00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday morning weather update from the Met Office.
00:05We have high pressure influencing our weather but it has caused some stronger winds across
00:09more southern areas. Further north, still some showers drifting in from the North Sea
00:13across Scotland as well as northern England. They're fairly light but towards the west
00:18we're seeing clearer skies, a frost overnight and some fog patches. In fact the fog this
00:23morning is rather dense across Northern Ireland and again freezing fog in places where temperatures
00:28have dipped below freezing. Now across England and Wales we do have more of a breeze. This
00:33will be stronger towards the southeast where those showers will be more prolific. Generally
00:37speaking a few just drifting across the country. Generally speaking there will be some clearer
00:42skies but a chilly start to the day even further south that breeze mixing things up slightly.
00:47So let's have a look and see what's happening this morning. First of all here are those showers
00:51slow moving across the north. You can see the two heavier ones just about towards the southeast
00:57degrees. But for most it's a fine day with some sunshine. Through the middle part of the
01:01day the cloud could build but generally speaking we'll see some fine conditions through the afternoon.
01:06As we lose those showers across Scotland just one or two just lurking out there. Many areas
01:11dry and the showers continue across the southeastern quadrant of the country. Now temperatures will
01:17be around 11 to 12, 13 degrees Celsius so around average for this time of year. But certainly
01:21a fine day to be out and out with a light wind across say central and northern areas of Scotland
01:27where you'll see some sunshine. And we'll see some bright weather across Northern Ireland
01:31once that fog lifts through the morning. So through this evening we continue with the feed
01:37of those showers across East Anglia as well as the southeast. The winds pick up further as
01:42those showers just drift across the Midlands towards East Wales. Now the showers also could
01:47affect the south coast into the early hours of Wednesday morning. And here we'll have a fresh
01:51wind rather gusty in places. A chilly start to the day across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:57Again we could see a little bit of fog, certainly an odd patch of frost as well.
02:01Through the morning you can see where the brightest skies will be. Certainly where we see the centre
02:06of the high, a lighter breeze, sunny spells. Further south, yes a mix of clouds and sunshine.
02:12And again a few showers just drifting in from the North Sea, northern England, perhaps further south
02:17as well. Temperatures typically 9 to 12 degrees Celsius. But that breeze will be a feature
02:23of the weather through a Wednesday and a rather breezy day on Thursday. Even so we'll see some
02:28fine conditions after a chilly one with some sunshine coming through more particularly across more northern
02:33southern and central areas. Have a lovely day, bye bye.
