04:28What's going on in on the养.
04:29What's going on, what's going on, what's going on, what's going on in on today?
04:37where everyday conversations lead to financial awareness. So here we are. We're here live.
04:45Once again, part three of this series. We're live here. Episode 56. What's your why
04:54when nobody's watching? We have a very special guest tonight. Garnett Rogers seniors will be
05:02in in a minute. But before we go ahead and get into that, I most certainly cannot do this without
05:08each and every one of you out there. Please do me a favor. Please hit that like button. Please

05:34this podcast out. I want to say what's up to the new people out there on YouTube. Thank
05:39you so much as well. Thank you to the newcomers on Spotify as well. Listening to the 411 podcast,
05:46please go ahead and do me a favor and go ahead and hit that like button, drop it in the
05:51comments
05:52and let me know where you are calling from. Now, of course, I most certainly cannot do this
05:59without my executive producer. I want to thank God for giving me the strength, the courage,
06:04the wisdom, the drive, and the power to continuously keep doing what we are doing here. Six years
06:10going strong. And of course, without him, this would not be possible. And without each and
06:16every one of you, I want to say thank you. Now just realize, not just realize, but I know
06:31that this is the 411 podcast. This is my podcast. This is our podcast and we can do whatever we
06:40want
06:40to do. We don't need to answer to anybody. So I'm just letting you know that I wrote a few
06:45things down.
06:46Normally I go off the dome, but today I wrote a few things down as we go ahead and get
06:52into this
06:52song of the day. So let's go ahead and do it.
07:05Song of the day, watching you by Slave, released in 1980. That was the year that I was born.
07:14And listen, by the time that I was old enough to remember this record, whenever it came on,
07:19it was definitely that jam for me. I don't know about you, but in the eighties, it definitely
07:25did that for me. So the song watching you, of course, you know what it's about, but you know
07:32what we do here? We remix it and we flip it around. So I'm going to talk about watching,
07:39watching you, somebody watching you, your higher power, God, the universe. I know I'm speaking to
07:47a lot of different people across different countries and platforms and things of that
07:51nature. So however you take it, whether you God, universe, higher power, but how do you act
08:00when you realize that someone is watching you? Or how do you act when you think that nobody is
08:08watching you? Do you spend your money a little bit different? Or are you a little bit more reserved
08:14when you're speaking because you know that somebody's watching you? Or do you do things a
08:21little bit different? Do you act, do you make different moves when you think that nobody is watching
08:27you? But see, one thing that I know is that the God that I serve, he sees all and he
08:34hears all.
08:35But for some of us, we might think a little bit differently. Again, I'm only speaking from real
08:41life experiences, but how do you make moves? How do you make money moves when nobody's watching?
08:49Now, I said I had to write some things down, so I'm going to just go ahead and give it
08:52to you
08:53as you answer that rhetorical question. Remember, money is energy and energy doesn't lie.
09:01So who are you with your money when you think that nobody is watching? And remember what I said,
09:08God hears all and sees everything. So who you are with money when you think no one is looking
09:14is who you actually are spiritually. And one thing that I know a lot of people, I was on a
09:20podcast earlier
09:22with Queen Dawn Spirit. Shout out to Queen Dawn Spirit. And we were speaking about money,
09:27people wanting more money, financial freedom, a financial foundation. But one thing that I know,
09:35I know one thing for certain, is that more money cannot fix a financially broken foundation.
09:41The only thing that it'll do is actually expose it. So for those of you out there praying,
09:47wishing, hoping for more money, if you haven't become the person mentally and spiritually that
09:52could be able to handle that, more money could actually be very detrimental to you. And it will
09:58actually expose the person who you really are underneath it all. Now, these are some things
10:04that I'm going to run through real quick that sabotages us and keeps us stuck, a certain group of
10:09people stuck because of how we think and how we feel about money. I don't care about money.
10:17I just want to help people. Money is the root of all evil. I'm just bad with money. People like
10:24me
10:25never get ahead. I don't need to be rich. I just need enough to pay my bills. The economy is
10:31ruined,
10:31so there's no point in me even trying to save any money. The system is rigged and it doesn't work
10:36for
10:36people like me. Listen, how you think and how you feel about money is one thing, but I'll also want
10:47you to, I'm going to leave you with this because see how we speak and how we feel and how
10:51we think
10:51about ourselves. And sometimes when I remember when I said watching you, sometimes we're our own
10:57worst enemies and we can go in on ourselves even more when nobody is around, when nobody is watching
11:02us. When the cameras are off, when the lights are off, that's when we really show our true colors,
11:08when we're behind closed doors. And some of that negativity and that bad talk about money,
11:13some of those same things that I just ran through, a lot of us rehearse and we play those same
11:18broken
11:18records over and over and over and over again. And most importantly is you don't even have to speak it.
