00:00We do have a severe weather threat as we continue through the night and into our Wednesday morning.
00:05So Kansas City down through Wichita where the most numerous severe storms are expected to set up.
00:10We are seeing damaging wind as the biggest threat here, but could see some hail and can't rule out nicely
00:15a tornado or two.
00:17Flash flooding, a big concern though, not just for our Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, but through the day and even
00:23until Thursday night is the timeline for this rainfall map.
00:26There is we're most concerned about the four to eight here going from West Texas all the way up through
00:32Oklahoma City and then even up into Missouri.
00:34That's where we could see localized totals closer to accurate local storm acts, 14 inches of rain.
00:39Let's take a look on future radar, give you an idea of how all of this plays out because we
00:43have multiple rounds of severe weather the next couple of days and multiple rounds of downpours, which leads to that
00:47flash flood threat.
00:48Now, it's a mixture of moisture coming from Simon, the tropical system really impacting Mexico, leading to flooding there and
00:56other impacts.
00:57But we also get a surge of Gulf moisture meeting up with this and leading to the downpours that we're
01:02seeing on future radar.
01:03So starting out a messy morning commute, then we head to the afternoon.
01:07We start to see some of those signs that we look for with thunderstorms that could lead to more severe
01:11weather.
01:11I'll show you the area we're concerned about here in a second.
01:13But more downpours, more rounds of rain, and we start to see things shift north.
01:18By the time we get to Thursday, it's more of a Midwest problem, even up towards Chicago as far as
01:23our severe weather and really more into the Ohio Valley.
01:27But you can see downpours across the board here as things start to shift to the east.
01:31West Texas never really gets a break, though, from the rain and thunderstorms the next few days.
01:36So Wednesday, we shrink our area a little bit.
01:39Wichita down to West Texas, damaging wind, flooding downpours, the main concerns here.
01:44And then we go ahead to Thursday and we shift our way to the north and we get into the
01:49Ohio Valley here.
