00:08We are in Bimini.
00:37In the morning to start off your day, you either do a continental breakfast in your room or you go
00:44to the Ocean View Cafe, which is the big buffet.
00:48We decided to check things out up there and see what they have available for vegans and you will see
00:56a plethora of choices for everyone else.
01:00Just take a look at this.
01:03And by the way, you'll see a little bit later with the breads, they didn't technically have vegan per se.
01:10But if you looked at vegetarian and lactose-free, those two together, of course, would make plant-based or vegan.
01:28Breakfast of champions.
01:43They also had a plethora of different coffees and Tetley and Twinnings teas that you can choose from.
01:52Finding a seat wasn't real hard, but you did have to look a little bit sometimes.
01:57What we found is the buffet food was just okay.
02:01And the fresh fruit, however, is something you could just get at your local supermarket.
02:06It wasn't really as elevated as we thought it was going to be, being on a premium cruise line like
02:12Celebrity.
02:14Exiting the ship was just like the last episode at Key West.
02:18You just go down to destination gateway, go through like a little mini security, but really you just tap your
02:26card to tell them you're leaving the ship.
02:28And then you walk down the pier.
02:38There is one museum if you ladies would like to do it.
02:43It's called the Dauphin House.
02:45And it's just this guy built the house with found items.
02:50And get on these really neat trolleys, which is really at the start of things to come that were a
03:00bit different here at Bimini.
03:21There were only three stops that this trolley would take you to.
03:25The resort, which is something you had to pay for as an extra excursion.
03:36The casino, which of course you have to pay money to use the casino.
03:50And the fisherman's village, which is just a place to buy stuff at Bimini, which we did go through a
03:57little bit later.
03:58You'll see that.
03:59But what we did is we got a golf cart and what on our own.
04:06And this is our adventures on Bimini.
04:10To give you a little bit of a layout, the island is about seven miles long and wide.
04:18It's about as wide as a football field.
04:21That's it.
04:22The free trolley, when you get off of the pier, you can go either left or right.
04:30If you go left, that's where the trolley takes you because that's where everything's built up.
04:35To the right is the real Bimini.
04:38So if you want to see the real Bimini, you need to run a golf cart and take off down.
04:46Really, they only have one main road that you go down.
04:50And you'll see there's a couple side roads that we took down as well a little bit later.
04:55But there's a lot to see.
04:58And there is one place in particular that we did go to.
05:03Actually, a few places in particular we did go to that I will highlight here in this video.
05:08So stay tuned for that.
05:11One place we were told to go was all the way to the end of the island.
05:17And you come to a beach.
05:19So we decided to go there and check that out.
05:23And this is what we saw.
05:25The water was absolutely beautiful.
05:27The sands were white, wonderful, clean.
05:33And we came across a few things like a retaining wall, a few shells.
05:40And we even got to meet a couple more of our fellow passengers.
05:46Spoke to them a little bit.
05:47Tried to find a few little treasures.
05:50And we even saw a glass boat.
05:54Not just a glass bottom boat, a full glass boat.
05:59Okay, probably not made out of glass, but you get the idea.
06:07And he's in there, too. Look at that.

06:16No, sorry, it's not alive. We can quit.
06:26Also at the end of this island is the Southern Public Cemetery.
06:31Now, if you've never been to an island cemetery or a coastal cemetery, it's very interesting on how they intern
06:41the dearly departed.
06:43It's also another way to learn the history of the island as far as when people came, when they started
06:51to bury people in the island, that kind of thing.
06:53Oh, yeah.
06:54And yes, you are allowed in there as long as you are being respectful.
06:58Uh-oh, looks like this one escaped.
07:02A big tip is go all the way through the cemetery.
07:06There is a break at the top that you can walk through the fenced area and you're going to come
07:11across a pretty neat surprise.
07:15Yep, that's a shipwreck.
07:18It is the Gallant Lady and she ran ashore during Hurricane Mitch in the late 1990s.
07:29I've seen different dates, but most of them say 1998.
07:33And it was a Belize freighter.
07:37And it's become a very popular, easily accessible spot for tourists to explore, photograph.
07:44And it is a stark reminder of nature's power.
07:50As you see here, over the years of exposure to sun and waves, it's reduced the ship to pretty much
07:58a broken, rusty shell.
08:00But it's still really neat to see.
08:02And is widely considered a must-see for visitors offering a scenic and quite eerie, yet kind of neat backdrop
08:12for photography and video.
08:15Oh, and just as a side note, the Gallant Lady Wreck is sometimes confused with the SS Sapona.
08:21But the Sapona is another famous, much older shipwreck that's also located near South Dimony, but it's offshore.
08:31It is beautiful here.
08:34Oh my goodness.
08:37Just look at that ocean.
08:40Whoa.
08:42Yeah, not exactly sure what this is, but it could have been the old area that the tourists used to
08:49go to.
08:49Not sure.
08:51But as we continued to walk to the south-most point of North Bimini Island,
08:59we came across these directional signs that visitors have put up to showcase their hometowns and how far away they
09:09were.
09:09And there's some advertisements on there as well.
09:12I just thought that was kind of neat and interesting.
09:16We finally made it to the southernmost point of North Bimini Island, and there was a lot of really picturesque
09:25views that you have down there.
09:27Now, stay tuned.

09:37So, again, don't go anywhere.
09:47On our way back to the cart, we came across a few more picturesque views that we wanted to share

10:04But once we got in the cart and we started taking off, we decided we're going to go to Fisherman's
10:11Village.
10:24There's a lot of touristy trap stuff here, of course, and they do have a lot of live music.
10:29So, just so I wouldn't get hit with copyright strike, I did have to double over the music, but again,
10:39I'm going to try to match it up as well as I can.
10:43A lot of the things here were a little out of our price range.
10:47Okay, a lot out of our price range for the most part, but we did have fun.
10:51You know, we joked around a little bit and did do some window shopping.

11:51After that, we went out back behind the Fisherman's Village to check out the docks.
12:09And we saw a seaplane landing, which was really cool.
12:13Unfortunately, because of where we were at, I couldn't get the landing.
12:17But I did get them pulling into the docks, which I thought was really neat.
12:32We got a little hungry, so we decided to go to Hemingway's.
12:37Now, there's two Hemingway's.
12:40There's the Hemingway that's in Allistown, which is the real Bimini area.
12:46And there's the Hemingway's that's in the casino.
12:50We decided to go to the one at the casino because that's where we knew for sure there was at
12:56least a couple vegan dishes.
12:58It was quite good.
13:00But as an island and a touristy area, of course, it was a little more expensive than we would normally
13:08pay for a meal.
13:09But overall, we would recommend.
13:12Next, we went to Radio Beach and risked life in Lim trying to make friends with the local wildlife.
13:32And a short walking distance from here was for me a very surprising highlight.
13:39And that is the Dolphin House.
13:41We plan to do an extensive and inclusive video on the Dolphin House on a different episode.

19:10It's just, it wasn't as elevated as what we were led to believe it would be
