00:00One of the main reasons this is called nuisance flooding is that it happens in the worst possible places at
00:05the worst possible time.
00:07Now, the road behind me is Los Olos Boulevard.
00:10This is one of the main drags in Broward County.
00:12And what started today is one of the world's largest boat shows.
00:16Guess how they have to get to that boat show?
00:18Los Olos Boulevard over the bridge and to the beaches.
00:21But folks can't get there.
00:23The water is at least 18 inches.
00:25And a lot of folks are not happy.
00:27Some folks are taking it in stride, but we're talking about several hours for these king tides to go up
00:33and several hours for them to go down.
00:35And some of it is not leaving at all.
00:37It's two and a half, three feet deep, right?
00:40That's the first thing.
00:41And the problem is you can't see where you're walking, right?
00:43Because there's so much debris on top of the water and it's a nightmare.
00:46But once you stay on the foot past sidewalks, as you can see, there's no more cars moving right now
00:51because one car stalled out down the road.
00:53And he blocks the road, so nobody can get back.
00:55I'm not going to get around.
00:57It's really, really deep.
00:58As soon as you come down there, it's impossible.

01:08Now, officials have compared some of this flooding to some tropical events over the last several years.
01:14They are expecting things to gradually improve as we get towards the weekend.
01:18But with a lot of foot traffic headed over to the beaches this weekend, a lot of cars trying to
01:23get to that boat show,
01:24it is going to be packing big-time patience for folks that are headed in and out of Fort Lauderdale
01:30over the next several days.
