00:00All right, guys, Big Blue Giants pick up their 11th loss of the season, 33-15 primetime loss
00:07to the New England Patriots. Brandon London here alongside with Jerry Schwartz.
00:14Jerry, my voice, gone after this one. A lot of yelling. Not enough water to watch this one.
00:23And multiple storylines after this game. We got Abdul Carter being benched again for the start of the game.
00:33Jackson Dart not looking like he's protecting himself. The defense gives up X amount of hundreds of yards.
00:43I don't even know where to start with this one, man. Was with a lot of Giants fans on this one.
00:50A lot of people frustrated. I guess we'll start with you because we haven't seen the Giants
00:56just completely be dominated on all sides of the football this season until now.
01:04I don't know what game you were watching, but I thought they took a big step forward.
01:08I'm just kidding.
01:11You know, we haven't done this together in a couple of weeks now.
01:14I think the last time you and me were on this post-game show together, it was after the Broncos game.
01:20And like you said, most games, it's not all four-quarters domination.
01:25Most games, most of these losses have been a fourth-quarter collapse.
01:28That's why we saw Shane Bowen get fired this week.
01:31This one on prime time for everybody to see was a humiliation in all facets.
01:37It was on special teams. It was on offense. It was on defense.
01:40It was in coaching. It was in all facets of the game.
01:43And it starts right away. Abdul-Khari, your number three pick, who has already been benched for a series this year,
01:50is now benched for the first quarter for reportedly being late for a team meeting.
01:55And, you know, strike one, you learn your lesson. Strike two, you still don't learn your lesson.
02:00That's a problem. He's a number three pick.
02:02He obviously didn't learn his lesson after the first strike.
02:04Like, now it's the second strike, and now we see this is a recurring problem.
02:09That's not good.
02:11Jackson Dart, his first game back from a concussion.
02:14First drive, he does not have a pass. The play is not there.
02:19He holds on to it and takes a big hit. His teammates stand up for him, but it's a legal hit.
02:23Then, a few plays later, he's running on the sideline. He's got the yards. Just run out of bounds.
02:29You know, show that you've learned your lesson. He doesn't. He stays in bounds. He takes a huge hit, but it's a legal hit.
02:37You know, you don't mind his teammates standing up for him, but it's a legal hit.
02:41So, instead of a positive rushing play, it turns into a 15-yard penalty on Theo Johnson, and they punt.
02:47And that's such a good encapsulation of everything that this team is.
02:50It's that what could have been a good play by Jackson Dart turns into a 15-yard loss and a punt.
02:56You know, Jackson Dart, you're too important to this team. You're too important to the future.
03:01It almost seemed like he's trying to prove something to everybody, that he was out for two weeks, that he's trying to prove that he's tough.
03:07Like, we know you're tough. We get it, but protect yourself.
03:10Like, you don't have to prove anything. You have to prove anything to the fans.
03:12You know, we know you're tough. Take your future into account here.
03:16And one thing that stood out to me is there's a lot of bad teams in this league.
03:21You know, there's a lot of bad teams with one win, or, you know, the Titans have one win.
03:24There's a couple teams with two wins.
03:26The Giants are the punchline right now.
03:28I mean, the Jets have three wins. The Jets are trending up.
03:30The Jets have a new coach. They've won a couple games in a row.
03:33The vibes are better in Florham Park than they are at, you know, in East Rutherford right now.
03:39The Giants are the punchline for the league.
03:41You know, that young way coup, pump fake, whatever you want to call it, it's a meme.
03:47You know, every game they play now is a meme.
03:50And, you know, most weeks they play a 1 o'clock game on Sunday, and the whole world doesn't have to see it.
03:54They kind of, you know, slide into the background, and maybe we see their collapse, and we talk about it,
03:59but the whole world isn't watching.
04:01They play on primetime. Everybody gets to see it.
04:03There's only one game on. Everybody gets to see it.
04:06Young way coup lines up for a kick like every other team does, like every other kick does.
