00:05no season goes faster than an NFL season it is already week five Giants getting ready to play

00:16go over some of the keys to the game as I see them number one I think the Giants need

00:22the ball better it's as simple as that last week Najee Harris had the longest run for the Giants
00:27nine yards Cam Skadaboo his longest run eight yards it just really is not good enough at this
00:33point they don't have that game breaker that's just the way it is but they're going to need to
00:37run the ball better it could be very sloppy conditions what is it Hurricane Isaias I guess
00:43is coming up through the Gulf and it's going to not hit like a hurricane in the Washington DC area
00:49but there is a 100% chance of rain so the Giants are going to need to run the ball
00:55on that grass field
00:56at Northwest Stadium they just need to do it last week 28 carries 87 yards average of 3.1 yards

01:11Cam Skadaboo runs as hard as anybody but he has not been a game breaker I think the key Tyrone

01:18needs to get more involved Tyrone Tracy had a 55 yard punt return in the game that shows that he

01:25some juice he is the guy who can take it for longer distances the problem with Tyrone Tracy is the
01:31coaches just don't trust him right now he had a bad summer fumbled did some things that were not
01:38conducive to him getting on the field and then early in the season he lost the ball on a fumble
01:43and so that put him back in the pecking order so he has to slowly regain the trust of the
01:48coaches
01:49by holding on to the ball and I think at some point this Giants offense will need Tyrone Tracy
01:55maybe it's this week because they need someone to turn three four five yard carries into 15 20 yard
02:02carries especially this week of commanders don't have a great defense Giants need to run the ball
02:07number two Jaden Daniels he is back right he started the first two games for the commanders
02:13and then dislocated his left elbow his non-throwing elbow he missed a couple of games the commanders
02:20were 0-2 with Jaden Daniels on the field so far this season but he is a difference maker no
02:25Marcus
02:26Mariota the Giants don't get a break there they get Jaden Daniels coming back I'm sure he'll be ready
02:31to play I'm sure he'll have some kind of a brace or protection for that left dislocated elbow that is
02:38healed you know the Giants are not going to necessarily attack it but it'll be interesting to see if the
02:42commanders let Jaden Daniels run the way he's accustomed to he is a giant killer he is three
02:49and 0 against the Giants 70 percent completions three touchdowns no interceptions and oh by the
02:56way he's run for 147 yards the key to him is to as far as stopping him keep him in
03:02the pocket when he
03:03gets outside the pocket there is really no more dangerous quarterback in the league and that includes
03:09Lamar Jackson the edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeau and Abdul Carter need to set the edge and not
03:16rush so aggressively that Jaden Daniels can get outside of them you need to keep him confined in
03:22the pocket keep him in front of you let guys like Arvel Reese and Tremaine Edmonds two terrific inside
03:28linebackers and great tacklers let them get their hands on Jaden Daniels because if you start sliding
03:34this way sliding that way he is very elusive he's skinny he makes himself skinny that's what some
03:40players say he's just hard to hit he's hard to get he is a very good quarterback when healthy he
03:46is back
03:46healthy now so and he has beaten the Giants every time he's played them so it is imperative to make
03:53him a pocket passer Denard Wilson did a great job last week going after Cardinals quarterback Jacoby
04:00Brissett Jacoby Brissett is pretty much a sitting duck in the pocket that is not Jaden Daniels you
04:06have to have a different rush scheme against him they can do it it's just a matter of getting it

04:11so one of the my second key is dealing with Jaden Daniels don't let him wreck the game because he's
04:18capable of doing that and then my third key to the game is Jameis Winston the Jameis Winston experience
04:24right as I mentioned the weather is going to be bad I mean what did Jameis do to uh to
04:28deserve this
04:29right in his first start he's in a nor'easter in MetLife Stadium and the Giants kick four field
04:35goals by rookie Dominic Zavada they don't score a touchdown they beat the Titans 12-7 12 points isn't
04:41cutting it in this game I can tell you that much so Jameis we saw the whole gambit from him
04:47last week
04:48three touchdown passes terrific two interceptions not good not good that's not the kind of ratio the
04:54Giants want um the touchdown passes to Theo Johnson and Malik Nabors were excellent throws really really
05:00terrific throws pinpoint throws that had to be on the money against decent coverage uh Jameis showed
05:06something that he doesn't often show he rolled out of the pocket made a play and then flipped the ball
05:12to rookie Malachi Fields for a touchdown that was terrific but it was a really really slow start for
05:18Jameis a really slow start so they have to avoid that slow start look the commanders are not a great
05:24defense they've allowed a bunch of points so far this season um and uh let's see 37 points to the
05:31Cowboys 31 to the Seahawks in a game they won 33 31 with Marcus Mariota and 30 points to the
05:38Colts so
05:38this is a defense that you can score points against but as I mentioned it's going to be bad weather
05:44Jameis has to not play scared but he looks hesitant at times to unload that ball and cut it
05:50loose he has to be able to cut it loose um Malik Nabors had a great first half last week
05:55and um he
05:56was very vocal very emotional about wanting to dominate and get more touches in the second half
06:02he only had one catch in the second half after five in the first half so that is something to
06:07watch
06:08you have to force feed Malik Nabors but you can't be so obvious with where you're going with the
06:13ball that the commanders know it's coming now the commanders have some big injury problems uh that
06:18you know Stefan Diggs has a hamstring issue he has not practiced this week Terry McLaurin has a
06:23hamstring issue he has not practiced this week so that is Jaden Daniels two top weapons they might not
06:30play the Giants and um they've spoken about that this week Greg Newsome the second the cornerback who's
06:37new to the scene talked about it that we don't feel respected they were underdogs last week at home
06:42that was kind of crazy this week they are three and a half point underdogs to the commanders now as
06:48I said the Giants are three and one and the commanders are one in three what does that tell
06:52you that tells you either people want you to bet on money on the Giants or that the Giants are

07:00tough spot here and they're ripe for an upset maybe they are maybe they aren't I think if Jameis
07:05Winston holds on to the ball if they run the ball as I said and they can just keep Jaden

07:10control the Giants have no excuses not to win this game
