Welcome back everyone, and welcome back to the final part of the Monster Association arc.
00:06
This will be the last One Punch Man webcomic video I will be doing for a while,
00:10
since I am going to be starting a new review series on My Hero Academia.
00:16
I will still try to get videos on this series out when I can,
00:20
but they will only come out once a month probably.
00:24
And I am telling you this so you guys know what's gonna be going on for the channel.
00:30
Now, let's begin.
00:32
Garo, in his now complete monster form, starts with Sweet Mask,
00:37
criticizing his rule that heroes must be beautiful,
00:40
calling it for what it is, narcissism.
00:44
Then he moves on to Atomic, who begs him not to do anything to his disciples.
00:49
Garo says that the world isn't so sweet that a downed opponent won't be attacked,
00:54
and that Atomic is using excuses not to jump in himself,
00:58
like not having his weapon.
01:00
He makes fun of Pig God for being so fat and barely doing any hero work.
01:06
Genos has now gotten a good look at him, and can't believe what he is turned into.
01:12
Then he moves on to Zombie Man, saying that he never has to worry about dying because of his powers.
01:18
Zombie Man tries to reason with him, but Garo just comes to the conclusion that he will never understand his reasoning.
01:25
Tatsumaki comes back to attack him, and he just says that she is nothing special, even compared to her sister,
01:34
and he then tells her that Fubuki's dead body is over there, of course enraging Tatsumaki.
01:40
While she is trying to kill him, he comes up with a name for his new martial arts style,
01:45
after absorbing and fusing many styles he has come across, calling it the Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist.
01:54
Atomic tries to cut him, using Iain's blade, but gets easily defeated.
01:59
Tatsumaki tries to hold him in place, while the others try to pack on as much damage as possible,
02:05
but it still seems to do nothing to him.
02:08
And man, this panel of Sweetmask getting his face caved in,
02:12
it was one of the more brutal things that have come out of the series.
02:18
Tatsumaki also passes out from overuse of her powers.
02:22
After all that, Flashy Flash finally appears with Saitama.
02:27
Flash uses his secret technique, Lightspeed Fist, but Garou was still able to block it.
02:33
They keep fighting, when Puri and Darkshine show up as well, and start fighting him.
02:39
Zombieman thinks there might be a chance that they could win,
02:42
but he doesn't think they can win through numbers alone.
02:46
They need someone at the same level as Garou to beat him.
02:49
We also see King running into the still alive Fubuki,
02:53
and we get the answer to the question Garou asked before.
02:56
And it's that she saw fear when looking at him.
03:00
Garou keeps fighting them, and Darkshine tells him that he is different from when they fought before,
03:05
because now, he has the determination to truly bet his life on this fight.
03:11
But Garou just shuts him down, saying that anyone can do that.
03:15
And during all of this, Saitama keeps trying to butt in,
03:19
but everybody just keeps continuing the fight, ignoring him.
03:22
After beating everyone, Garou announces to all of them that he is going to go kill Tario.
03:29
He goads them on, to come stop him, and show him that they have a reason for existing.
03:35
Zombieman tries to reason with him again,
03:37
but Garou just tells him he is a coward, even with his advantage of his regenerating body.
03:42
And then we just cut to him pulverized on the ground, not even being recognizable.
03:48
He then keeps walking forward, disappointed that none of them are trying to stop him,
03:53
even though he has beat all of them within an inch of their lives,
03:57
yelling at them that this is their last chance.
04:00
Evil Natural Water comes back,
04:02
and would have most likely killed the downed heroes,
04:05
until we see Saitama take care of it,
04:07
asking Garou,
04:08
what is he supposed to be?
04:10
And he tells Garou that he looks like a guy in cosplay,
04:14
with Garou just talking down to him.
04:17
Garou tells him for taunting him, he will kill Tario in front of him,
04:21
but Saitama said that he's not even going in the right direction.
04:25
And because of that, he doesn't think Garou is a monster.
04:29
And he announces that he will now kick his ass.
04:32
Then we get a bit of comedy, with him walking to Garou while he is talking,
04:36
and says, are you chicken, with Garou lashing out, starting their fight.
04:41
After Garou attacked him, he thinks he beat Saitama,
04:45
only for him to come out of the smoke and punch him,
04:48
saying that this was the first time a monster went easy on him.
04:52
Garou gets back up, and begins to take the fight seriously.
04:56
He begins to realize that Saitama is above him in pure stats,
05:00
but with his knowledge and observation skills, he can defeat him,
05:05
with him being so amateurish, he will never be able to win.