04:10And, you know, I was talking to my roommates before.
04:13A kicker, you do one thing. You kick it.
04:16Like the snap goes.
04:18You got one job to do.
04:20The snap goes, the holder holds it, and then you kick it.
04:23Like there's one part of that motion. You kick it.
04:26And he didn't kick it.
04:27You know, it's almost – it's comical.
04:29And, you know, we can laugh about it now, but, you know, once again,
04:34they became the laughingstock of the league.
04:36They're the punchline. They're the butt of jokes.
04:38And, you know, 2-11, it's just about watching Jackson Dart.
04:43But it's – on games like today, it's not even – you know,
04:46there's not even much to watch with Jackson Dart.
04:48And it's one of those things, Jarrett, you know,
04:51because in the offices, on our video team,
04:57everyone always calls me the Giants homer.
05:00You know, I'm the in-game emcee.
05:02I'm the one that hypes the crowd up.
05:04I'm the international fan ambassador.
05:07I'm always going back and forth.
05:08And I've told you this before.
05:09I'm always going back and forth with people like,
05:12nah, man, this ain't a three-two-win team.
05:14This team's a lot better than what it is.
05:16Nah, this guy, this player is a lot better than what you're saying he is.
05:21But on national TV just now, primetime football,
05:29I had no choice but to shut the F up.
05:34Every Giants fan had no choice but to shut the F up.
05:39Because what I saw – and the thing that was most frustrating to me –
05:43all right, is there talent missing in certain places?
05:49Could the team be better here, there?
05:52I've never seen this team get so out-physicaled before in my life.
05:57Yeah.
05:57It's almost like, you know, I joke around with your dad sometimes,
06:01you know, about me being a new father.
06:03I've got a two-and-a-half-year-old.
06:09And it's almost like you're watching this team as a concerned parent.
06:15Get away from those kids over there.
06:17They're playing too rough.
06:19That's what I saw today.
06:21And I've never seen that from this team before.
06:24And you were talking about, oh, this team is the punchline right now.
06:27I thought rock bottom was when we saw Jake Fromm doing the QB sneak.
06:34Yeah.
06:35What was that?
06:35Was it Joe Judge or Pat Schirmer?
06:37The end of Joe Judge's tenure, yeah.
06:39The end of Joe Judge's tenure.
06:41We saw him doing a QB sneak from their one-yard line, from their own goal line.
06:47That today was rock bottom.
06:51Yeah.
06:52Because I've – you –
06:54that stuff – that wouldn't stand in that 2007 locker room, that effort.
07:02I could get a call for this.
07:04People are going to – don't pile on.
07:06Not piling on anything.
07:08Just reporting what I saw from someone who has been a part of the glory years.
07:14Someone who has been ride or die and will always be ride or die for this team.
07:18But what I saw today, I'm not going to say they gave up or anything like that.
07:23Because Mike Kafka, that coaching staff, I know they put everything into that game plan.
07:31But what I saw was a team get out-physical, out-smarted, out-tuffed.
07:37Because the dude that hit Jackson Dart on the sideline, that Theo Johnson –
07:42obviously, you're going to stick up for your boy.
07:44You're going to stick up for your quarterback.
07:45He's the one that knocked Gunnar Osheski out of the game.
07:49Yep.
07:49Yep.
07:50He was on a heat-seeking missile with legal hits.
07:56When you see stuff like that, a team that is out-physicaling you in between the whistles,
08:03not even anything dirty, you got nothing to do but to sit there and be like,
08:08Apollo Creed, stop the fight.
08:10Stop the fight.
08:11I've never seen this team get out-physical like that.
08:14I mean, that's the thing.
08:15It was nice to see Theo Johnson and then stand up for Dart.
08:18And it was nice to see the on-line men on the first play.
08:21But they were legal hits.
08:23They weren't dirty.
08:25There were no flag calls.
08:26So how about standing up for him on the field?
08:28How about standing up for him when the play is actually happening
08:31and getting open for him or blocking for him?
08:34Or catching the football.
