00:00you guys want to know my honest opinion of the giants 2025 preseason i got two things to say

00:09here one this is probably the most lit preseason that we've had here at netlife stadium in quite a

00:17long time i'm talking we're seeing touchdowns we're seeing pick sixes abdul carter has been

00:23absolutely amazing the pass rush linebackers making plays and of course we've never seen

00:28quarterback play like this across the board and giants football for quite some time so my second

00:36thought of my second opinion is this is for brian dable i don't envy you right now because you have

00:44such a tough decision to make when it comes to those four quarterbacks that are in that qb room

00:51all four of them have shown that they can play nfl football whether it's russell wilson he still got

00:58it whether it's the rookie and jackson dart that shows that he has it jameis can still step in the

01:04field and make a play you saw him throw a touchdown pass to jalen hyatt on his first play today when

01:11he got thrown into the game when jackson dart had to come out and then tommy devito mr new jersey

01:18himself has come in stepped in today and showed that he belongs on an nfl roster so if i'm brian

01:25dable mike kafka and those guys they really have to sit down and make a decision on not only who

01:33makes the team because obviously russell wilson jackson dart are making this roster but who do

01:38you play like who plays where is jackson dart did he play good enough to be your qb2 i think every

01:47single giants fan out there that watched this kid throughout the training camp throughout his

01:52preseason games will say this rookie exceeded expectations i don't think any giants fan in that

02:00building in metlife stadium right now thought that when they traded up in the first round or traded back

02:08up into the first round to go get jackson dart and that pick was made and they announced his name

02:14i don't think anyone thought that he was going to play as well as he did now they announced that

02:21russell wilson is going to be qb1 and and don't be stupid y'all there's no way there's no way they're

02:28going to put jackson dart in as qb1 to go down to the washington commanders and try and go toe-to-toe

02:35with the jayden daniels and then be go toe-to-toe with dak prescott and then go toe-to-toe with patrick

02:41mahomes don't do that to that kid we see when you throw a nfl quarterback our young rookie quarterback

02:46you see when you throw them into the wolves what happens to them about what 85 to 90 percent of the

02:54time russell wilson has played well enough for him to continue to be the giants qb1 there is no aura

03:02around quest diagnostics training center or in metlife stadium or in that locker room if russell

03:09wilson doesn't come in here step in day one and be the guy be that 10-time pro bowler be that 13 year

03:18going into his 14th year nfl vet but when we talk about who's going to be that qb2 that backup quarterback

03:25is it going to be jameis is it going to be jackson dart i think that they're going to stick to the to

03:31the process stick to their plan in terms of they've thrown everything they can at jackson dart

03:37to one get him ready to two see what sticks see if they can if see if he can handle it it's ironic

03:46that he has come in and lit up metlife stadium buffalo bills stadium where his first team rep

03:54or pass in team period during the spring was a pick six people jump down his throat now look

04:02he steps into the game everybody everybody is on their feet cheering for this kid you talk to every

04:09giants receiver you saw after the touchdown today that he threw to greg dolczyk who was one of the

04:14first people to kind of greet him jump up and do the little the little shoulder bump malik neighbors

04:19russell wilson came out and showed him love we have not seen a quarterback room like this for the

04:26new york football giants in a long time and it's got everyone excited but don't let the excitement

04:32don't let the hype ruin this kid's development because he's on pace to take the keys to the ferrari

04:39and take this thing on the for for a spin but i don't think it's going to be in that first four

04:46games that's just my humble opinion but shout out to all these to those those four quarterbacks

04:51for making giants football exciting again in the preseason but overall to talk about this team

04:58overall because i said this is probably one of the best preseasons that the giants have had

05:03not only in that quarterback room but as an overall team being able to watch the pass rush and guys like

05:10brian burns uh abdul carter coming off the edge not only attacking the quarterback making that quarterback

05:17whether it's a justin fields or mitch trubisky move off his spot we saw a good cornerback play

05:23and a pulse in the debo uh uh cordell flott made a play week two or or preseason week two against

05:31the garrett wilson we're looking at this giants team the expectations are are insurmountable right

05:37now a lot of people are saying what oh they're only going to win three games they're only going to win

05:41five games i'll take the over any day and i think every fan that's standing around watching right

05:47now will take that over right now because of what they've seen in training camp and what they've

05:51seen throughout the preseason and i know what a lot of you're going to say oh you're just a giants

05:56homer you're the you're the you're the in game emcee or hashtag emcee get that right you're you're

06:02just one of those giants guys won the super bowl here i don't think you guys been watching you haven't

06:07been watching practice after practice you haven't been watching the social media these guys getting

06:12together going to dinner russ getting these guys together bringing them out to san diego

06:17to run routes uh in between mini camp and training camp because they didn't want to miss a beat and

06:23you see that in the play russell wilson has come in and unlocked a jalen hyatt he's unlocked wandel

06:30robinson and if you think you're one of those people like what's that chemistry going to be like

06:34between him malik neighbors is there malik neighbors is a dog top five to top 10 receiver in this league

06:41i say all that to say this we all got to relax it was only preseason now it's time for real

06:47real bullets to get to flying they're going to go down to washington on september 7th and we don't

06:53know how that game is going to go but i'll tell you this i feel a lot better about new york giants

06:58football going into the gauntlet of the schedule that they have i feel better about this team and this

07:05and going into that schedule a million times more right now after this third preseason game

07:13than what we all felt the way the roster was orchestrated at the time the schedule came out

07:20we knew russ was there we knew the defensive line that all those guys were going to be there

07:23but we didn't get to see these guys get on the field at training camps and in preseason games

07:28it's just a different energy going on around around the buildings around the stadium you can feel it

07:36you see it on social media you see it on these guys social media i mean it's just it's just absolutely

07:41different and giants fans you know me i i go to your fan caves i come to your to your parties your

07:47watch parties you guys know me i'll kick it 100 to you guys when the team is in the dump i'll kick it

07:53to you 100 when i feel as though this team is could finally take a step or turn the table or whatever

07:59whatever i don't even know what that that that phrase is called but the hype the hype is real

08:04the buzz is real i don't know i'm gonna just go ahead and wrap this thing up man we again we just

08:09it's it's a different feeling in this parking lot right now coming out of this game now we got two

08:14weeks until um kickoff against the commanders then they go down and play the cowboys but i can tell

08:20you this when the chiefs coming into town on september uh whatever that is the third week of

08:24the season it's gonna be preasy it's gonna be what the kids call lit because a lot of people are going

08:30to be excited don't sleep on giants football this year i think they've shown a lot i think they're

08:34going to change the narrative when it comes to this team brendan london appreciate you guys hanging