11:27Sometimes it's more powerful when you're just sitting there thinking it. Remember life and death
11:33is in the power of the tongue. So we have to be very careful about the things that we say.
11:37And most importantly, we have to be very careful and cautious about our thoughts.
11:42And for those of you who want that financial freedom and you want to be able to pull away and
11:47you want to be able to break away from the matrix and you want to be able to have your
11:50own because
11:50we're going to speak about businesses and starting up businesses and maintaining them. Listen, if you
11:57rely on your nine to five, not saying that that's a bad thing. Some of us need that. Some of
12:02us are
12:02here in this space, but if you, if you rely on that as your end all be all, if you
12:08allow them to feed
12:09you, you will allow them to starve you as well. Song of the day, watching you by Slave, released in
12:171980.
12:28All right. So I think we, we are amped up a little bit, amped up. So now we're going to
12:33go ahead
12:33and bring in our special guests, Mr. Garnett Rogers Sr. Let's go ahead and call him up and see
12:41what he thinks about all of this. What's going on. What's going on. Welcome. Welcome. Welcome.
13:01Welcome. Welcome on into the 411. What's going on? Oh man. You know, like you said earlier, God is good.
13:08He's the greatest. He's amazing. And like the word say with him, we can do all things. Without him, we
13:14can
13:15do nothing. I know that's right. I know that deserves this right here. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. So where are
13:24you
13:24calling from? I'm calling from sunny Sacramento, California. That's what's up. So I bet the weather is a
13:34heck of a lot better than what I got going on here. So we got this little Nor'easter type
13:40stuff going on,
13:41a bunch of rain, bunch of wind, and it's a little bit chilly here in New Jersey.
13:46Yeah. No, we ain't saying none of that. It said like 80, 82, 83. Yeah. That's where I need to
13:55be.
14:00You know, so, so let's, let's go back a little bit to song of the day watching you. How you
14:07feel
14:07about that joint? You remember that song? Oh man, you know the eighties, man. In the eighties,
14:12you know, that's where it was at. You know, I'm a seventies baby. So seventies, eighties,
14:17man, that's where it was at. It was a whole different time era, man, but it was beautiful
14:21though. Um, nothing like today. And, uh, you know, just, just, just, just a lot of classics,
14:28you know, during that time in the eighties, I mean, that's hit after hit after hit, you know,
14:32we can go on and on. Okay. I ain't never heard of that joint, but you know, evidently it was
14:38wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Now we have to, we have to stop
14:43the
14:43breaks here. Now we got to stop the breaks. Now you, you heard of it. You had to, if not,
14:51we're going to shut this podcast down right now. You have heard of it. You probably just don't
14:55know the group name. I promise you. I promise you you heard of it. Okay. Okay. Please don't
15:02shit. Walking down the street, watching ladies go by watching you. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
15:10Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. See, you got, you got, you got, you got to say it all the way out,
15:14brother. All right. All the way out. You can't just say watching you up like, I don't know what
15:20that is watching you. All right. So, um, money, you, you know, you're in a money sector and we
15:29invited you on here. You have a business, uh, which, you know, I do money, I do money and I
15:34do
15:34music. So you have, um, a business so fresh, so clean reminds me of the outcast song. So fresh
15:42and so clean, clean. So can you, uh, let us know about your business venture? Um, like I said,
15:49brother, it's a trash being clean. It's not flashy. It's not exciting. It's not done. Nothing
15:56that you rarely hear about, but it is a booming, uh, multi-million dollar business that a lot of
16:03people don't know about. Um, it's a very service-based business. Um, there's a lot of stinky,
16:10nasty trash cans out there. There's a lot of people getting tickets from the HOA. There's a lot
16:15of people getting harassed by the neighbors, putting stickers on the trash can saying, Hey,
16:19could you clean your trash can? It's stinking up the block. And that's what, um, provoked me,
16:24brother, just to go on and start this business. Um, there wasn't nobody doing it. And you know,
16:30since I've been knee high to a grasshopper, I've always taught that a trash can was supposed to be
16:34nasty, that it was supposed to be nasty. It was supposed to be stinky. Hey, that's just the way
16:39it is. But no. So now I'm coming out, um, with a, with a new enlightenment and just letting people
16:47know that there's a service out there that we can keep the rats out of your trash can. We can
16:52keep
16:52the possums out of your trash can. We can keep the raccoons from out there throwing block parties
16:56and we keep your trash can nice and clean, you know, and, and put you on a nice little service
17:01and you ain't got to worry about that no more. So, um, that's, that's pretty much, um, the workload
17:08for me, brother, at this time is just enlighten, um, thousands of people that there is a service
17:14that actually comes out and can maintain your trash bin. Wow. So now I never knew that exists.
