00:00In this video I will show you how to set default browser in Windows 11. To get started from your
00:06desktop what you want to do is come down to your search box in the taskbar at the bottom and

00:11here you want to type settings and then open up your settings underneath best match. Now once you
00:17are in your settings what you want to do is come over to the menu on the left hand side
00:20and click
00:21onto apps and then you're going to see an option for default apps. Give that a click and that's
00:27going to take you to a screen like this. What you want to do now is come to this box
00:31here where it
00:32says set defaults for applications and then type the name of the browser that you want to set as a
00:38default browser. So I'm going to demonstrate this with Microsoft Edge but of course you can do this
00:43with things like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. So once you've done that all you want to do is
00:48click onto the app that you want to use as the default browser and once you've done that on the
00:52next screen you're going to see at the top the option to make this your default browser. So what
00:57you want to do is click onto set default you can see we got a tick and as you can
01:01see now everything
01:02is going to be set to Microsoft Edge. There might be a couple of things you need to change manually
01:06so if you want to change any of these file types just simply click onto the one for example .mhtml
01:13click onto your current app and what you can do is select your Microsoft Edge or whichever default
01:19from the list and then click set default at the bottom. So you just want to go through and do
01:23this
01:23and that's going to set your default browser and that's how to set default browser in Windows 11.