08:35Or catching the football.
08:36Or making plays like that on the defensive end.
08:39You know, sure, it's easy to shove a guy after he's already hit your quarterback.
08:44You know, it's easy to shove a guy after the play because of what you think is a dirty hit,
08:47which ended up being illegal.
08:49Like, how about doing it beforehand?
08:51How about being the one that they want to shove because they think you're being too aggressive?
08:55And I made a good point.
08:56Like, when you were on the team in 07, you know, stuff like this wouldn't fly.
09:01A great example of that is Abdul Carter, right?
09:03Like, he was disciplined once.
09:06He had a sack today.
09:07So now he's up to 1.5 sacks on the year.
09:09He's had two disciplines.
09:10So he's been disciplined twice.
09:12He has one and a half sacks.
09:13So he's been disciplined more than he's sacked the quarterback this year.
09:18Think about your team, right?
09:19If a top, you know, a top three pick, you know, a top rookie is showing up late to meetings.
09:26You got Justin, you know, just in the defensive line room.
09:28You got Justin Tuck, O.C., Strahan.
09:31You know, you got guys who are going to set him right.
09:34Who is in the room right now that's going to set Abdul Carter right?
09:37You know, why is nobody taking him under his wing, taking him under their wing and said,
09:41Rook, it's not going to fly in the NFL.
09:43You know, you're a top pick.
09:44You were great in college.
09:45That's not going to fly in the NFL.
09:46You're not lining up the sack numbers like Miles Garrett.
09:50You know, you're not producing like Brian Burns.
09:53You know, you have to show up to work on time.
09:55You know, you have to act like a leader of this team.
10:00You're the number three pick.
10:01You know, who's – that's what's troubling to me is that he's been disciplined once.
10:06Where are the leaders that will tell him this doesn't fly?
10:10You know, you know, Brian Burns has had a terrific year.
10:14I saw at halftime he was kind of on the bench.
10:17You know, guys were going back to halftime.
10:18He kind of stayed back for a second and was on the bench.
10:20And you got to feel for him.
10:21Can he take Abdul Carter under his wing and say, Abdul, this is not going to fly?
10:27You know, Kayvon is hurt.
10:28But can he do that?
10:28Can Dexter do that?
10:30You can, Jared, but it shouldn't be on Brian Burns.
10:35Yeah.
10:35It comes from above.
10:37One thing I love about Tom Coughlin, and I miss, you know,
10:40when it comes to the coaching style of Tom Coughlin,
10:43and I got him – my rookie year was towards his – what they call his softer sides.
10:49He set the law.
10:51He set the law.
10:53The Strahans, the Justin Tucks, the OCs, the Eli Mannings, Armani Toomers,
11:01all they were were sheriffs.
11:03They enforced the law.
11:06So it's great that Mike Kafka has come in and benched him twice.
11:11I love seeing it because that shows management, that shows ownership, fan base,
11:18and we're not standing for this.
11:20But it's too late.
11:22Yeah.
11:23If he's benching him now, just imagine what he was doing earlier.
11:28And I don't know.
11:30That's just me.
11:31That's – if you're getting benched now, that means you were doing something –
11:35you got away with it one too many times before.
11:39But it goes back and it goes to – Brian Burns can try and speak to this –
11:46to him, to any player, to your blue in the face.
11:50But when you're losing and you start to get into that losing culture in the locker room,
11:57I don't want to hear from you.
11:59Or if I'm Brian Burns, I don't want to keep talking.
12:05Yeah.
12:06There's nothing else to say.
12:09There's no more – you know how people are like, oh, maybe this team needs to get it together
12:13or maybe this team needs to do this.
12:17Because at 11 losses on a season, heck, at eight losses on a season, you've talked enough.
12:29So four games left, five games left.
12:32Going into the bye week, there's one thing.
12:36If you think Capco's going to give you that couple days off going into that bye week, no.
12:41No, you're going to practice and we're going to go out there and, yeah, we may not get it right.
12:47You can lose every game after this.