17:24So thank you for bringing us that to our attention. So now I, I know where you're coming from because
17:31I had to purchase a trash can in my neighborhood because they got this new garbage truck or this
17:39new system to where they said that your regular everyday rinky dink garbage can would not work.
17:44So we need you to get this specific garbage can that will hook up to the truck and it'll be
17:50able
17:50to do its thing. Okay. So I said, all right, let me go to home Depot and check it out.
17:55The cheapest
17:57garbage can that I could find at home Depot. And this was a couple of years ago. So I'm sure
18:01it's
18:01more now was no cheaper than $70. Okay. So now I can understand why if you buying something
18:10for $70, a hundred dollars on up for a trash can, that's sort of a little, little, it's not
18:17a little piece of change there. So you obviously are not going to keep running out and buying,
18:21you know, trash can over trash can over trash can. So now I can see how your business, uh,
18:25uh, you know, actually, and actually brother actually by maintaining the cleaning, a lot of
18:33people long, a lot of homeowners don't know this, but by maintaining the cleaning, you actually
18:37prolong the trash bin, the grime and the, the, the Simon Miller and all that eats away at the plastic
18:45and little by little eats the, eats the trash bin away. So by you keeping it dirty and nasty,
18:52the germs and the fungus is actually eating away the plastic of the trash bin. But by you
18:58staying on top of it and cleaning it, you're actually prolonging the trash bin and you're
19:04saving money from calling the city from going to home Depot brother and have to go and purchase
19:09another one. Why do all that? When you can have a service that can prolong the trash bin,
19:14clean it regularly and, and save you money. I say it's a win-win situation, but there's some
19:20people out there that the apple hasn't hit them over the head yet and they're cheap.
19:24Yeah. I said cheap with a capital C they're cheap and they want to keep rinsing out their
19:29own trash bin with a water hose and thinking that they're doing something. And I'm like,
19:35you're not doing anything. Everything that's in there is still in there. You just rinsing around
19:42with a water hose, with some plain water and you dumped it out and sat it on your lawn to
19:46dry out.
19:46And when you, when it dries out and you flip it back over, everything that was in there is still
19:51going to be in there. Wow. So this is more so like we, we doing service on a trash can,
19:58but then
19:58also we got to educate people. We got to educate the uneducated on this. Cause you, you, you let me
20:03know some information here. And I know a lot of homeowners out there that probably don't know this
20:08information as well. So, all right. So a typical day, what does the typical day look like for you
20:14when it comes to this business? Typical day is about three or four jobs, brother. Um, just going
20:20out. Uh, sometimes it's regular customers. Uh, sometimes it's, uh, um, a potential client. I don't
20:28like to say customer. Sometimes it's regular clients and sometimes it's potential clients,
20:32brother, because we have a, we have a, uh, a giveaway that we do. We offer you the first time
20:38cleaning free. So we're just that good that we're actually, we're actually willing to come
20:44out and clean your trash bin for free just to show you where the best to show you were
20:50so fresh, so clean, and that there's nobody like us out there that we're willing to come
20:54out there and do it for free. And then after that, tell you what we offer and bring to the
20:59table. So, um, that's pretty much a, uh, a routine day. And just like you said, brother,
21:06educating people on the trash bin, educating people on the service. And also one thing I
21:10didn't talk about last but not least, the black widows, the black widows that starts a whole
21:18family inside of your trash bin in the nooks and crannies, daddy, mommy, sister, auntie, grandma,
21:24everybody's in there chilling. And the thing about it, you have a potential risk of coming
21:28out in the dark, opening the trash bin, putting trash in there and getting bit while them black
21:33widows. I remember I was doing a video. I do videos from time to time, brother with before
21:37and after. I remember I was cleaning the trash bin, rinsing it out. And a black widow actually
21:42came out on the video while I was cleaning. And I told everybody on the video, this is what
21:47I'm talking about. They just come out at random moments and you never know. So what if your
21:51kids or your loved one was out there dumping the trash and they just happen to be blending
21:57in, especially if you have a black trash bin, they just happen to be blending in with the
22:00trash bin and you put your hand on it and get bit by one. So this is another thing. This
22:06is another thing that homeowners need to take in consideration, brother, that when you have
22:11a dirty trash bin, you have black widows that's just hanging around waiting for whatever.
