00:00Morning. The weather's chopping and changing an awful lot at the moment.

00:04This morning it's not as warm as it was yesterday morning and it's not as cold as it was a couple of mornings ago.

00:10We've got some gusty winds. Been a bit of a wild night in northern and western Scotland.

00:13Still very blustery here through the morning.

00:16Met off as yellow warning in place because those gusty winds of 60, 70, maybe even 75 miles an hour could cause some transport issues.

00:23Meanwhile we've got a band of showery rain slowly working across England and Wales.

00:28East angle in the southeast. Probably not seeing much rain at all until late on so generally a bright and breezy day here.

00:34The gusty winds in the north and west will ease a touch but notice they switch wind direction as well.

00:39It's going to bring colder air in. Should brighten up a touch for Wales and northern England by this afternoon

00:43but although we'll see some sunny spells there'll still be some showers to move through also.

00:49Temperature wise well lower than yesterday. A fresher feel for sure.

00:53We're looking at maybe still squeaking up to the teens across the southeast with a bit of brightness

00:58and most places much closer to average in the 7 to 10 Celsius bracket.

01:02But again feeling colder when the showers come along and because of the winds which although will be easing will still be quite gusty.

01:10They'll spread further heavy showers across northern England, northern Ireland into this evening.

01:14The showers turning a little wintry over the higher ground across Scotland.

01:17And then in the south we're looking at wet weather coming in.

01:21Some heavy pulses of rain through the night into parts of Wales and southern England accompanied by a strengthening wind along the south coast.

01:29That cloud and wind and rain will help to keep the temperatures up.

01:32Early in the night we could dip down into the low single figures and certainly will be lower than that.

01:36Across Scotland some pockets of frost likely here with the colder air in place.

01:40Now still a bit of uncertainty about the extent of this rain for tomorrow across England and Wales.

01:45It could be a little further north. It could be restricted further south.

01:48It's likely to be heavy where we do see it.

01:51And if it engages with the colder air across northern England and north Wales,

01:55well that could develop a bit of snow over the higher grounds.

01:58But certainly the rain is the biggest cause for concern at this stage.

02:02As I say still a bit of uncertainty.

02:04We'll be firming up on the details as we go through the day today.

02:07Scotland and Northern Ireland is a bit more straightforward tomorrow.

02:10The northerly wind will be easing but bringing a chilly feel.

02:13But it should bring quite a bit of sunshine.

02:15Just a few showers coming into the far north of Scotland with, yes, some winterness to those over high ground.

02:21Now by Sunday this developing area of low pressure will be out of the way.

02:26So Sunday, if anything, more straightforward than Saturday.

02:30We're going to start off with a frost across parts of northern England and Scotland.

02:34Many places dry and fine.

02:35Just a bit more cloud in parts of the west.

02:37Maybe the odd shower.

02:38Any early showers over eastern England should be clearing away.

02:41So Sunday for many.

02:43Dry and bright with some sunny spells and those winds continuing to ease down.

02:47But it will be on the chilly side.

02:48Single digits.

02:49And look behind me.

02:51There's more wet weather to come in for Monday.

02:53So as I said at the start, chopping and changing pretty regularly over the next few days.
