I have Started My Amazing Digital Circus Journey. Along with an episode Review I will also be going threw The Creators Posts and some of the People who worked on the show. I do Hope you all enjoy the video because there will be more coming in the future.

00:00Alright, hello and welcome everyone.
00:03Since this is the first video on the series, and it will most likely be pretty long, I
00:09will quickly map out how the video is going to go, plus I will have timestamps so if you
00:14want to skip around or get to a certain part, you can.
00:18Of course first will be the review itself, going through the episode and me putting in
00:22memes wherever I can.
00:24Then I will go over the creator, Gooseworks's YouTube and Tumblr posts that involve the
00:30series.
00:31Then I will move onto anything Glitch posted on their social media before the first episode
00:36came out.
00:37Then I will talk about the people who worked on the show, like the animators and storyboard
00:41artists.
00:43With the final part being the discussion section, talking about each character and diving into
00:48the episode more in depth.
00:50I hope you all enjoy, so let's get into it.
00:53So we begin with an old timey retro game intro, with the title card appearing, with us then
00:59seemingly zooming into the screen, with the quality switching to a more modern style.
01:04With Kane greeting us, telling us that he can't wait to show us all the amazing things in the
01:10circus.
01:11And I do have to say I love how stretchy and rubbery Kane is for the intro, I could imagine
01:17animating it must be both fun and difficult.
01:21We then get introduced to everyone in song form, which I also really like that the song
01:26mimics what a children's show intro would typically be like, naming all the characters
01:31and talking about the quote on quote show.
01:34With one of the characters, Coffmo, not being present for the intro.
01:38We then see a new character, Pomni, get blipped into existence.
01:43Welcome to hell, motherfucker!
01:47Of course, she starts to freak out since she doesn't know what's going on and the other
01:52characters basically tell her that she is stuck here.
01:55With Kane giving her a tour of the circus and bluescreening for a bit.
02:00While he is touring her around the circus area, she spots an exit door, but Kane just chalks
02:05it up to her having digital hallucinations.
02:08Then he asks her for her name, and she can't remember it, so he pulls out a random name
02:13generator, and they land on Pomni.
02:16What do you think, Go-
02:19What?
02:21What?
02:22Kane then gives them a game to play with gathering the Gloinks and proceeds to fuck off somewhere
02:28else.
02:29I am the star that is a pro-
02:41As they walk to Coffmo's room, Ragatha explains that they have tried to find a way out, and
02:47none of them have ever found one, and it has driven some of them crazy, which alludes to
03:04us finding out that Coffmo abstracted, which is basically the equivalent to becoming insane
03:12inside the circus.
03:14Jack proceeds to run away, not wanting to deal with this, and the abstracted Coffmo attacks
03:19Ragatha, glitching her out severely.
03:22With Pomni managing to get away from it, she backtracks to check on Ragatha.
03:28We cut over to Jack's finding Kinger and Gangle staring at a hole that the Gloinks took
03:32Zoobal in, and he pushes them down there to get them and himself away from Coffmo.
03:39With them finding a monster spitting out more Gloinks.
03:42I think it's a nest.
03:44Who are you?
03:46We go back to Pomni finding Ragatha, apologizing for leaving her, but Ragatha just tells her
03:52to find Kane because he can fix all of this, so she goes looking for him.
03:58And side note, I love the way Ragatha is animated while she is glitching out, and the fact that
04:03her eyes play Pong with her nose.
04:06And she just goes looking through all the different doors in the circus.
04:09What you looking at girl, stay in school!
04:12We find out that the monster Jackson them found was the Gloink Queen, and Kinger goes to save
04:17Zoobal, but a decently funny animation joke occurs with his hands being taken with them.
04:24And while hiding from Coffmo, Pomni discovers the exit door again, and with some reluctance,
04:30goes through it, ending up in an endless hall of exit doors.
04:34With Coffmo breaking through the floor, dropping down on the Gloink Queen, making her cough up
04:39Zoobal.
04:40With all of them taking the opportunity to escape with Zoobal being mad Pomni isn't even here,
04:45going on the adventure.
04:47But Pomni is not having the best of times right now, slowly going crazy because the exit doors
04:53seem to be endless, until she opens a door out into the void which alerts Kayn, causing
04:59him to teleport her back to the circus.