22:17But with a routine cleaning, you ain't got to worry about that.
22:22Wow. Listen, I don't know where they are in the areas. I know in warmer climates that brings,
22:31you know, different insects and things like that. Here we are in Jersey, New Jersey, Northeast.
22:36I've heard and seen some black widows and actually on a job and stuff, but no, I can't,
22:44I can't mess with spiders. I don't do spiders. Yeah. And most black folks don't like spiders.
22:50So for those that you out there, y'all better go ahead.
22:54Hey, two things we stay away from are spiders and snakes. We ain't messing with them.
22:59I know that's right. Spiders, snakes. No, you forgot the third thing. It might even be four
23:05things. Rodents. We don't do rodents either. Yeah, we ain't messing with them. We is not messing
23:09with it. Call somebody out. We ain't messing with it. Yeah. Yeah. Call somebody out. I ain't
23:16dealing with it. So, so that, that, that's a, that's an important thing. That's, that's
23:22a health risk there. Health and safety. Yes. You also mentioned something else, which actually
23:27could be, you know, very lucrative for you. You mentioned something of these HOAs and we
23:35spoke about this before on previous podcasts, the HOAs, the homeowners associations that will
23:41not let you do certain things. You purchase a home, you get a mortgage, and then you're
23:47being told that you can't do X, Y, and Z. So the trash cans, how does that play a part
23:53with the HOA? I know you said something about it earlier.
23:57That plays a huge part because you're making both sides happy. The way HOAs are happy because
24:03they don't have to deal with, um, writing the ticket, having to come out and give you
24:07multiple, um, you know, multiple reminders that you need to take care of your trash can.
24:12And then as the homeowner, you're not getting a ticket. You're not getting the reminders because
24:17you're already in compliance with the HOA. So both sides are happy. And when the HOAs hire
24:23me on, then I can go and take care of their neighborhoods. You know, I can take care of neighborhoods
24:28and, and, you know, keep everything right, you know, keep everything. And I'm also, and
24:33I'm also, I'm also locked in with also a real estate agent too, because really there's a
24:38lot of real estate agents. We didn't talk about this either, brother. There's a lot of real
24:41estate agents that are out of pocket out there. I don't care if they're on this podcast, I'm
24:45calling you out and putting you on blast. Cause you need to be put out there. It's a lot
24:49of real estate agents that are out of pocket that sell these beautiful homes, but got nasty
24:53trash bins from the previous homeowners. I, I did, I got a client that had purchased a
24:59home. They said the previous homeowner, they had been there for two years and nobody had
25:05never cleaned the trash, trash bins two years. And the trash bins had never been cleaned.
25:11And this was from a previous homeowner that they bought the house from. So that, so that
25:15lets you know that the real estate agent just went on and just rushing to hush it, hurry
25:19up and sold them the house and didn't care about what the trash bin. No, the trash
25:23bins are part of the home. If I'm doing a tour with my family and I'm walking through
25:28and you showing me the bedrooms and you showing me the kitchen and you showing me this patio
25:32and you showing me the swimming pool. Hey, if I see a sticky trash bin over there with maggots
25:36falling all over thousands of flies swimming around, that's a deal breaker. So these real
25:41estate agents need to stop doing that. They need to call in so fresh, so clean, have us
25:46come out there, knock that trash bin out. So therefore when you do this home tour, everything
25:51goes smoothly. Everything is clean. Everything looking good. And you get the person, you get
25:56the buyer saying, Hey, we're ready. We, we, you sold us. We're ready to go on and buy this
26:00house. But they've been doing that brother. They've been selling these houses and these
26:04trash cans been filthy, nasty. I mean, they still got trash in them from the last homeowner.