12:49I don't care.
12:50I'm not allowing you to go to Florida, Miami.
12:53I'm not allowing you to go to Vegas.
12:55I'm not allowing you to go to these places when you just gave me that effort.
13:00Every player in that locker room should be upset right now.
13:03You know, we were talking – you know, you talked about the talent.
13:05Like maybe the talent is lacking, you know, in certain areas.
13:08They don't have that many injuries right now.
13:11Like obviously Neighbors is a terrific player and he's out.
13:14And Scadaboo was, you know, an exciting, energizer kind of player.
13:17But every team has, you know, a couple injuries like that.
13:21And then you think about today, Jackson Dart is back.
13:24The O-line is pretty much healthy.
13:26You got Slayton back.
13:27You know, you got Slayton, Wandale as your top two receivers.
13:31Your tight ends are healthy.
13:33You know, Tracy was healthy before he got hurt.
13:35Adebo was back in the secondary.
13:36Your D-line, I guess you're missing Kayvon.
13:40But you got Carter, Burns, Dex.
13:42They're all healthy.
13:43You know, the linebackers are healthy.
13:44Holland was playing.
13:46Adebo was playing.
13:46Flott was playing.
13:47You know, there's not – like their injuries are not, you know,
13:51at the disaster level right now.
13:53Like they're very average in terms of their injuries across the board.
13:56And they look like they didn't belong on the field with the Patriots.
13:59And I get it.
13:59The Patriots are one of the best teams in the league this year.
14:02But last year the Patriots had, what, three wins?
14:05Like they haven't been some bubbling dynasty for a couple years now.
14:09And the Giants looked like they didn't belong on the same field.
14:12So, you know, that's concerning because, yeah, there's a couple injuries.
14:16But it's not anything more than what most teams deal with.
14:19And, you know, Adebo got torched on, I think, the touchdown on the right end –
14:24in the right side of the end zone over the top.
14:26You know, he just got torched.
14:27Yeah.
14:29You know, where is – you know, there's not much pressure on the quarterback.
14:36You know, they can't – the Patriots came into the game, I think,
14:41last in the league in yards per attempt.
14:43But today they averaged, you know, over four yards a carry.
14:47I think they came in under four.
14:49You know, the rush defense is pretty much healthy.
14:51The Dex is healthy.
14:52You know, Roy Robertson-Harris is healthy.
14:56You know, what gives?
14:58You know, it's like it's – his team is not that injured.
15:02And they didn't – they acted like they didn't belong on the same field.
15:06And, you know, Joe Shane talks tomorrow.
15:10You know, he'll give his bye week, you know, a press conference.
15:14And, you know, there's a lot of questions, you know, about this roster.
15:17You know, is this roster good enough?
15:18Has this – has he assembled a roster that's capable of competing?
15:24You know, all these big investments, where are they the right investments?
15:27And, you know, I'm not here to answer those questions, but, you know,
15:33I just think, like, they had a lot of their main guys on the field today.
15:37And there were a lot of duds.
15:40Yeah, I wonder what that immediate availability is going to be like
15:43with Joe Shane tomorrow.
15:45Like, I can just think of what it was like after that loss
15:49to the Carolina Panthers in Germany last year going into that bye week.
15:54And he had a lot to answer for.
15:57And after saying, like, oh, this roster was one quarterback away and, you know –
16:05Then he spent a lot of money on defense this past offseason.
16:09Yeah.
16:09A lot of money on defense.
16:10And a lot of – you know, he signed Adiba.
16:13He signed Holland.
16:14He drafted Carter.
16:16They were all healthy.
16:16They all played today.
16:17Not much impact.
16:18But, you know, there was a lot of investment this offseason.
16:22And the results right now are worse.
16:25Yeah, I would like Joe – you know, I would like Joe to get extremely real tomorrow.
16:33I don't know if he throws anyone under the bus.
16:35I don't know if he throws a player under the bus or not.
16:37But I would like him to get really real.