05:03He then banishes the abstracted Coffmo to the Shadow Realm.
05:07Looks like you're going to the Shadow Realm, Jimbo.
05:11Fixes Ragatha and awards them with a digital feast.
05:16And we end with Pomni finally coming to the realization that she is actually going to be
05:22stuck in here, indefinitely for the foreseeable future.
05:26And we just zoom out until we zoom out so far we see the computer they all seem to be stuck
05:32in.
05:33Ending the episode.
05:34Alright, now let's go over the two videos about the series posted on Gooseworks' channel
05:40that will be linked down below.
05:42The first one is just the teaser.
05:45We have Kayn welcoming us to the circus and flipping through areas of the circus.
05:50With an easter egg of an old screensaver animation, the cellar with all the abstracted, and one
05:56of the points he gets stuck on we see abstracted Coffmo creeping in.
06:01Then he spawns in Pomni who seemed to be eating a sandwich before Kayn teleported her.
06:06With him proceeding to throw knives at her, with the teaser ending with her punctured with
06:11knives and announcing that this series is coming soon.
06:15And the second video about the series she has on her channel is the meet the gang one introducing
06:21all the main characters.
06:22The first character we meet is Ragatha.
06:25With them getting across her character and all the other characters' traits in these
06:30short animations pretty well.
06:32Ragatha being a friendly person who tries to stay calm in most situations seeing that
06:38she got a cleaver thrown at her head.
06:40Next is Jax and us seeing his mischievousness by him tripping Ragatha and not really caring
06:46that she is mad at him.
06:48We see Gangle with her happy mask waving to the camera but she then gets pushed over by
06:53Jax breaking it holding the broken remnants of the mask.
06:57Kayn is up next as he summons Bubble out of his hat and they wander off with Kayn pulling
07:05them back so they don't get into anything they're not supposed to.
07:08Then we see where Bubble wandered off to which was to see Kinger who Bubble startles but he
07:15then just lowers out of frame.
07:17And lastly we get introduced to Zoobl who is putting themselves back together and we see
07:22how dissatisfied they are with their body, with them switching their antennae on their
07:27head.
07:28And that's it for the videos on her channel, next let's move on to her Tumblr posts.
07:33Alright, here I will be going over Gooseworks' Tumblr posts she has made that interest me relating
07:40to the series and I will say there was a lot to go through.
07:45The first post was just of the checkered floor of the circus.
07:49Then we get a hint post saying it's coming with a picture relating to Kayn and Pomni,
07:55a post with Kayn's hat and other objects, Pomni giving a thumbs up, a small animation made
08:01to look like those old computer games for the series with a select screen and everything.
08:07Then after this point the teaser trailer on Gooseworks' channel came out.
08:12Somebody asks for Kayn's name and she tells them that it was an acronym which I did not
08:17know before so that was a cool thing to find out.
08:21Somebody asks for references for Pomni and Kayn so she gives them 2D drawings she did of
08:26them.
08:27She is asked if she thinks that a community is going to come out of her cartoon and she
08:32just says she is mentally preparing for it.
08:36And man she was probably not prepared for how big it actually got.
08:41She is asked if Pomni is based off anything since Kayn is obviously based off Am, but she
08:47just says that her proportions are based off Sonic characters which I can't unsee now.
08:53She is asked if any of the characters resonated with her personally and she says that there is
08:59one that is a self insert which if I remember correctly is Jax.
09:05She talks about how she doesn't like seeing Rule 34 art of her characters because they
09:11are more like her children.
09:13We get a small post about how Zoobull doesn't get much screen time in the first 2 episodes.
09:19She comments that Jax is having problems in the rigging department which I think makes sense
09:24since he gets a lot of wacky animation and how his face rig works.
09:30We then get a reference picture for Jax.
09:32She tells us that Bubble is a simpler AI that Kayn created.
09:37She tells us that Ragatha would give the best hugs and yeah I would have to agree.
09:42She gives us what seems like a storyboard for the animators relating to Jax.
09:47She is asked if Jax will be a Tumblr sexy man and she just says it would be funny because
09:53of what he will do in the future.
09:56We get a line up of all the characters models since someone asked for their heights.
10:01Someone asks if Zoobull is based off Zolo blocks and Goose says yes with me having to look
10:07up what they are talking about and yeah it's pretty much a 1 to 1.