26:12Wow. See, and you live in a warmer climate. So that's very imperative to make sure that
26:17that's under control. I think that that's where your business thrives because of the warmer
26:21climate compared to, you know, what we have over here. Yeah. So you, you mentioned something
26:28that was, that was good. The homeowners association, you work with them directly versus going to
26:34house to house to house. So that's, that's something. Yeah. Well, you, well, you know, you got to
26:39work smarter, brother, because you got to look at it. The homeowners, the HOAs and the real
26:43estate agent, they already have all the houses. So why beat yourself up and, and go house to
26:49house when you can go to the source that has all the houses. I know that's right. See, we
26:54have to, we have to use our brain, brother. We, we gots to work smarter, not harder. Why
26:59go house to house looking for clients when the HOA and the real estate agent has all the houses.
27:05So you come in and you just go ahead and you take care of the whole section, whole neighborhood
27:11and you go. Yep. That's it. That is it, bro. So you are appealing to, you know, a greater,
27:23not, not the individual homeowners, but do you have individual homeowners that come to you or
27:29it's more so, you know, business owners that come to you? I haven't really had no business
27:36owners yet. It's been pretty much residential right now, brother. I haven't had any business
27:41owners. I do have individuals come to me through the business Facebook page. I'll have people,
27:48you know, click on from that. Cause I do, I send videos, you know, pretty much every day on my
27:53business Facebook page. So I have individual, you know, homeowners that'll click in on that
27:58and say, Hey, we seen you on Facebook. We seen the video of you cleaning the trash bin,
28:02how nasty it was. And before, after video, we want to, you know, want you to come out and,
28:06you know, test your service.
28:09Oh, I got you. I got you.
28:10Yeah.
28:11So at this moment, I want you to go ahead and let us know in case anybody comes across this
28:17podcast, anybody's listening, they want to get it. Go ahead and get in contact with you.
28:22Go ahead and give them your information.
28:24Okay. Well, well, the website is, it's real simple. Real catchy is the trash stinks.com.
28:33That's it. The trash stinks.com. And I can be reached at nine one six three six zero zero one
28:41three two. Once again, nine one six three six zero zero one three two. The trash stinks.com all one
28:51word. The trash stinks.com. There you go. Yeah. Yeah. Short, simple and sweet. Now, didn't
28:58I learn some things today, man? The black widows. Wow. The real estate agents down to the real
29:07estate agents, the homeowners association. I learned a lot of stuff. My father was a garbage
29:14man. So I'll just put, I'll just put this out there. My father was a garbage man. And when
29:20he came home from work, I used to run from him. Yeah. I can believe it, brother. I can truly
29:29believe it. I can believe it. Watch everything, but get out of here. Yeah. Yeah. I can believe
29:37it. And if you had a blue light and if you had a blue light brother that you could go
29:41over his uniform and see what was all on the uniform, you will be blown away. If you had
29:46that ultraviolet light that you could go over his uniform and see everything he touched on
29:51the trash bins while he was out there, you would be blown away. That's crazy. But they
29:56do get paid a decent amount of money though. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. He going out there
30:01risking his life, you know, and they, and they can't, and they only pay you for what you
30:05learned. Hmm. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So now I want to get into this segment, which I call
30:13burning questions. Okay. Got a burning question that I'm going to ask you before I go ahead
30:18and let you get on up out of here. So when your values are tested, when the chips hit the
30:23fan, what guides the decisions that you make, including the decisions that you make with money?
30:32Uh, well guys, my decision is my will to win my will to win never to quit. And like you
30:40were saying earlier, what I'm doing when nobody's looking, everybody can be a cheerleader and
30:45rah, rah, rah for me after I've made it, after they've seen me on Forbes, after I'm on the stock
30:50exchange and all this stuff. But what was I doing behind closed doors? What was I doing when
30:55nobody did barely know my name? What was I doing when I only had enough customers that
31:00I could count on my hand? What was I doing during those down times? I was grinding. I
31:06was, I was, I was going in, I was getting it, you know? So now everybody sees the fruits of
31:11the labor, but they didn't see the trial struggle and error. So that's what it is, brother.
31:17And the will not to quit. Cause if you quit, it'll never happen.