05:09
Saitama just tells him that he is impressed,
05:12
but still can tell he is holding back,
05:14
and begins to use one of his serious moves.
05:17
Serious table flip.
05:19
Causing all of the debris on the ground to suddenly fly up into the air,
05:24
taking Garou with it.
05:25
He then gets attacked by Saitama in the sky,
05:28
and tries to match him, but quickly gets overwhelmed.
05:32
He tries to create distance between them,
05:34
but ends up lodging himself in the ground.
05:37
Because it turns out, he was launched so high up in the air,
05:41
his senses got confused on what direction the ground was.
05:45
He then starts to think that he needs more power,
05:48
as he still is getting beaten down on by Saitama.
05:51
He then realizes that that's not it,
05:54
and goes through a list of what he needs,
05:56
but he can't think of anything that would work,
05:59
coming to the conclusion that his power is just unfair.
06:03
He thinks he must become unfair as well,
06:06
with him seemingly going through another transformation.
06:10
He then exclaims that the world he is striving for is absolute evil,
06:15
and that will be accomplished with Saitama's death.
06:18
transforming even further into a beast,
06:21
but still loses.
06:23
Garou tells him to finish him off,
06:25
but he just says there is no meaning to keep fighting,
06:29
since he is not even responsive at this point,
06:32
barely standing up.
06:33
Garou keeps yapping about his ideals,
06:36
until Saitama just tells him to shut the fuck up.
06:39
The other heroes tell Saitama to just kill Garou,
06:42
so he won't be a problem in the future,
06:44
but he just says that Garou is still human.
06:47
Garou then goes on another tirade about his beliefs,
06:51
saying that with heroes around,
06:53
people are free to just live their lives,
06:55
thinking a hero will handle any kind of problem,
06:58
and in that place of complacency,
07:01
evil will grow.
07:03
But if a monster were to appear,
07:05
that no one could defeat,
07:06
it would bring people together,
07:08
out of pure survival,
07:10
getting rid of bullying and discrimination,
07:12
making all the world hold hands in terror of the ultimate monster,
07:17
saying that the world doesn't need biased justice,
07:20
it needs unbiased absolute evil.
07:23
Finishing off the rant,
07:25
asking Saitama why he is a hero,
07:28
and he just tells him,
07:30
it's a hobby.
07:31
Enraging Garou,
07:32
telling him that that is not a satisfying answer.
07:35
Seeing this tantrum,
07:36
Saitama sees that Garou did have an image of the ideal hero,
07:40
but never thought he could become that,
07:43
so just compromised in becoming a monster.
07:46
He tells him he took the quick and easy way out,
07:48
but now,
07:49
since he knows that that way won't work,
07:52
what will he do now?
07:54
And Garou doesn't know what to do next.
07:57
The rest of the heroes again insist on killing him,
08:00
with Saitama refusing,
08:01
until Silver Fang arrives.
08:03
He starts to scold him,
08:05
but Garou says that there is no power behind his blows,
08:09
with Sweet Mask again stopping him,
08:11
insisting that he will kill him,
08:13
and Garou doesn't even want to live at this point.
08:16
But then Tario comes out,
08:18
telling them to not kill him,
08:20
since he saved him twice,
08:22
getting in the way to try to stop them from killing Garou.
08:25
Seeing this,
08:26
Garou's eyes get some life back into them,
08:29
and he just disappears,
08:30
running away.
08:31
All of the other heroes start to panic,
08:34
but Saitama just is thinking about how his house is now gone.
08:38
Ending the chapter.
08:40
Alright,
08:41
this had a lot of stuff packed into it.
08:43
I'm saving Garou for last,
08:45
so let's go through everyone else first.
08:48
Darkshine had at least some character development,
08:51
with him coming back,
08:52
trying to stop Garou.
08:53
Sweet Mask keeps showing how shallow his heroism is,
08:57
wanting to kill Garou,
08:59
even though he has not killed any humans this whole time,
09:02
and could have easily killed him,
09:05
but didn't.
09:06
And even trying to step over Bang,
09:08
who was trying to reprimand Garou,
09:10
so he could at least try to redeem him.
09:12
With Bang,
09:13
I just kinda covered him,
09:15
and I am sure he is happy Garou is still alive.
09:18
Flashy was really impressive,
09:20
with his speed and power he showed,
09:22
with Garou even saying he may have lost to him
09:25
before he completed his transformation.
09:28
Tatsumaki kept trying to push on,
09:31
but did eventually reach her limit,
09:33
and Fubuki seemed traumatized from seeing Garou.
09:37
With the rest of the characters,
09:38
I am not really going to talk about,
09:40
since there's nothing really there.