16:39Joe Shane was on the scouting team that brought me down to the Dolphins.
16:44So I got a relationship with Joe Shane.
16:45I mean, I see him on the field.
16:47I see him, you know, in the cafeteria, always kind of chop it up, talk with him for a bit.
16:52I respect the guy.
16:53Love the guy.
16:54Like, you know, really good dude.
16:56Really brilliant mind, I feel like.
16:58I want him to get real tomorrow, man, because I root for Joe Shane.
17:02And, you know, a lot of the fans, a lot of my – the fans that are friends to me,
17:07they give me some stuff, you know, because obviously you can read the comments right now.
17:11A lot of people want them – a lot of people want them to clean house.
17:16From the top down to the bottom.
17:18I don't think that happens.
17:20But I'm a guy that roots for Joe Shane.
17:23So I would like him to be real tomorrow because everybody – everybody in these comments,
17:28me, you, we all thought we were going to get a different product this year.
17:33From the spring to the summer to training camp to preseason, we all got bamboozled by a used car salesman
17:42who just sold us a 2007 Mercedes, shiny, really pretty.
17:50The transmission is terrible.
17:52The engine is horrible.
17:54What's up with the brakes, Jared?
17:57You know what I'm saying?
17:58Like, we've all been bamboozled or hoodwinked or whatever it's called.
18:02So I would like Joe Shane to be extremely honest with what he has to say about this roster,
18:10this team right now, and why they're 2-11.
18:13Because I have nothing.
18:15The fan base has nothing.
18:17And it's just pure frustration.
18:19There's no logic.
18:20It's just pure frustration.
18:22And you can go on anybody's social media right now, anybody else that's doing a live stream,
18:27and it's just rah, rah, rah because no one else has any sort of logic as to why this team is playing the way they are
18:37and they're getting the results that they're getting.
18:39And the thing with this roster, you know, is it the roster or is it the coaching?
18:42Like, there's nobody else to put the blame on right now than the roster.
18:47You know, you could say it was coaching.
18:48Brian Dable's out.
18:49You could say, oh, well, they kept blowing all these leads in the fourth quarter, you know,
18:53because Shane Bowen couldn't, you know, come to the right call.
18:55Shane Bowen's out.
18:56You know, like, you want to fire, you know, Gobriel, the special teams corner.
19:00I mean, the special teams wasn't good today.
19:01But, you know, go ahead if you really want to.
19:03But, like, it's not going to make a difference.
19:05You know, you've really taken away anybody else to throw under the bus.
19:10And it's the, you know, all eyes are on the roster right now.
19:13What is this roster?
19:14Is this, you know, a competent roster?
19:16Can they compete?
19:16You know, the one hope is the Patriots today and the Bears, you know, two of the league's best teams.
19:24I think they're the number one seed in both conference, in both, you know, in the NFC and the AFC.
19:29Yep.
19:29So, you know, kept their GM, fired their coach, had a rookie, a promising rookie quarterback who had a bad record and had struggles.
19:38Hired a new coach, huge leap, you know, in year two with the rookie quarterback.
19:43You know, the Bears, Caleb Williams was promising, but raw and flawed.
19:48They fired Eberflus, hired Ben Johnson, and just took off, you know, in Caleb Williams year two.
19:55Drake May as a rookie, promising, but didn't win many games.
19:58You know, I was looking the other day.
20:00Jackson Dart, before today, Jackson Dart was better in almost every stat than Drake May was ever.
20:06You know, so, like, when you say you can't compare Dart to May, like, obviously not right now.
20:11May is an MVP candidate.
20:12But at this point last year, we were talking about May in almost the same exact, you know, manner as we were Jackson Dart.
20:18A promising rookie, a first-round pick, obviously, you know, the signs are there that he can be good, but doesn't win, and his head coach gets fired.
20:26They bring in Vrabel.
20:28He's a defensive guy, so, you know, the offensive coordinator is important.
20:32He brings in Josh McDaniels, a terrific offensive coordinator.
20:35Year two of Drake May, they take off.