31:24It's so interesting that you said now that everybody sees the fruits of your labor, do
31:29you feel that sometimes that now that things have turned, you're turning a corner that people
31:34want to get in, try to get in where they could fit in. They, they want to try to know
31:39or crack
31:40the secret code. Do you get that or not? Because I've had people come on here to say people want
31:45to know my secrets. They want to know what I did, but they don't understand the sleepless
31:49nights. They don't understand what it took for me to build. And now that I'm here, people
31:54want me to give them this get rich quick exit strategy. Is that something that you notice
32:00in your business?
32:02No, I haven't noticed that yet, brother. Because like I said, I'm actually still under the
32:06radar. Nobody's really worried about me like that. So I haven't got to that point. I usually
32:12tend to give a lot of people words of wisdom and enlightenment and motivation for me, just
32:18giving it to them. They don't really ask me for it. I just feel I'm, you know, God just
32:23leads me to give it to them. So no, I haven't reached that level, that point yet that people
32:28are asking me to crack the code yet and ask me, what did I do to get? I haven't got
32:32to
32:32that point yet with people. So nobody's really asking me that yet.
32:36Okay. In some cases you might be lucky that they're not asking you that because like I
32:43said, sometimes it's the sleepless days and nights that it took to build everything. And
32:47now that, you know, it shows up on the surface. Now you want to come in and ask questions,
32:53but you didn't see the shadow work that was going on. You didn't see the behind the scenes
32:58work that was going on. You didn't see what it took to build, you know, this, you know,
33:03monument. So yes, I got you. I appreciate that. And also with this being spiritual Sunday,
33:12how much does your spirituality pay, play into, you know, where you are today?
33:18I dedicate this business to him. You know, I told him I've dedicated this business to him.
33:23This always, this business will always be dedicated to him. Any business that I start
33:27will be dedicated to him. And, uh, he's the, he's the captain in the ship. I'm just, I'm just
33:31part of the crew, you know, he's the captain in the ship. Um, all my, my, my thoughts, uh,
33:38my creativity, um, my, my, my chest moves, my pivots, they all come through him.
33:46Yeah. You know, they all, they all come through him. And, uh, um, my scripture that I was talking
33:54about this morning as a man thinking is, wow. That's one of my favorite ones. I was just telling
34:02my daughter that, um, last week, um, as a man thinketh, um, I don't have the exact one.
34:11So I'm still paraphrasing it, brother. Therefore he is. And the thing about it, what we got to realize
34:18is that we can have, and we can be whatever we want, because in the spiritual, this is what I
34:25was
34:25talking about this morning too. In the spiritual, God has already met you. Whatever you want to
34:31become, God has already met you in the spiritual, but on the physical, he's waiting for you to walk
34:39through the door. That's why another scripture says, knock and it shall open. You got to be able
34:47to walk in it. And then as you, and then as you look at the picture of saying, God, you
34:54know,
34:54ask God to come in. When you look at the door, as you look, if you look closely, a lot
34:59of people
35:00miss this brother and you go, this is a wild moment for a lot of people miss this. When you
35:03look at the
35:04door, the doorknob is only on your side. There's no door handle on the outside because God is a
35:10gentleman. He's not going to force his way in. You have to meet him there. So therefore that's saying
35:15to us, you have to open the door physically, open the door, come out and meet him halfway
35:22and become who you're supposed to become. There's no door handle on the other side of the door,
35:28only on your side, because it's meant for you to open the door and walk in it.
35:45That's so powerful. As a man thinketh, I believe it's as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
35:55Yeah, there it go. There it go. What we think about ourselves shows up in reality. And if we are
36:07made
36:07in an image like God, how dare us, and this is for everybody, including myself, how dare us think
36:17anything about ourselves than anything that's positive, anything that's love, anything that's
36:26joy, anything that's peace, anything that's power, because that's what God is. So if you know who
36:33your father is, then therefore you don't know who you are. Hey man, come on, come on. But a lot
36:40of times
36:41times we sit back and we use God's name in vain, because if I know who my father is, then
36:50I know
36:51who I am. So how dare I speak disrespectful about who I am if I know who my father is.
