00:11We've hit land, Key West.
00:40We are ready for the day.
00:45Key West, here we come.
01:10The travel agency that we booked with did give us about $150 in excursion credits.
01:18But here in Key West, there was a lot of things that we saw that, yeah, were neat, but we
01:25could do on our own.
01:26So what we did is we pre-booked a golf cart and we decided to go around ourselves to things
01:34like the iconic USA 1 end of the road.
01:38But we could not take a picture with the southernmost point of the U.S.
01:45because there was a big hurricane that kind of wiped out that area and they were reconstructing.
01:52Where that southernmost point iconic Bowie was.
01:57However, we did see chickens and we decided we're going to go out for lunch.
02:01And the place we chose was the cafe.
02:07And that's really what it was called, the cafe.
02:10It had very good food.
02:12And then we decided to walk down around the corner to the Ernest Hemingway home.
02:19That's the place that has the six-toed cats.
02:24Now, not all the cats in there has six toes, but a lot of them did.
02:29We had a really fun time going through there.
02:32I actually have a separate episode on the Ernest Hemingway home.
02:37That's not really related to this cruise, so we're not going to go through the home right now.
02:43Well, at least not a whole bunch of it.
02:46I'll just give you a little bit of a taste here.
02:48It was really fun, really educational, and quite enjoyable.
02:54Especially when, yes, you were able to pet the kitty cats.
02:57But some of them, if they didn't want to be pet, they let you know by a little bit of
03:01a hiss.
03:02So, just don't push it with the cats.
03:07But if they let you pet them, supposedly you can pet them.
03:13Nothing.
03:15Nothing.
03:16No.
03:17No.
03:25There's some little steps right there.

03:39Didn't bother it a bit.
03:41Now, afterwards, we decided we're in Key West, so we might as well get some key lime pie.
03:48And there was one place that everyone said to go to that has excellent plant-based vegan key lime pie.
03:57And it was excellent.
04:00And that place is the well-known moon dog.
04:04So, if you need really good key lime pie, and really good plant-based vegan key lime pie,
04:14moon dog is the place to go.
04:21I'm not sharing.
04:23It's all mine.
04:24It's good.
04:26Afterwards, we decided to just drive around Key West for a little bit.
04:30But then we had to drop off the cart and go back to the ship.
04:53Getting back onto the ship was just like pretty much the first day,
04:58except when you go through security, security is actually on the ship.
05:02So, you just walk through, put your bags on the x-ray machine belts,
05:08go through the other side, pick them up, and you're good.
05:11So, easy peasy.
05:13Then after a little rest, and me changing into my long pants,
05:18because you can't wear shorts to dinner,
05:20we decided we're going to go to the Cosmopolitan restaurant,
05:24which is where we were last night.
05:26And you can see the past episode.
05:30This night went a lot better than last night.
05:33And they even had our own vegan menu.
05:37So, again, a lot smoother than yesterday.

05:53After the evening meal, we decided to go to the club to see the headliner,
05:59Julie Barr.
06:00Now, Julie Barr is a comedian.
06:03She was good.
06:04He had a few chuckles.
06:06But she did hold back because we went to the early show.
06:10The late show after 10 o'clock is when she's allowed to let loose,
06:15and it's a more adult-oriented show.
06:17Celebrity Apex.
06:18How's everybody doing?
06:21Well, welcome, everybody.
06:22Thank you for joining.
06:23If we have not met yet, allow me to introduce myself.
06:26I am Dean, your activity manager here on board,
06:28coming all the way from Australia.
06:30Yes.
06:31She's been on HBO.
06:32She's been on Comedy Central.
06:33She's got way better jokes than me.
06:34Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the amazing Julie Barr.
06:42Hey, how are you?
06:44Because of the rules of the ship,
06:46she had to kind of PG her jokes a little bit for the times we were there.
06:52But overall, we had enjoyed it, and she did a good job.
06:57After the show, we went back to our room, got our catapes,
07:02and I'll explain that a little bit.
07:04In a moment.
07:06But then, that was it for the day.
07:09Every day, at least in the concierge class that our group was in,
07:15you do get catapes.
07:18And in our case, we ask just for fruit every day.
07:22And they have some of the same fruit,
07:25but they throw in little extras every once in a while.
07:31And the bottle of sparkling wine.
07:37You get one of those bottles per trip,
07:39but you do have to ask for it.
07:41It's not automatic in the concierge class.