20:37So, you know, that is the hope that Joe Shane, you know, has done enough that, you know, that he believes in his roster.
20:44He can make – he can get the head coach right, you know, either an offensive-minded coach or a culture-changing defensive guy with a great offensive coordinator.
20:53And in year two of Jackson, Dart takes off.
20:56It's a hope.
20:57You know, and right now it's just a hope.
20:59But that's all you have right now.
21:00It's the hope, but it's also a frustration as well because, again, there's no logic because what we have is two of the opposites.
21:09You have, like you said, Ben Johnson, new, young, hot.
21:12Never been a head coach.
21:14Never been a head coach.
21:16We see how he is or was with the sideline reporter, you know, in that mix-up.
21:22So, imagine how he is when a guy isn't –
21:24He's not exactly charismatic, yeah.
21:26Yeah, not charismatic at all.
21:28So, imagine how he is, though, when you're messing up a championship-like detail within his offense.
21:35You know, he comes from that Dan Campbell tree.
21:37So, you either got to go and get it right with the first-year head coach with an attitude and an offense like a Ben Johnson, or you go to the old vet who's had success in this league before, who just needed a change of scenery and to bring in, you know, his guys, guys that understands, you know, the Patriot way.
22:03So, it would be the giant way, a guy who understands.
22:06So, that makes it even harder for us to be like, okay, this is the candidate.
22:11John Gruden, Mike Tomlin, if he becomes available somehow.
22:15Like, you know, McCarthy or the Rams OC, Shula, Chris Shula.
22:23There are so many guys out there now that we can't – no one can pinpoint who could be that guy to come in and fix this mess.
22:32Like, I just – I don't understand this, bro.
22:36And, like, you say there's no rhyme or reason, right?
22:40At this point, four years ago, like, last year Ben Johnson was the hot offensive coordinator, right?
22:45You know, he was – he had a great offense in Detroit.
22:49Teams were circling him.
22:50He was the offensive mind.
22:51Four years ago, Brian Dayball was the hot offensive mind that everybody wanted, that he was, you know, the flavor of the month.
23:00You know, he was the guy that – you know, he developed Josh Allen.
23:03He's going to be head coach.
23:04And people like – you know, the Giants didn't settle for him.
23:07Like, they got Brian Dayball.
23:09And year one, he wins coach of the year, right?
23:11Like, year one, he's not that different than Ben Johnson.
23:14And, you know, he wins a playoff game.
23:15We'll see if Ben Johnson wins a playoff game, right?
23:18Like, and after year one, it seems like, okay, the Giants got their guy.
23:22Like, they have their GM.
23:23They have their coach.
23:24Let's go into the future with these two guys.
23:26And look where we are now.
23:27You know, it's – there's no rhyme or reason.
23:29It's such a crapshoot that, like – like, Dayball was the flavor of the month.
23:35And, you know, I think my dad wrote a story about – today about the, you know, the coaching search.
23:40That class, like, Dayball was, like, the second longest tenured in that coaching class.
23:45Like, so many guys got fired.
23:47There was – I forget some of the names.
23:50Like, Lovie Smith was in that.
23:51Like, I haven't even thought of him in, like, two years.
23:53Like, there were some guys in that coaching class that just – you don't even think of, and they're already gone.
23:59So, like, these coaches come and go, and there's way more misses than hits.
24:03And sometimes guys who were originally misses become hits.
24:08You know, Todd Bowles with the Jets was memed here, and now he's a good coach with the Buccaneers.
24:13Like, some of these guys get their second chances, and they're really good.
24:17So, it's, like, who knows if Chris Shula is a great coach?
24:20He has a great defense.
24:21Like, who knows if Clint Kubiak is going to be a great coach?
24:24He has a great offense.
24:25Who knows if Jeff Halfley is going to be a great coach?
24:27He's got a great defense with the Packers.
24:29Like, who knows if Mike McCarthy will be good on his third team?
24:33Like, he had a good run with the Packers.
24:35He got stale.