36:59So a lot of
37:00people who speak disrespectful about themselves, I am broke, I am this, I am that. Every time you use
37:06the word I am, you have to be very careful because he is, I am. Come on. Come on. So
37:13don't sit around
37:14and say that you are broke. Don't sit around and say that you are weak. Don't sit around and say
37:21that you are poor. I can't do it. I can't. Yeah. I can't. Yeah. You have no time. We have
37:27no, we have no
37:28time, brother, because there's a famous quote that says, it's not about the world, what the world says
37:33about you. What do you say about yourself when you look at the mirror? Exactly. Because that's
37:37all that counts. There is no competition in this thing called life. Forget about what's on the
37:42gram. Forget about what's all, what your neighbors say. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses.
37:46Stop worrying about what somebody has to say. Yes. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
37:52Yes, we are. And that is the most powerful piece right there. Yeah. Once we figure that part
37:57out, you could become unstoppable. Well, we'll be limitless. Hmm. We'll be limitless. Once
38:04we find that part. And then I'm going to give you this one. Many people will like to be,
38:12well, how did I say it? People, many people would like to be in a familiar hell that live an
38:23unknown
38:23heaven. Yes. A familiar hell than an unknown heaven. And that is a lot of times of the things
38:34that we were brought up with. And this is when they say breaking generational curses. Yes. Because,
38:39because you are so accustomed and the mind and the nervous system becomes so accustomed to
38:46whatever abusive situations that you grew up with that you think that that's normal.
38:51Mm hmm. You're right. Yeah. That's why when you're starting a business, when you're doing
38:57anything like such as what you're doing. And I have to tell myself this sometimes too,
39:01when you start to get a little nervous, when you start to get a little scared, when you start to
39:06say,
39:06oh, maybe I can't, that's when you need to press the gas and you need to go forward because that's,
39:10that's that breaking out of the uncomfortable. Uh, excuse me. That's breaking out of the familiar.
39:16That's breaking out of the room. Our mind will trick us into thinking that staying in the familiar
39:21is, is what we need to be. Yes, exactly. Exactly. That's exactly when you need to hit the gas,
39:27brother. When you start getting worries, I don't know. That's when you need to hit the gas.
39:32That's exactly when you need the gas. You hit it right on the note. 150 miles, 150 miles an hour.
39:38No
39:38break. All gas, no break. Right. All gas, no break. Yeah. All right. We won't go ahead and get on
39:46up
39:46out of here. Is there any last words that you'd like to go ahead and leave us with? I like
39:52to leave
39:52you with this story that follows up with a familiar hell with unknown heaven. There was a once a soldier
40:00that got captured and was a POW of the Vietnam war. The Lieutenant of the Vietnam, the Vietnamese
40:09came to him and said, tomorrow you are going to die at the fire range. You are going to die
40:16at the fire
40:17range. You have two options. You can go tomorrow and die at the fire range, or you can go through
40:23this
40:24door. The man paused for a minute and said, I will take my fate and we'll go to the fire
40:31range tomorrow.
40:32Now, there was a secretary at the door listening to the conversation between the POW and the Lieutenant.
40:38So after they sent the POW back to his cell, the secretary asked the Lieutenant,
40:45what is behind that door? He said, freedom. I knew it. I knew it. Yep. Freedom. Wow.
40:55It's behind that door, brother. But he chose the fire range. I mean, if you already knew what was going
41:02to happen anyway, this is where you have to step out on faith. You know what I'm saying? Well,
41:07you already knew what was going to happen anyway. Yeah. So at this point, it's like you don't have
41:12nothing but faith. Let's just, you know. Yeah. Well, I just appreciate you, brother. Thank you
41:18for having me, brother. Just keep doing what you're doing. I'm loving it. And like I said,
41:22prosperous, man. I see you. You're blowing up, man. You already there. I'm not going to say,
41:28wait till I see you get there. You already there. We manifest it. We speak it into existence. You
41:32already there in the spiritual. I know that's right. I know that's right. All right.
41:40All right. All right. Take care now. All right. Now. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
41:46there you have it. That was Garnett Rogers senior. Yeah.
41:56Can I just say that that is a great way to kick off spiritual Sunday? I mean, between
42:04my behind the scenes with queen don't spirit today and a brother like this that comes through and
42:11blesses the form one podcast kicks off part three of the live series, man, this was a great show.
42:20Go ahead and give it up to Mr. Garnett again.
42:31So fresh, so clean. Go ahead and check out his business. Go ahead and share this podcast out
42:37to anybody because we definitely need to go ahead and get the word out about that.
42:42So now if there's anything that you heard that you like that spark an interest,
42:48I want to let you know that you can head on over to laryngaines.com. I focus on debt-free
42:55living.