09:42
Saitama though,
09:43
has a decent amount to talk about.
09:46
Saitama reiterates that he is just being a hero for fun,
09:50
since he likes helping people,
09:51
and hopes to get a thrill while doing it.
09:53
He saw through Garou,
09:55
seeing who he truly was,
09:57
and eventually got fed up with him,
09:59
knocking some sense into him.
10:01
He had some more cool showings of his power,
10:03
with the serious table flip,
10:06
which had great artwork,
10:08
and I love the fight in it.
10:09
Along with it ending with Garou crashing into the ground.
10:12
But now, he has to deal with being homeless,
10:15
so we will see how he's going to deal with that.
10:18
Now I must get into my personal favorite character in the series,
10:22
and in many other series,
10:24
Garou.
10:25
I feel like he was just,
10:27
peak,
10:28
for this whole arc.
10:29
I love seeing how elated he was,
10:32
to finally be at what he saw as the perfect monster,
10:36
and him tearing down the heroes physically,
10:38
and ideologically.
10:40
Because a lot of things he was saying about the heroes,
10:43
were true.
10:45
And then the revelation that he wanted to be a hero,
10:48
but never thought he could fix the world that way,
10:51
since it would be too difficult doing it,
10:54
the quote unquote,
10:55
right way.
10:56
So he decided to become a monster,
10:58
since he always saw them as the little guy,
11:01
never even having a chance to win,
11:03
and being beaten down,
11:05
by overwhelming forces.
11:07
He just simply saw himself in them.
11:10
And to stop the pain he went through as a child,
11:12
and even others have gone through,
11:14
he wanted to unite the world,
11:16
in the simplest way possible.
11:18
Which was through the ultimate evil,
11:21
and fear.
11:22
He would basically sacrifice himself,
11:24
on the altar of fear and hatred,
11:26
to bring peace to the world.
11:28
But he ran into the ultimate wall,
11:31
that is Saitama,
11:32
who dressed him down.
11:34
Showing him,
11:35
and everyone else there,
11:37
that Garo was never,
11:38
a true monster.
11:40
At his core,
11:41
he was still human,
11:42
because he still wanted to save and help people,
11:45
as his core belief.
11:47
And even from his inner dialogue,
11:49
he never wanted to kill anyone,
11:50
even Saitama.
11:52
He just wanted to knock him down,
11:54
since he was in the way,
11:55
of his dream.
11:57
And even if he did want him to truly die,
11:59
he would have believed,
12:01
he was killing him,
12:02
for the greater good of humanity.
12:04
And once he got broken down,
12:06
by Saitama,
12:07
seeing that his dream,
12:08
could never come true,
12:10
he felt like he had nothing else to live for,
12:13
and just welcomed the other heroes,
12:15
coming to kill him.
12:16
But,
12:17
a spark was lit in him,
12:19
once he saw Tario come back,
12:21
trying to stop the others,
12:22
from killing him,
12:24
and was thankful for him,
12:25
because he saved him.
12:27
And in that moment,
12:28
I think Garo had the idea,
12:30
that flashed in his head,
12:32
that to this kid,
12:34
he was a hero.
12:35
The way Saitama told him,
12:37
that he was always wanted,
12:39
to be a hero,
12:40
was something he rejected,
12:41
and did not want to come to terms with,
12:44
because,
12:44
that would have destroyed,
12:45
his whole ideology,
12:47
of being a monster.
12:49
Tario unknowingly,
12:50
gave him a new purpose in life.
12:52
We don't know,
12:53
what that purpose exactly is,
12:55
yet,
12:56
but,
12:56
I am happy,
12:57
he was able to leave,
12:58
and that we will see him,
13:00
later on in the story.
13:02
Oh,
13:03
and as a last thing,
13:04
I read this,
13:05
before Naruto ended,
13:07
and once I saw Sasuke,
13:08
came to the same conclusion,
13:10
Garo did,
13:11
I was metaphorically,
13:13
pointing at the scene,
13:14
saying,
13:15
one punch man,
13:16
did that first.
13:17
Whew,
13:18
man,
13:19
that was a lot to get through,
13:20
and I love going through it.
13:22
If you want to check out,
13:23
my past reviews,
13:24
you can go check them out,
13:26
they should be on the screen now.
13:28
I hope you all did enjoy,
13:30
and,
13:30
I would ask if you could please like the video,
13:33
and subscribe.
13:34
So,
13:34
I guess I am done here.
13:36
I hope to see you guys,
13:37
later.
13:38
Bye guys.
13:39
Bye guys.