10:13She is asked if Pomni can take off her hat and she says no but gives us a concept art
10:18picture of what it would look like.
10:21We get a unfun fact that she usually decides the gender of her characters last so Pomni and
10:27Jax could have been the opposite of what they are now.
10:31She was asked if Kayn was a human what would he look like and she says Gary Busey which I
10:37could see honestly.
10:39We have finally gotten past the point of the character introduction video Goose put up
10:43on her channel.
10:44Now we go on to the time before the official trailer comes out on the Glitch channel.
10:49We do get confirmation that Ragatha has been in the circus the second longest.
10:54She gets asked what her favorite Out of Context line is and it's...
10:58We found the Zoobull hole!
11:02Zoobull has been in the circus the second shortest amount of time.
11:06We get told Kayn sees Bubble as a hype man basically.
11:09Alright, now we have gotten past the point where the official trailer has come out on
11:14the Glitch channel so hopefully this is almost over.
11:19And it's been over 2 hours since I have been searching through all of this.
11:23This isn't related but she also says her favorite anime is Kill la Kill.
11:28Nice!
11:29We get Gengel's favorite anime which is Azumanga Deo which I have never watched but I know
11:35I have seen clips of it throughout the years.
11:39We get a little doodle from her and then another doodle of Ragatha and then another one of Kinger.
11:45And that's it for now.
11:47We are up to the point that the show came out so let's move on to the next segment.
11:52Well I would have put up Glitch's YouTube posts leading up to the premiere but they seem to
11:58have been deleted unfortunately.
12:00But wait, their Twitter and Instagrams still has the posts so I will use those.
12:06The first post we get relating to the series is an animation test for Pomni.
12:11We get an image of Cain playing with Ragatha like a doll.
12:15An image of Pomni, Jax, and Cain walking together.
12:19An image of Gengel in the bathroom with all her broken masks put up on the wall.
12:24An image of Bubble with realistic teeth in space and everyone else floating around them.
12:29An image of Kinger on a chessboard with everyone else.
12:33What looks like Zoobl shopping for a head.
12:36Then just a big old image of everyone together telling us that the show will be coming soon.
12:41We get a video of a hat and Cain tapping on it with a whole lot of black liquid coming
12:47out of it.
12:48Another image of all the characters T posing and Cain using a crane to pick them out.
12:53One of Pomni being tired in her bed and a lot of mini Cains being all around her.
12:58We get an image of all the voice actors who I will be getting to in the discussion section
13:03of the video.
13:05Another image of the whole group together riding in a toy car.
13:08One of Cain's Wacky Watch in lead up to the premiere.
13:12Then we get a post of all the characters on a select screen that has a link to the Wacky
13:17Watch website that shows a teaser for the series.
13:20An image of Pomni in kid pics, which I think I have a vague memory of playing it when I was
13:27a kid.
13:28Another one of Pomni coming through an exit door.
13:30An image of Kofmo waving to us, which might also mean they have a 3D render of him and
13:36they may use it sometime in the future.
13:39And then the final image before the premiere was Pomni walking into a room with Cains on
13:44the screens.
13:45Alright, now I'm going to go over some of the people that worked on episode 1.
13:50And before I start, I will have all of the links to their YouTube channels below in the
13:55description if you guys want to go check them out.
13:58First being the only storyboard artist, Neda Lay, or better known as, on YouTube, Nezhaha.
14:05Some of the scenes I liked that she did were the screaming face scene and the scene with
14:10the gloink queen because, since she is drawing it by hand, she can put on more exaggerated
14:17faces on her.
14:18And she says that she did not want to post some of the storyboards because they did not
14:24look good, but all I have to say is that they are better than anything I could do.
14:29And I know it couldn't have been easy doing all of this by yourself, so thank you.
14:34Also they have storyboarded for other glitch shows like Murder Drones and Gaslight District.
14:40Along with working on Moon Girl and Dinosaur for Disney, which I have heard good things about,
14:46but haven't watched it.
14:48Then they joined up with some other artists making Studio Psycho, which just released Heathens
14:54about a month ago.
14:55I haven't watched it by the time of me writing this, but it seems to be doing good with two
15:00million views.
15:01Okay, next animator is Michaela Handen, who animated some stuff in the intro song and some
15:09of Kane's more wackier animations.
