00:00Hello and welcome back to another exciting episode. Today we are going to unbox and first use of the Ryobi 12 inch surface cleaner for the electric power washers.
00:18It has the three canister wheels. It's supposed to be four times faster cleaning than a standard nozzle. We'll see.
00:30And it has dual rotating high pressure water jets for streak free cleaning. So no streaking while you clean.
00:43Alrighty. Now on the bottom here, it does say about the castors. Excuse me. Again, it does have three. One, two, three.
00:56And it says dual rotating high pressure water jets. And that's these here. So it looks like there's like six in there. That's just the picture. It's just one on this side and one on that side.
01:10That's really all that means. Maximum 3,100 PSI. Well, I have a 2,000 PSI one. So that'll work. Easily attaches to the quarter inch quick connect spray wand. Alrighty.
01:26So let's go ahead and open this up. Oh, on my last video on the sprayer itself. Go take a look at the 40 volt 2000 PSI sprayer that I just did a video on. I got some really good feedback on that.
01:45One question was, can it actually hold the 12 amp hour battery? Because I said, it looks like it has the room, but I never actually put one in it. We'll find that out today.
01:57Also, I was asked, can it have one type of amp hour battery, like a six amp hour battery and a 12 amp hour battery? Or do they both have to be 12s and both have to be sixes?
02:12We're going to test that out today too. And the third question I got that was interesting was, how long do the Ryobi batteries, the 40 volt lithium batteries last?
02:24Well, I was trying to think of how many actually died on me. There weren't too many. So I was thinking, eh, around five years. But one just died on me yesterday. So, this one, a 40 volt lithium 5 amp hour battery that I got in 2017.
02:49So if you think about that, 2017, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26. Nine years. Now, I use these pretty hard. So, nine years on a battery, that's pretty darn good.
03:08So, between five and nine years. How's that? At least on average, that I found for me.
03:18All right. So, let's get this thing opened. How did we get this open? Okay. Let's go on this end.
03:25Okay. Take it out of the bag. Ooh. It has some instructions. The surface. Okay. So, you do have... Oh, no. The canvas?
03:54This is how to put the castors in it, but the castors are in it. Okay.
04:03So, there's the... It got excited.
04:07So, there's the attachment that goes to the end of the wand.
04:13I wonder if I should have got a wand extender.
04:15We'll find out when we get out there.
04:20On the bottom, we do have...
04:23The dual head sprayer.
04:27Again. Ooh.
04:28And they're cocked a little bit to keep that thing moving.
04:31We have three casters.
04:36And...
04:37We have...
04:40Kind of a seal, I guess you would call it.
04:44That is like a brush.
04:46That's neat.
04:48Let's see.
04:49And it does...
04:51Well, around pretty good.
04:53All right.
04:53Let's go out and...
04:55Give this thing a shot.
04:58Oh.
04:59And...
05:00If you're wondering why I unboxed this inside...
05:04Instead of...
05:05Outside...
05:07Well, there's an answer for that.
05:09Because...
05:09On the last video, I also got some comments.
05:11Because I was outside and there was...
05:14Lawns being mowed.
05:15And there was...
05:17Wind.
05:18Little wind in there.
05:19My voice wasn't getting picked up as well as it normally is.
05:23So that was irritating.
05:26So...
05:27Okay.
05:27I listened.
05:28Oh.
05:28What is this thing?
05:31Oh.
05:32A nozzle cleaning tool.
05:34Look at that.
05:41It's a little piece of wire.
05:44So I guess...
05:45If you need to...
05:47Clean the nozzles.
05:49Oh.
05:50I see.
05:51So if...
05:52These nozzles get...
05:54Clogged up...
05:56There you go.
05:58Ha ha.
05:59They thought of everything.
06:01Look at that.
06:02And it's just...
06:03The right size.
06:05Thank you, Ryobi.
06:07Ryobi.
06:09Ryobi Ryobi.
06:12Now I've got to figure out where to put that.
06:14Somewhere on the machine I'll be able to figure that out.
