00:00:41didn't miss I would suggest that you don't miss this coming Monday night
00:00:46because it is now official Hollywood Hulk Hogan the WCW champion is contractually
00:00:56obligated to be in the Georgia Dome this coming Monday night for Nitro to
00:01:01defend the WCW heavyweight title belt against what I feel is the number one
00:01:10contender Goldberg oh wow oh yes
00:01:40ladies and gentlemen Nitro it's on the air and you are looking live as we come to you
00:01:48from the professional wrestling capital of the world Atlanta Georgia
00:01:52where over 30,000 fans are in in the Georgia Dome and what will go down as the biggest night

00:02:05as we kick off WCW Monday Nitro you are looking live as this has been the hottest
00:02:13in Atlanta Georgia throughout the summertime it's been the most anticipated date
00:02:19for many many months but as of last Thursday it got even hotter when James J.
00:02:25Dillon made his announcement of the world title belt that will unfold here tonight
00:02:31between the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Hollywood Hogan and the man
00:02:37undeniably the number one contender we're talking about Goldberg and what a setting
00:02:44ladies and gentlemen to bring you WCW Monday Nitro yes this is our second trip to the
00:02:50Georgia Dome but never in the history of world championship wrestling has there ever
00:02:54been a night like this you know we talked about it earlier Tony Schiavone by the way
00:02:58along with Iron Mike today and the living legend Larry Zabisco you know Mike we talked
00:03:02about it earlier the feeling in Atlanta Georgia all weekend it was the 4th of July weekend
00:03:08but more importantly to wrestling fans around the world it was Nitro weekend here in Atlanta
00:03:12well it was an absolute electric atmosphere since the announcement last week on Thunder by J.
00:03:18J.
00:03:18Dillon Tony as you know as you can attest as well as Larry everywhere that we went over this
00:03:24Independence Day holiday the entire wrestling world the entire sports community
00:03:30is talking about this evening's Nitro and that matchup between Hogan and Goldberg
00:03:35well fans here we are as you can hear 35,000 plus standing and cheering
00:03:42of course you see the man to my left you want to stand up for your kudos right now
00:03:46well I've got something to say because the fireworks have not ended yet since the dawn
00:03:52of time and carbon-based life form has pulled themselves out of that primitive puddle of slime
00:04:00mankind has become the dominant creature on the planet earth Goldberg has proved we have
00:04:07reached the epitome of evolution and tonight he gets his chance at the ultimate the heavyweight
00:04:13championship of the world I'll be right back all right you stand up for your kudos the fans will

00:04:59or does the 106 match winning string of Goldberg come to an end well this just came to an end

00:06:20big time world championship matchup from that man and I can tell you there are not many people

00:16:52understand that upcoming this sunday bash at the beach on pay-per-view the bout between booker t and
00:16:59bret the hitman hart that also will be for the world's tv title and of course booker t has to get
00:17:04by malenko in order to put that tv title on the line this sunday against the hitman bell sounds here we go
00:17:11the match for the television belt want to let you know once again if you just joined us you may have
00:17:15heard the comments from hollywood hogan who said hey i did not agree to put the belt against goldberg
00:17:21here tonight but if goldberg can beat my brother from the nwo later on in this program then i'll get

00:17:33really difficult and would be wrong to speculate but it's someone from nwo black and white that
00:17:39apparently goldberg's got to get in the ring against here tonight before he can get his shot

00:22:36sure has and canyon is going to get that opportunity to eliminate raven right here and right now the
00:22:42master of disguise canyon it's been a long-running rivalry that he has had with raven and the flock
00:22:48it goes back several months if you remember it started off with the then mortis wanting acceptance
00:22:54by the flock to join this man's group raven deemed him not acceptable to join the flock and ever since
00:23:01then he's been living with canyon in his face you know it's amazing all through history every leader
00:23:09of a group every dictator always came tumbling down from the turmoil and the resentment and the jealousy
00:23:19within and raven just was loading and canyon wasting no time trying to dispose of raven as the fisticuffs