42:55I am a financial accountability coach. I help young professionals, anybody out there who is tired
43:03of living paycheck to paycheck. I help them develop a better relationship with money.
43:10Now we're speaking about this earlier when it comes to the relationship with money.
43:16Just like you and I, we got a relationship. You show up here, you listen to the podcast every week.
43:23If you have a spouse, you have a relationship with them. People down on your job, you have a
43:29relationship with them. You have your siblings, your parents, your relatives. You have relationships.
43:37You have friendships. They are all relationships. In a relationship, I want you to think it is about
43:44give and take, give and take. Sometimes you give, sometimes you take. In healthy relationships,
43:50that's what I want to say. In healthy ones, you give, you take. You meet me here, I meet you
43:55there.
43:56But what happens in unhealthy relationships where somebody is always giving, giving, giving,
44:02and then the other person is just always taking, taking, taking, taking. That's not a good dynamic
44:07when it comes to what a healthy relationship would look like. So I am here as a financial
44:14accountability coach to help you build a better relationship with your money. You have to think
44:19about your money as being in a relationship with your money. Are you the type of person where you're
44:26constantly giving, giving, giving when it comes to your money? Or are you a type of person that is
44:33constantly taking, taking, taking? Do you hold your money hostage? Do you allow your money to have an
44:38opportunity to grow, to breathe, to multiply? Or is it this nice, delicate, even balance? See, you can't have
44:46one of too much and not of another. So it has to be this nice, healthy balance. You can't hoard
44:53money.
44:54You can't suffocate money. It has to flow in and out as money is currency. I want you to remember
45:02that it has to flow in and out. Money likes to move as it is currency. So it won't do
45:08well if it's being
45:09hidden, if it's being hoarded, if it's being stifled, if it's being suffocated because a currency moves
45:16like a current. I want you to remember that. So again, look back at your situation.
45:25Again, I can only speak from real life experiences. I look back on my life
45:31a few years ago when I didn't know what I know today. And all of those things that I just
45:36spoke about,
45:38I was just that. I allowed my money to run the streets. I allowed my money to run loose and
45:45I had
45:45no control over the relationship, no understanding of the relationship. Now today I have a better
45:53relationship with money and there's a mutual understanding. It's just like a relationship.
46:00Would you like it if your spouse was out in the streets running loose, doing whatever?
46:07Do you think your spouse would like if you were so controlling and demanding and suffocating and never
46:14allowing your spouse to go out and mingle and have fun with friends and it's the same thing.
46:23Develop a better relationship with money. But before we get there, I don't know,
46:28I'm going to get out of here. But before we get there, we have to make sure that we
46:35are spiritually suited, mentally prepared to be able to handle the money when it comes to us.
46:43I'm not sure if you're aware, but majority of the people who won the lottery,
46:48let's say 85 to 90% of the people who win the lottery, because everyone says,
46:54oh, I just need more money. More money is going to help fix the situation. Remember what I said,
46:59more money on a broken financial foundation is only going to expose you, only going to make you
47:04look a certain way. You're going to look foolish once you get to that point. 85 to 90% of
47:10the people
47:10who actually win money come into big money, inheritances, whatever the case may be overnight,
47:16when they weren't spiritually or mentally prepared to be able to handle the money,
47:20to become the person who can able to handle the money, they end up regressing. They end up going
47:26backwards. They end up becoming worse off than they were as if they shouldn't have the money in
47:31the first place. So you come into a big lump sum of money and you're living it up. By the
47:36time it's
47:37all said and done, you end up being worse off than what you were in the first place. You probably
47:42were
47:43better off if you never inherited. You probably were better off if you never won the money in the first
47:47place because you hadn't taken the time to learn and become the person who it is that can handle
47:53and keep the money. You have to clear yourself spiritually, you have to clear yourself mentally,
47:59and you have to break those old generational patterns. You have to break those old generational
48:03curses and those thoughts and those feelings about how we think and feel about money. If there's anything
48:10that you heard that sparked an interest, anything that made you say, hmm, I might want to learn a
48:18little bit more about what he says when it comes to debt-free living. I might want to learn a
48:23little
48:23bit about what he says when it comes to building better relationships with money. Go ahead and head on
48:29over to laryngaines.com. Sign up for that 30-minute consultation. Yes, I moved it from 15 minutes to 30