24:36It wasn't great with the Cowboys.
24:37Like, who knows?
24:38Like, what does John Gruden have left?
24:40Like, he's working for Barstool right now.
24:42Like, maybe he could come in and be great, but he's closer to the podcasting, Mike, right now than he is the film room.
24:49Like, you know, it's just, like, there's no slam dunk hire right now.
24:54There rarely is a slam dunk.
24:55You know, Mike Rabel to the Patriots was a slam dunk.
24:58He played for the Patriots.
24:59He was a highly regarded, you know, available coach.
25:02That felt like a slam dunk.
25:04But there's very few cases of it being a slam dunk, especially this year.
25:09Like, who knows if Lou Anarumo will be a good coach?
25:11You know, he has a good defense.
25:14Spags, great coordinator, had one bad tenure as a head coach.
25:19But a lot of guys have a lot of – I mean, Bill Belichick had a bad first tenure with the Browns.
25:24The Browns, yeah.
25:24You know what I mean?
25:25Brian Flores.
25:26Brian Flores is another name.
25:28Yeah.
25:28Like, it's – there's guys who have bad tenures.
25:32There's guys who are – like, it's – I don't have a strong opinion on any of these coordinators.
25:37None.
25:37I don't have – I don't even have a strong opinion.
25:40Like, you have to go with someone experienced who's been a head coach before because why?
25:44Like, I don't – like, Pat Shermer was a head coach before.
25:47He was the adult in the room, and that didn't work out.
25:50You know, like, McAdoo was a first-timer, and they thought he was an experienced.
25:53Then they went for the adult in the room, and Pat Shermer, who had experience.
25:56That didn't work out.
25:57Then they went for the charismatic Joe Judge, who hadn't been a head coach before,
26:01but was energy and blue-collar and spoke really well, and it sounded good for a year,
26:06and then it didn't work.
26:07And then they went for the offensive guru, you know, who developed Josh Allen.
26:10It was great for a year, and then his leadership, you know, fizzled out.
26:14So, like, they've tried all these – all the different, you know, archetypes of a coach.
26:19They've tried the experienced guy.
26:20They've tried the charismatic young guy.
26:22They've tried the offensive guru, and now we're back at square run.
26:26So, you know, I don't have a strong opinion on what it needs to be,
26:28but, boy, like, do they need to get it right.
26:30Yeah, I mean, yeah, they have to, man.
26:33Like, you absolutely have to, and I just – I don't know what to expect anymore, man,
26:39in these games.
26:40Again, the thing that we all kept hope for, and I know we're media.
26:46We're supposed to be impartial, but we still want this team to win.
26:50Everybody eats when this team is doing well.
26:53Yeah.
26:53And the numbers, our numbers still do well, you know, on the media side of things
26:58when you're competitive as well.
27:02We didn't even see that.
27:04So, I don't – how do you take that step back?
27:07How do you go from around 900 yards of total offense the last two games
27:14to, like, Enzo the picker just put up, dart, 139 yards, LOL.
27:21So, especially when everyone was talking about the Patriots with the soft schedule.
27:26They weren't even that good.
27:28People were calling this a trap game.
27:30How do you take that step back?
27:32It's a lot of questions that need to be answered.
27:34Go ahead.
27:35Wrap us up because, you know.
27:37You talked about, you know, it's better for everybody when the team is good.
27:40You know, media and, you know, fans alike.
27:42Like, I've been doing a lot of Knicks this year.
27:44Like, I've, you know, I've been doing most home games.
27:47I think they're 8-0 now in games that I've covered.
27:51So, like – and sometimes, you know, I'm critical of them.
27:56Like, you know, because they're supposed to be a team with championship expectations, right?
27:59And, like, sometimes it feels like two different worlds when I come back to the Giants.
28:03Like, the Knicks will drop one out of, you know, four games.
28:06And, you know, I'm critical of their defense.
28:08And even in wins, I say, well, the three-point defense wasn't that great.
28:11Or Kat wasn't, you know, that good.
