’s appearance, he also used the white supremacy version of the mother of all living. According to Branham, Eve had “blond hair” and “great blue sparkly eyes”.