15:12And honestly guys, she is under a thousand subscribers.
15:15Can you guys go over there and get her past that milestone?
15:19She deserves it.
15:20Acylic Animation is next, and they did some simple animation for Episode 1, with my favorite
15:26being the gloink queen scene, but they'll get more of a spotlight in Episode 2 because
15:31they animated a lot more there.
15:34Edbot Nickthi did the iconic ending scene animation of Pomni and the others at the table.
15:41With some of the other animations I liked that he did were Jax having Kaufmo's room key, one
15:47of the gloink queen scenes, and Kane having a meal with Bubble.
15:51And he has also worked on the Invincible fighting game, doing animations for Robot and Monster Girl.
15:58Then the lead animator for all of Glitch is Kevin Temer, who has of course led The Amazing
16:03Digital Circus, but also led The Gaslight District and Murder Drones.
16:08And he has been animating for a while now, with some of his credits being Ice Age, Collision
16:13Course, Ferdinand, and Spies in Disguise.
16:17He was also the one that originally animated the teaser trailer and the character introduction
16:22trailer.
16:22So he has been with this series the longest out of all the animators here.
16:27I think my favorite shots he animated were the Kane introduction and the Ragatha glitching
16:33out scene, since it was cool seeing how the model was stretched and manipulated without
16:38all of the effects.
16:40And speaking of that, he has a lot of cool behind the scenes content showing a bit of
16:44the animation process.
16:46Walk and run cycles he created for everyone, with each of them having a unique one.
16:51alternate animation cuts of scenes, and even how he cheats with the camera when he animates.
16:58And on top of all of this, he also has his own animations and songs on his channel.
17:03And even if you want more of him, he did an interview with the channel 80 Level, where
17:08he answers different animation questions.
17:10He is great, and I am going to enjoy talking about him more in the future.
17:15Zuriel is a 2D artist who animated the ending credits with all of the little characters
17:20walking and Kane dancing, which I just thought was the cutest thing.
17:25With him also working on a couple of different projects throughout the years, but his main
17:29project that he created and is working on being Monkey Wrench, which has 5 episodes out
17:37so far, and is on my list to eventually watch and maybe do videos like this one about.
17:43So that's all the animators I want to talk about for this episode, and I want to say
17:48thank you to not just the animators, but everyone who worked on the show, because without you
17:53guys, none of this would have happened.
17:56So sincerely, thank you.
17:59Okay, first before we get on to the characters, let's talk about the world first.
18:04So everyone starts with getting blipped into the world, and their minds seem to be wiped
18:08of certain information, like their names.
18:11With Kane being the one that tries to help them stay sane, by giving them tasks to do.
18:17And if they do lose themselves, they get put into a void area where they can't get out,
18:23which means Kane cannot get rid of players either.
18:27And the world itself seems to be based off of old computer games in the 90's where 3D
18:32art was just starting to get off its legs.
18:35But that's really all we know so far.
18:36So our first character to go over is Kofmo.
18:40Even though he didn't have any lines, we see that he is a clown character, similar in
18:44theme, with Pomni being a jester.
18:47And like Pomni, he probably saw the exit door once, and started to obsess over seeing it
18:52again, and devolved into frantically trying to find a way out.
18:57And it seems he liked doing art, which we see hung up in his room, and some of the art
19:03does not look like it was made when he had a healthy mindset.
19:08Specifically, the demonic clown picture.
19:11And one of his large pieces he drew on the wall was of Kane with his teeth looking more
19:17predatory chasing him down, with the words No Way Out written right by it.
19:23He also seems to like writing jokes since Ragatha and Gangle talk about how they didn't really
19:28find them to be funny, which would've further made him feel isolated from everyone else,
19:34because he even called Ragatha out for fake laughing at them.
19:38With his last interaction being with Kinger, which he commented that he seemed to be losing
19:43his mind.
19:44Now, I can't really blame Kinger for not doing anything, since he seems to be partially
19:50losing it as well, but the others should've seen the signs of Koffmo slowly losing it.
19:56We may learn more about him in the future episodes, but that's all I got to say about
20:01him for now.
20:02Alright, next is Gangle, who is played by Marissa Lenti, who is also voiced Mosey from
20:09Borderlands 3 is I think how it's pronounced.
