00:00In this video, I will show you how to install the ChatGPT app on your laptop.
00:05So to do this, what you want to do is open up any internet browser.
00:09I'll be using Google Chrome.
00:11Now, what you want to do is come up to the address bar at the top
00:13and type chatgpt.com forward slash download.
00:18Hit enter and what that's going to do is take you across to the ChatGPT website
00:22and the official download page.
00:25Now, from here, you can see we can download the ChatGPT for desktop.
00:28So what you want to do is click the download for Windows button here.
00:31And what it's going to do is download the installer onto your laptop.
00:35You can then open up your download folder and click to run the installer.
00:39And as you can see, it's going to start downloading and installing the ChatGPT app on your laptop.
00:44So it just takes a minute or two to run through and do this.
00:47And once the app has finished downloading and installing,
00:50you're going to get a window like this asking you to sign into ChatGPT.
00:54So what you want to do is click on to continue to sign in.
00:57Or if you don't yet have an account, you can click the sign up link here
01:00to sign up for a ChatGPT account.
01:03If you click on to sign in, it's going to open up an internet browser.
01:07And as you can see, you can choose an account I logged into already.
01:10Or alternatively, you can click use another account.
01:13So I'm just going to log in with this account here.
01:15Click continue.
01:16And what it's going to do is log you into the ChatGPT app.
01:20So you can see it's just loading through.
01:21It just takes a minute or two to do this.
01:23And initially, there's going to be a quick setup process to go through.
01:27So you just want to follow the questions, click continue.
01:31And after you've done that, you can just skip then.
01:33So you can click skip at the bottom if you want to skip the setup.
01:36Or of course, you can click if you want to keep setting up and go through the steps to
01:40tailor ChatGPT for your own personal experience.
01:43So as you can see, that's now downloaded and installed.
