00:00The focus is really going to be West Texas.
00:03That's where the highest impact weather is going to be,
00:05which is why we're talking about the South Central.
00:07So let's zoom in and get into some of the details.
00:10The heaviest rainfall in this area in the darkest green.
00:13That's where we're most concerned about flash flooding,
00:14but anybody highlighted here be ready for those flooded roadways,
00:18for rising water levels and creeks, streams and rivers.
00:21But you know, the creeks and streams come first.
00:23Let's talk timing as we look at future radar.
00:26So we're going to see the moisture start to move in as we get to
00:29very early Thursday morning.
00:31Now, it's a double whammy of tropical moisture that's coming together
00:34to create these drenching downpours that you're going to start to see
00:37on future radar here.
00:38It's from Vance in the Pacific,
00:40which at this point will have really lost all tropical characteristics
00:44and organization, but it's combining with moisture from the Gulf
00:47and leading to the yellows, oranges and reds that you see on future radar here.
00:50Now we do get heavy rainfall in New Mexico too.
00:53And I mean, the ground is pretty soaked there from last weekend.
00:56So don't be surprised if you see some flash flooding here.
00:59But you can see the most widespread heavy downpours really are taking place in West Texas.
01:05And that's why that's the area that we're highlighting with so much concern.
01:09This will start to move north through the plains and head its way east into places like Mississippi
01:15by the time we get to Saturday.
01:17So really the Halloween concern area is a little bit different than the tomorrow concern area.
01:22Let's wrap this up with our rainfall totals two to four inches Lubbock, Abilene down through Del Rio.
01:27It's where we're most concerned and where we could get up to that accurate local storm,
01:31max 12 inches of rain.
01:32Yeah, that's going to cause problems.
01:34That's for sure.
01:35And that's what we're talking about.
01:36Not just a little bit of flash flooding, but a more severe situation.
01:40Quick look at Friday overall, you can see the rain starting to spread out in those thunderstorms.
01:45But by the time we get to Saturday, so Halloween and keep this in mind for trick or treat,
01:49it's places like Dallas, Austin, Houston over into Mississippi that are going to be the biggest concern.
01:54Bye.