20:11She also has a VTuber YouTube channel, called Vixen the Reindeer if you wanna go check that
20:17out as well.
20:18Gangle herself has a very simple design being a mask and ribbon, and her having a gimmick
20:24of the comedy and tragedy masks, with her comedy being broken at the start of the episode.
20:30She doesn't get to do much this episode, and she seemed to be the only one to worry about
20:35Zubal when they got hauled off, with a cool animation moment of her being pulled down
20:40by Kinger and Unraveled.
20:42Okay, next is Kinger, who is voiced by Sean Chiplock, who has also played Mista from JoJo's
20:48Bizarre Adventure Part 5, and Mogami from Mob Psycho 100.
20:53Kinger's design is another pretty simple one.
20:55Probably the most simple out of all of the main characters, since he is just robes, a
21:02king chess piece, two big eyeballs, and floating hands.
21:06With his walk and run just being him sliding across the floor.
21:10And Kinger himself did not do much in the episode.
21:13He was mainly just lost in his own mind and getting scared of everything, with a detail
21:19being that he kept talking about an insect collection.
21:23Which led to the theory that he may be one of the people who made the game, because he
21:29is thinking about bugs in the game that would have to be fixed.
21:33And I will say, even now as of episode 6, this theory has not been debunked yet.
21:39And I personally think it's true since he has also been there the longest out of everyone.
21:45Next up is Zubal, who is voiced by Ashley Nichols.
21:48She also has a YouTube channel called Ashley Nichols Art, where she live streams a lot.
21:53Zubal has a very chaotic design with all of their different parts being able to come
21:58off of them, and probably has the body I would least want in the circus, since I could easily
22:05be taken apart and I can't do anything about it.
22:08And you can see that they do not want to be a part of the adventures, and with seeing what
22:12happened to them, I don't blame them for hating the games.
22:16With their walk cycle even having it built in that they stumble every few steps since
22:21their body is so wonky.
22:23But they don't do much besides getting kidnapped, so I will talk about them more in future episodes.
22:29The Gloint Queen was voiced by Elsie Lovelock, who has also voiced Uzi from Murder Drones,
22:35and was the singing voice for Charlie from the original Has Been Hotel pilot.
22:41She has her own YouTube channel as well, so make sure to go check it out.
22:44The Gloint Queen was honestly a fun character with how high and mighty she acted, and how
22:49caught off guard she was by Jax.
22:52I could tell Elsie probably had a great time voicing her.
22:56Kane is up next with him being voiced by Alex Roshan.
22:59He has a YouTube channel where he dubs over different things and says things in Kane's
23:04voice, and I have to say, they are pretty entertaining.
23:08Now Kane is the first character that I have a lot to talk about.
23:13First his design is of course ringmaster themed, with his shiny suit, Kane, and top hat, but
23:19then his head is where things get a little creepy.
23:23With him being a pair of teeth with floating eyeballs in them, with a neat design thing
23:28being his heterochromia with one eye being blue and the other being green.
23:33And animation wise, they can do just about anything with him, since one, he is an AI which
23:38I will elaborate on in a minute, so he can manipulate his body more freely than the human
23:44inhabitants, and he can poof up anything he wants into existence.
23:50Along with manipulating the environment in any way he feels like.
23:55Now let's get onto the main topic with him.
23:57When I first watched the show, I immediately knew he was an AI when he blue screened talking
24:03to Pomni, and it further nailed it in when he was giving the rules of making a name to
24:08her by reading off a prepared script at incredible speeds.
24:14And when I saw some people react to the show, they were not sure if he was one, which I
24:18was a little surprised about.
24:20Moving on, he seems to be an AI made to entertain everyone, since he gives them adventures to
24:25go on, and he made Bubble to bounce off of to entertain them more.
24:30By the way, Bubble is also voiced by Gooseworks.
24:33And he says one of the things that he doesn't have control over are their minds, and I am
24:38guessing he also can't control their base form either, since if he could, I would imagine
24:44they would ask him to change them.
24:46And once their minds break, he cannot fix them, so he just puts them somewhere where
24:51they can't hurt anyone else, because he can't delete the players either.
24:56And we can also see he is an extremely advanced AI, since he feels anxiety or shame about his
25:02own creation if he thinks that the players won't like it.
