00:14:57Two men who revolutionized this great sport when they formed the New World Order
00:15:03will do battle on August 14th in Sturgis, South Dakota at Road Wilde 99.
00:15:10We never thought we would see these two who have been through thick and thin together
00:15:15go one-on-one, but they will at Road Wilde.
00:15:18Hogan and Nash.
00:15:20Before the NWO, before the Wolfpack, before Four Life and Two Sweet were fashionable,
00:15:32there was Hulk Hogan, legend, star, WCW world champion.
00:15:41Things changed.
00:15:43The spring of 96, the shocking return of Kevin Nash,
00:15:47one of the most powerful and dominant wrestlers ever.
00:15:50He had plans of his own.
00:15:53At Bash at the Beach in July 1996, the face of pro wrestling would change forever.
00:15:59And so were the careers of Hogan and Nash.
00:16:02Over the past four years, it's been Hogan and Nash.
00:16:06Nash and Hogan, wrestling's biggest names and most successful stars.
00:16:12Together, leading the NWO, they were unstoppable.
00:16:17Road Wilde 1996 became their crowning jewel.
00:16:21During that period, the world title remained the focus of Hogan.
00:16:26And keeping the belt on Hogan became the focus of Nash and the NWO.
00:16:31The alliance of Hogan and Nash was seemingly unstoppable, unshakable, until friction developed in early 1997.
00:16:40It seemed as if Nash and Hogan were going separate ways until an in-ring open discussion put them back together.
00:16:47Was ambition and ego coming between the two giants?
00:16:51The unity was showing its first cracks.
00:16:54With a crisis averted, the NWO forged ahead.
00:16:59But things began to drastically change.
00:17:03Sting defeated Hogan for the world title at Starrcade of that year.
00:17:08The finger-pointing began.
00:17:10The Empire began to crumble.
00:17:13The NWO divided into two factions.
00:17:16Hogan in charge of one.
00:17:18Nash the other.
00:17:20Then, the biggest blow between the two.
00:17:23Nash had just helped the Macho Man dethrone Sting and bring the title back to the NWO.
00:17:30The following night, Hogan tried to pry the title from Savage.
00:17:35Nash is determined!
00:17:37Here he comes!
00:17:38The powerbomb Hollywood!
00:17:40Hogan prevailed and ruled as world champ again.
00:17:44Until he met Goldberg.
00:17:47Hogan decided that his career was at an end and announced he would leave the ring and run for president.
00:17:55This opened the door for Nash and his ambitions to become world champion.
00:18:01And at Starrcade 98, with the help of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash realized his dream.
00:18:07Or did he?
00:18:09On an unforgettable night in January of this year, an elaborate plan unfolded.
00:18:15Nash literally gave the title back to Hogan and put the good of the NWO Wolf Pact ahead of his own desires.
00:18:23Hogan's new world title reign came to an end a few months later at the hands of Ric Flair.
00:18:29Flair's reign as champion and WCW president gave Hogan and Nash newfound trust.
00:18:35But it wouldn't last long.
00:18:39In an effort to try to regain the title, Hogan was injured at the hands of DDP, an injury requiring knee surgery.
00:18:49It was during that time that Nash regained control of the title and enjoyed the adoration of the fans.
00:18:55WCW.
00:18:57This was his time.
00:19:00Enter the Macho Man.
00:19:02There's your new world's champion, Randy Macho Man Savage.
00:19:07One night later, a boastful savage was quick to defend the title against almost anyone.
00:19:13Hogan's appearance shocked everyone, and he showed great respect for Kevin Nash.
00:19:19Nash, just as in the past years, was there to help Hogan, but this time, the motive was much different.
00:19:27Over the years, Road Wilde has seen Hollywood Hogan reign supreme, with Kevin Nash always there to help out.
00:19:35But this year, the battle in Sturgis will take a completely different turn.
00:19:40It will be Hogan against Nash.
00:19:43Hogan will look to continue the dominance that has made his name synonymous with the world heavyweight title.
00:19:50Kevin Nash is haunted by his own actions of the past, and looks to forever stake his claim as wrestling's top star.
00:19:59The battleground, the Black Hills of Sturgis.
00:20:03Hollywood Hogan meets Kevin Nash for the world title.
