The heat isn't letting up across the West. Temperatures could challenge records this weekend from California to Oregon and Idaho, while hot weather keeps the fire danger high into next week.

00:00Heat, heat, and more heat across all of the west right in the next week. Why? Big upper highs centered
00:07across the Great Basin.
00:09While there's not going to be a Santa Ana, strong winds out of the east, there's going to be enough
00:15of an offshore flow to get that heat right toward the coast.
00:20And temperatures, well, they're going to be challenging records right into the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday.
00:26And it's not just in California. It's across parts of Nevada as well. Reno, Nevada, challenging the record along with
00:34Elko as well.
00:35Now, on Sunday, we're also talking about records as far north as Idaho and into Oregon.
00:42With this heat in Southern California and throughout the west, the fire danger is going to remain high.
00:48And when you take a look at the AccuWeather seven-day forecast, the heat will linger in the Southern California
00:54and most of the west at least in the next week.
00:58But over the next couple of days, hottest weather in Los Angeles will be this weekend in the Monday.
