00:21so far we sailed 2,182 nautical miles sunrise is not yet it's going to be at seven o'clock

00:47it is 70 degrees and it's going to be a nice warm day today
00:53there was our trip and again currently pulling back into port now the fun part begins packing
01:07the carry-ons getting breakfast and try to figure out how we disembark and what the
01:16actual procedure is
01:24well our suitcases are gone that's a good sign and the staff is ready to turn the rooms
01:43let's see what they have up in the ocean view cafe for our final breakfast meal on ship
01:52i'm sure they're going to have a lot of really neat setups for us
01:57whoa if you're in for a sweet breakfast look at this donut setup oh my goodness
02:05first off is the gogo juice hot tea
02:08then we check out the enormous french toast texas toast kind of thing even thicker than texas toast
02:16but i was good so did the vegan thing which again eh they do an okay job most of the
02:26time for
02:27the vegan meals not something that i'd write home about and here we are pulling in to port canaveral and
02:40we'll be disembarking soon
02:44if i remember we'll take you through the process
02:48because we have no idea really what to expect
02:52now the group that we booked this cruise with
02:56we booked it as a concierge class
03:02booking so we got to go to the concierge when we had any questions
03:07which i guess if this is your first cruise or like us first cruise in 20 years

03:16then maybe concierge paying that little bit more might be worth it because the concierge
03:23they were our friends
03:25as concierge class
03:27we were invited to chill out in the normandy restaurant
03:33and wait for our numbers to be called
03:35and the numbers correspond to what we showed you on the last episode
03:41which is the numbers on the side of the tag
03:44which we are 24
03:46so we just wait for 24 to be called
03:49and then we disembark
03:53some way
03:55and on our cruise
03:56we're supposed to vacate our room by 7 30

05:26but it was a place that
05:28we figured we already paid for
05:30with the class of room that we got with our tour group

05:37now it wasn't until we actually got there where we found out
05:42they did have a little bit of a continental breakfast there
05:45however i think we did better where we were at
05:49it was a little more filling
05:52celebrity apex is currently engaged in a refueling operation on our starboard
05:56for your safety smoking is temporarily imposed in the open deck area
06:01we just chilled out
06:03luann did some knitting we met up with friends of ours sue from the villages skip and sue youtube channel
06:13and our mutual friend judy at this point you just wait until your number is called
06:25and then you disembark on the deck that they tell you to go to
06:30on this ship it was deck five
06:33yeah
06:44there is a lot of waiting
06:45there is a lot of walking
06:46so be prepared for that

06:50with all the excitement when we embarked the ship
06:54we forgot how long the ramp was
06:56so you know you walk down you turn you walk

07:01so you eventually get there
07:04then once you actually get to the port
07:07just follow the crowd and you eventually get to where you need to go
07:12there is also a lot of signage
07:13just be prepared for long lines again
07:21and once you get down to the baggage retrieval area
07:25you just look for the big numbers that correspond to the numbers that were on your suitcase
07:31and again in our case was 24
07:33you pick up your suitcases
07:38oh 24 is way down there
07:42okay hold on i'm gonna ask about the naughty table

07:56we found them both
07:59okay now i think we go through security and customs
08:03although customs wasn't too bad this time but i couldn't show you that
08:08for security reasons they wouldn't let me film it
08:10and then in our case we had to find the naughty table
08:14because i unfortunately left my pair of pliers in my backpack
08:19because i used my backpack for a go bag
08:22with all my equipment on regular shooting
08:26when i'm out videotaping in my local area
08:30oh well definitely an oops on my part
08:32hopefully i'll do better if we do another cruise sometime in the future
08:37but you'll see what we think about that in an upcoming episode
08:41where we talk about our experiences
08:44and our opinions
08:45that i think will be a great source of information
08:48if you are thinking about a similar cruise like this
08:52but anyhow
08:53after customs
08:54it takes you right out into the loading zones
08:58where you pick up your airport shuttles
09:00rental car shuttles
09:01um taxis
09:03you get to go to off street parking
09:05it kind of has signs for that
09:08so supposedly where we're supposed to check in is way down here
09:12so
09:13just follow the signs
09:15and you should be able to get to where you need to go
09:19we're going back to the hotel in style

09:22the airport shuttle took us back to the holiday and express
09:26that you saw at the beginning of this whole escapade
09:29where we picked up our car that we had paid to park there during our cruise
09:34and then we went to this awesome restaurant called the coastal vegan grill
09:40your destination is on the left
09:42it's actually not too far away from the port
09:45now don't let the word vegan turn you off because these ladies in there
09:50they make stuff that you would not believe that is vegan
09:54happy valentine's day
10:04i mean i i'm a vegan in training at this point
10:08and i really enjoyed it

10:15and it was during valentine's that we were there

10:21and we even picked up a few snacks
