00:00In this video, I will show you how to disable all antivirus on Windows 11.
00:06Now to get started, if you do use a third party antivirus,
00:09like for example, like something like AVG or Norton or McAfee,
00:13and what you want to do is use your search box in the task at the bottom,
00:16type the name of the antivirus that you want to disable,
00:20give it a click, and when that loads up, you'll be able to open the program
00:23and there should be a switch in there to turn off antivirus.
00:27Windows does have an inbuilt antivirus system as well.
00:30So to disable that, what you want to do is come to your search box.
00:34In here, you want to type Windows security,
00:37and then open up Windows security underneath best match.
00:40What that's going to do is open a screen like this.
00:42From here, you want to click onto virus and threat protection,
00:45and then from here, come down to virus and threat protection settings.
00:49Now on here, you're going to see a link to click to manage settings,
00:52give that a click, and that's going to take you to a screen like this.
00:56From here, you should see an option for real-time protection.
00:59What you want to do is actually turn this off,
01:01and that's going to go ahead and disable the antivirus.
01:05And there's also a defender firewall as well.
01:07So if you want to completely disable that,
01:09then what you want to do is close this down, come back down to your search box,
01:12and in here, you want to type defender firewall.
01:16Now underneath best match, you should see Windows defender firewall come up.
01:19Give that a click.
01:20That's going to open up a window like this.
01:22From here, if you look to the left, you're going to see an option to turn your Windows
01:26defender on or off.
01:27Give that a click.
01:28That's going to take you to this screen.
01:30And from here, what you want to do is select the options to turn off Windows
01:33defender firewall for both your private network and public network.
01:37Now, just a disclaimer that this does put your computer or laptop at risk.
01:41So just be careful if you do turn these off, as of course,
01:44if you do use the internet, it does keep you protected.
01:47But if for any reason you do need to disable the antivirus, maybe it's stopping you from
01:51downloading an app or program, then that's basically the steps to go through and disable
01:55all antivirus on Windows 11.