06:17All right.
06:18Let's go testing.
06:21It's going to be fun.
06:25If you want to see how all this is set up...
06:27Go to the last video...
06:30And that'll give you a pretty good indication on how it's done.
06:34Now one thing I am curious about...
06:36I wonder if this will work with just one battery in it.
06:44Oh.
06:46The answer is yes.
06:47Ha ha ha.
06:48Okay.
06:51Let's go ahead...
06:52And see if that 12-amp-hour battery will actually fit in there.
07:06And yes, it does.
07:08Look at that.
07:10And will it close.
07:12Yep.
07:13It closes and seals.
07:14Now let's see if two different amps...
07:186-amp-hour and 12-amp-hour...
07:20If it'll run.
07:23Okay.
07:24Light is on.
07:27Yep.
07:29It works.
07:30All right.
07:32Okay.
07:33It looks like...
07:34Just like any other attachment.
07:39Pull that up.
07:40Push that down.
07:40And it clicks into place.
07:44Okie dokie.
07:49Just pull that trigger.
07:55Ooh.
08:00It's very quiet.
08:07You can tell over here...
08:09When I did it with the high...
08:11Power sprayer...
08:13Nozzle...
08:15How well it did.
08:19But because of all the water...
08:21You can't quite tell...
08:22Ha ha ha.
08:22Right now...
08:24How well it's doing.
08:24You can kind of see swirls.
08:28I think it's doing a heck of a job.
08:30Well...
08:39And it doesn't look like I need an extension either...
08:45Because this is pretty good...
08:46Well...
08:46It feels pretty good anyway...
08:48As far as the distance.
08:51Definitely a lot faster...
08:56Than...
08:57Just a sprayer head.
08:59But I think I'm going to have to go back...
09:01With a sprayer head...
09:02To get the corners.
09:07And you can tell when...
09:08Like rocks or...
09:10Something gets underneath...
09:12You can hear it kind of bouncing around in there...
09:14And then you just kind of...
09:16Turn it to the side...
09:17Ha ha.
09:17And it'll spit out whatever's in there.
09:22Wow.
09:23Yeah.
09:23This is a lot, lot quicker.
09:25Much more efficient.
09:26Like I said...
09:28I think I'm going to have to use that sprayer...
09:30To get...
09:31Right on the edges.
09:33Especially up...
09:34Against here.
09:37On the other side...
09:38With the...
09:39Grass...
09:40Yeah, I can get right along the edge.
09:42So that's not too...
09:44Too big of a deal.
09:47But any missers that I have...
09:49Or...
09:50Up against...
09:53The landscaping...
09:54I'm definitely going to have to use a sprayer...
09:57To get in there.
09:59But overall...
10:01I'm happy with it.
10:12Okay, now...
10:13All I have to do...
10:15Really is...
10:16Just take a regular garden hose sprayer...
10:18And just spray off the dirt...
10:20Without buildup...
10:21That was...
10:22Kind of pulled up from the cement.
10:25And that's it.
10:26Although...
10:27What I'm probably going to do is...
10:29You know...
10:30Play with the...
10:31Sprayer...
10:33A high power sprayer...
10:34Because I still have corners...
10:36That I didn't want to get too close to the...
10:39Landscaping.
10:42But...
10:42It made it all the way to the end...
10:44And...
10:46Let's see what power we have here.
10:49Left...
10:50On the 6 amp hour...
10:53I got...
10:552 bars...
10:56And on the 12 amp hour...
10:59I got...
11:032 bars.
11:04Okay.
11:04So...
11:07Got this whole area done...
11:10Except for the first few...
11:12Squares that I did...
11:14Just with the high power sprayer...
11:16To...
11:17Demonstrate when I unboxed the...
11:19Power sprayer itself.
11:20Oh, and by the way...
11:23This is just with water.
11:25I didn't use any soap...
11:26Or chemicals on it...
11:27At all.
11:29That was just water.
11:30Wow.
11:32Well...
11:33I thank you for coming along with me today...
