00:00Welcome back everyone, today in this review, our boys are still traveling to their destination, but they will finally get
00:07there, and I will have a decent amount to talk about involving this village, and a few of the other
00:14things scattered throughout the chapter.
00:16I hope you guys are ready, so let's get into it.
00:20As we open, the effect of the red pills stops affecting Pocky's body, but he tells them not to worry
00:26about it, because he's at least not going to die from it.
00:30Hollow asks Boss about the Madonna light fragment he has, but he says that he has gotten no reaction from
00:37it, but it's secure in its container, with him getting excited about all the new forms of life.
00:42They finally get to the base of the mountain, and start traveling up it, but they get stopped when they
00:48see something in the far distance.
00:56It's beautiful.
00:58Oh, I'm gonna come.
00:59What they see in the distance is the gigantic world tree from Yggdrysion.
01:04None of them can believe what they are seeing, with Nuki saying he has never seen something like it, comparing
01:11it to everything he has seen in Gaia's Wrath, with Boss just creaming his pants over this thing.
01:19But for some reason, they all begin to feel faint and pass out.
01:23Hollow then wakes up inside of a building, with someone telling him he has been asleep for the past three
01:28days.
01:29But Hollow recognizes this person as the 45th hero, Zeyu.
01:34Hollow is of course glad to see him, but he sees he has chained since the last time he saw
01:40him.
01:40Zeyu tells him that his friends are fine as well, and to put on some new clothes before they go
01:46check out the village.
01:47Once they step out, Hollow can't believe that there are still areas that are so peaceful and prosperous in the
01:54world at this point.
01:55Zeyu asks about everyone else, with Hollow telling him that the king came down with a disease, with everyone else
02:02teleporting away, leaving him and his group behind.
02:06Some of the villagers admire him for being a hero, but he just ignores them, calling himself a former hero.
02:13With Hollow asking, what happened to him to make him this way?
02:17And he basically says the same thing that happened to Hollow, where he got utterly defeated by his demon lord,
02:24showing how weak he is compared to them.
02:27Hollow tells him not to give up, but he tries to pull a move on him, with Hollow easily reversing
02:34it.
02:34With him then spiraling into a rant, talking about how they were just useless pawns that the mages used to
02:41distract the demon lords while they summoned help from the other worlds.
02:45He tries to then fight Hollow, but he is very sloppy with his moves, and quickly tires himself out.
02:53With Hollow comforting him, saying that they still have to do all that they can to help others, and that
02:59he doesn't care if he is a pawn, because as long as he can keep everyone safe and happy, it's
03:05worth it to him.
03:06A alarm then interrupts them, with a giant owl from Gai's wrath showing up, trying to attack the villagers.
03:12But Zayu tells Hollow to stand down because he will just get in the way, with us then seeing that
03:20the people have soul containers that form into guns that easily blast the owl out of the sky.
03:25I started blasting, bam!
03:27With us ending off the chapter with him saying that when he stumbled across here, that he saw heroes that
03:33were on an entire different level to the both of them, and that they made this village into one of
03:40the greatest fortresses of humanity.
03:42So for the natural enemy side of things, we don't have much to talk about.
03:47We do know now that the titans like us sleep at night, so traveling during the night time is a
03:53good way to avoid them.
03:55And we see another Gai's wrath creature, the Omen Owl from the Verdant Forest, which just seems like a low
04:02to mid-tier animal in the food chain of that forest.
04:07With the main attraction of the chapter being the world tree, which is enormous, causing anyone that sees it for
04:15the first time to be overwhelmed by its sheer size, with them fainting soon after.
04:21Other than those few things, humanity was the main focus of this chapter, so let's move on to them.
04:27Alright, first I want to cover the world building, then I'll move on to the characters.
04:31And we finally see what are the after effects of Red, which seems to be weakening you for some time
04:38after use along with exhausting you, for what I am guessing is the hour of use you get out of
04:45it.
04:45Then with Spiral Mountain, we already know that it has a strong air current that makes titans not want to
04:52climb it.
04:53Then we see the only way to safely get to the village is to squeeze through a narrow ridge and
04:59to cross a waterfall leading to the village.
05:01Which is at the top of the mountain, pretty out of reach of any titans.
05:06And it keeps a lot of enemies away, because not many beings are going to go that out of the
05:12way to climb this mountain, with the village probably only having to deal with random flying enemies that pop in
05:20now and then.
05:20With us even seeing they use a cursed gun to kill anything that threatens them, which could be a problem
05:27in the future because we know it either takes living beings energy or the soil itself to power those.
05:35But overall, right now they seem to be living a pretty decent life up here so far.
05:40And there is not a lot to say about our group as a whole this chapter, with all of them
05:45fainting once they saw the world tree.
05:48But Hollow was able to hold out longer than the others, and Pakia was already nerfed from the red he
05:54took.
05:55And like I said before, Bast was just busting once he laid eyes on the tree.
06:01And I'm coming!
06:01Then the new character we get this chapter is Zeyu, the 45th hero, who like Hollow in the first chapter,
06:08has given up on being a hero once he utterly failed in beating his demon lord.
06:14And we still get to see that he is at least stronger than any normal person here, with how fast
06:19he was trying to hit Hollow.
06:21But from his performance, Pakia may be able to beat him as well.
06:26And he comments that Pane Pane is the weakest of the support fairies as well, which might make sense since
06:34we have only seen him really have super smell and some basic support skills.
06:39And I can't blame him for how he is feeling since they trained their entire lives to become heroes and
06:46just ended up getting no to lowdift by demon lords along with his party probably being dead as well.
06:54What I do think he is of course wrong about is him thinking that they were just decoys when they
07:01were just plan A of beating the demons, and the mage's plan for summoning other worlds was plan B.
07:08Which once they saw that the many heroes were dying in their quests, and none of them were able to
07:14defeat even one demon lord, they decided to put their plan B into action, before the demon lords would notice
07:21what they were doing and possibly stop them.
07:24And from what we have seen, he may be pulled out of this despair by our protagonist Hollow, showing him
07:30the true essence of a hero.
07:32And we do get a monologue about him talking about a hero that showed this village how to protect itself,
07:39so I'm sure we will get on that next chapter.
07:42So this was an alright chapter, a little slow, but we got some decent content out of it.
