From Arizona to Washington, record-challenging triple-digit heat is continuing this week.

00:00Just a cornucopia of heat alerts here in the west. Let's take a look at the current temperatures.
00:03It is a hot, hot time out there. So Sky Harbor reporting 114. Las Vegas is at 117 degrees. So
00:10this matches the old all-time record high. And before Sunday there had been five occasions in
00:18which Las Vegas hit 117 in history. Over there right now we hit 120 on Sunday. So there's a
00:25new record there, all-time record high, in Las Vegas as of Sunday at 120 degrees. It's just
00:29exceptionally hot. Portland, Oregon, 103 in Portland, Oregon. We have 70 in San Fran, so
00:35that's a good place to be right now. All-time record highs that were broken between Friday,
00:39Saturday, and Sunday in the rearview mirror. Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Redding, Palmdale,
00:44and also Raleigh, North Carolina, all broke all-time record highs last weekend. Friday,
00:50Saturday, and Sunday. More scorching heat in the southwest right now. We're dealing with some big
00:54time heat. Excessive heat warnings continue in the southwest, in Las Vegas and other areas around
00:59Phoenix too. And when we take a look at the daily record highs, running up against the all-time,
01:05well not the all-time, the hottest July 10th. The hottest July 10th in history. Vegas should
01:10break a record for hottest July 10th. Imperial will tie that of three years ago and also about
01:17what, 12 years ago. And into Phoenix we should break the record there by two degrees. Tie the
01:23record hottest July 10th in Tucson. Elko, Nevada should break the record by two degrees. And it's
01:27not just the southwest. Look at the northwest. We have more record challenging highs for tomorrow.
01:33Big time heat out there for hottest July 10th. We'll break the record in Pasco, Lewiston,
01:38Boise. These are hot spots. People sometimes underestimate how hot the interior northwest
01:43can get. And Thursday, here's a mixed bag here of more record breaking highs for July 11th in the
01:50books.