25:06Since he hid the exit door he created because it doesn't go anywhere, and still, it won't
25:12let them leave.
25:13And I am sure before this, he has tried multiple times to try and find a way out for them since
25:19he was literally built to please and entertain them.
25:23I am very much looking forward to where they will take him.
25:26Ragatha is up next, voiced by Amanda Huford, and she is of course based off of a Raggedy Ann
25:32doll, with her arms just flopping around since she has no joints in them, and a cool detail
25:38about her is that when she walks, you can hear the sand in her legs that some dolls had to
25:44keep them standing up.
25:49I do hope that she can see out of her button eye she has, because it would suck if she spawned
25:55in with only one eye she can see out of.
25:58With her character wise seemingly being the nicest character out of everyone since she
26:04was the main one trying to get calmly assimilated to her new life, and suggested that they should
26:10go check on Kaufmo to introduce her to him.
26:13But we also see that she has not still fully accepted her new life, because of the spiral
26:19she goes down when she's talking to Pomni, and would rather keep distracting herself through
26:25Kane's games.
26:27Which is honestly probably the best thing to do in this situation.
26:32Then later I can imagine becoming glitched out was all that fun, since she later said
26:37that she was in pain, and she seemed to be feeling a type of way, since Pomni did abandon
26:43her to try to find a way out.
26:45And for all Pomni knows, leaving Ragatha like that, she might have eventually caused her to
26:51abstract as well.
26:53But we will see how she interacts with her next episode.
26:57Jack steps on up, and is voiced by Michael Kovac, who has also voiced N from Murder Drones,
27:03the original voice actor for Angel Dust, and Rocky from Laxadaisy.
27:08Jack's design is pretty simple, with him being a purple humanoid rabbit with red overalls,
27:15with a lot of his expressiveness coming from his unique eyes and mouth that stay closed
27:19most of the time, with his lips just moving around his teeth.
27:23And he seems to not care much about the other players, since he ditched Ragatha and Pomni
27:28when they found Kofmo, and he did not tell the others that Kofmo are abstracted, when
27:34that is an important piece of news that everyone should be made aware of.
27:39And he also did not care and seemingly deliberately stepped on Gego's mask, and did not care about
27:45Zubal being taken.
27:47He definitely seems to be the most self-centered of all the people in the circus.
27:52And finally, our main character, Pomni, who was voiced by Lizzie Freeman, who has also
27:58voiced Trish from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5.
28:02Pomni is of course modeled after a court jester and some clown is in there as well.
28:08And a cool detail to her model is that her eyelashes are on different parts of her eyes,
28:14with one being on the bottom and the other being on the top.
28:17With them being able to do a lot with her eyes, since her pupils can be huge or stay very
28:22small, and they can just put squiggles in them like they did in this episode.
28:27But now, let's get onto her character and how she is handling her new lot in life.
28:32It seems like before she came into a circus, she put on a headset and it immediately sucked
28:39her into this world.
28:41And she does not have the best welcoming day, with her freaking out at everything and being
28:47chased by an abstracted monster.
28:49She had someone to at least partially guide her in Ragatha, but that got done away with
28:54halfway through the episode with her searching aimlessly throughout the circus for Kane.
29:00And as a side note, Kane was not the best at introducing her to her new life, since throughout
29:06all of it, she seemed pretty overwhelmed.
29:09I partially can't blame her for trying to go through the exit, but it was still a bit
29:14of a selfish move, which she definitely paid for since she was slowly going crazy opening
29:20infinite doors to eventually get to the void, which probably would have abstracted her if
29:27Kane did not notice and bring her back.
29:30And she felt a little regret in abandoning Ragatha.
29:33With us ending off with her having a forced smile that seemingly now she accepts that this
29:39is going to be her life now.
29:41A few things that I liked was the scene where Pomni actually saw herself in the mirror, which
29:47was her first time really seeing her new body.
29:50And the little scene where Kane says that he has to go get Pomni because she could get spoiled?
29:57Which may be a throwaway line, but could also mean he was lying to her earlier, that he did
30:04not know what was out there, but he could be secretly working on something in the void that
30:11he doesn't want the rest of them to know about.
30:14Kind of like the same situation with the exit door he made.
30:17Alright, by the time of scripting, this video is around 30 minutes long, and with my edits