28:14And it's like, well, they win double the amount of games that they lose.
28:18And it's – when you have a competent team to cover, it's a whole different perspective.
28:23Then you come back to this, and it's like everything that can go wrong will go wrong.
28:27Every decision that is made is the wrong decision.
28:31And it's – it's like the Twilight Zone.
28:35Like, it's – or it's like that Seinfeld episode where George tries – you know, he just tries to do the opposite of everything he does.
28:43He goes, whatever, you know, all my life I've been eating, you know, egg salad on rye, and nothing goes right for me.
28:49So maybe I should get tuna salad on wheat or whatever the line is.
28:52You know, everything that they think they should do, they should just try the opposite and see how it works.
28:57Because, you know, right now it's – whatever they do, it doesn't work.
29:01You know, it's up is down, left is right.
29:04It doesn't work.
29:06And it's, you know, if it's one thing – if it's not one thing, it's the other.
29:09If it's not a fourth quarter collapse, it's a blowout.
29:11You know, it's always something.
29:14And, look, they've got a bye week, so we'll have a while until they play again.
29:18They do have a softer schedule.
29:20You know, they play the Raiders and the Vikings, I think, after the bye.
29:24And the commanders as well.
29:25And the commanders, but there is no soft schedule for a team like this right now.
29:32You know, it's a softer schedule, but there is no soft landing spot for a team that's playing like they are right now.
29:38You know, the Raiders and the Vikings and the commanders are looking at the Giants and saying, that's our chance to get –
29:44That's our get right game.
29:46There's our game.
29:47We get to go to the club after because we get to celebrate the win, and you see it.
29:52And I'm going to sum it up right here with Tony Carr 55's comment.
29:58And we thank you all for the comments throughout the course of all of these live streams, these post-game live streams.
30:05But this one kind of hits it, the what we saw today and how we all feel right now.
30:11Tony Carr 55 beat, dominated, and bullied.
30:16That's poignant.
30:23Mic drop.
30:25I don't know what else to say after that because I know that's how I felt watching.
30:30And I know that's how the fans – a lot of people that were watching the game at the watch party, the last watch party that we had of the season.
30:36Because we came into that thing – we came into downtown social talking all the trash to the Patriots fans like, oh, it's going to be upset tonight.
30:46Uh-oh, Ma Bradshaw was there.
30:48Two Super Bowl rings against the Patriots.
30:50I got one against the Patriots.
30:52We were talking so much trash, and this dude shut us up, like absolutely shut us up to where I had to tell one of my friends who's a diehard Giants fan.
31:02I was like, yo, chill, bro, like what are you trying to press up on, like what are you being rude to the guy for, man?
31:08All he's doing is giving you the same stuff we gave him.
31:12But beat, bullied, and absolutely dominated is how we all feel right now.
31:19But at the end of the day, we still got a job to do.
31:21Jared Schwartz just absolutely killed it with the commentary.
31:24Appreciate you guys for rocking with us at this post-game live.
31:28It's past a lot of our bedtimes.
31:30We've got to be up early in the morning for daycares and to be in studio.
31:35Jared, Marcus Freeman is coming into studio tomorrow.
31:41We're doing an interview with him, sit down with him one-on-one.
31:45Got to ask the question.
31:47Not going to say it here, but make sure you guys lock into that interview.
31:51I have to ask the question.
31:54But –
31:54Well, the question is what his arm routine is in the gym, right?
31:59He's swole, right?
32:01The kid swole, right?
32:02Sit next to him.
32:03Make sure, you know, keep those arms down because he's going to tower over you.
32:08I will do push-ups before the interview.
32:11Thank you guys for watching the Blue Rush post-game show.
32:15The Giants dropped 2-11 on the season.
32:18They dropped their seventh in a row.
32:19The 33-15 loss to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.
32:25For Jared Schwartz, I am Brandon London.
32:28Promise I'll have my voice on the next one.
32:30Thanks for watching Blue Rush.
32:32Thanks for watching Blue Rush.
