00:17You may not like his opinions or anything else.

00:21And I always make him say, I don't hate the Browns every time.
00:24Because he has had a lot of pretty harsh stuff on the Browns over the years.
00:28He's plugged in, man.
00:29So the key points from his story this week, I'm going to give you a couple of them here in
00:33the last 30.
00:34I'll give you one in the last 30 seconds.
00:35He talked about Deshaun Watson.
00:37He said, and we've kind of said this before, but he said, one NFL general manager told me he, meaning
00:43Deshaun Watson, doesn't want to be there.
00:46He never wanted to be there.
00:49That's just one of the things that are in his story today.
00:54So we're going to talk about Jason Lockham for a story.
00:56And it's just, it's not good.
00:59Folks, I like, it just, when you read stuff like this, and I think some of the points are crawling
01:05around in your mind already, wondering what it's really like over in Berea, and what's going on, and what's the
01:12quarterback situation really, and what are we waiting for, and why are we not seeing Shadour at this point?
01:17And, you know, does he want to play here?
01:19Does he, you know, and Deshaun, you know, ripping the fans after the second game, and then everything else that
01:24went sideways with Deshaun.
01:25It all seems to be leading to, you know, what his headline was.
01:30And the headline on his story was, NFL insider Jason Lockham for a, expect Shadour Sanders to start in week
01:37three.
01:37That would be next week at home, in the home opener.
01:40Please.
01:41And I think there's a lot of, you know, fans are itching for that, and they would love that.
01:46Let's see what he does this week.
01:47But if you read Lockham for a story, you're like, what?
01:53So, you know, I gave you the one quote before we went to break.
01:56He said, one NFL GM told me he, Watson, doesn't want to be there.
02:00He never wanted to be here.
02:02Well, we talked about that yesterday when, you know, he had initially told the team, no.
02:06Yep.
02:07I don't want to play here.
02:08And then the team was like, well, here's $230 million guaranteed, first time ever.
02:11And he was like, did I say no?
02:13Was I saying no?
02:14No, I meant yes.
02:15I mean, Jarvis Landry told the story with Leonard Fournette and her podcast, and I'd heard it a couple other
02:19places as well,
02:20that they were on the phone, and Deshaun Watson was saying to him on the phone, hey, I'm coming to
02:25Atlanta.
02:25I'm coming to Atlanta.
02:26I'm coming to Atlanta.
02:29And all of a sudden, it was like, hang on, I got to call on the other line.
02:33I'm not going to Atlanta anymore.
02:34And Jarvis was flat out on the golf course with Kyle Pitts at the same time saying, I'm coming to
02:39Atlanta.
02:40Come with me.
02:40That Jarvis was going to join him.
02:42At least that's how Jarvis tells it.
02:44All right.
02:44Another key point from Lockham Forest's story.
02:48A personnel executive close to the Browns, this is according to Jason Lockham Forest, said Haslam, meaning Jimmy, Haslam, wants
02:57Arch Manning.
02:58That's what this is really all about.
03:00All right.
03:00Well, I'm okay with that.
03:01I mean, why would you?
03:04So I have no problem with Haslam wanting Arch Manning somewhere down the road.
03:10Why not?
03:10He's got deep ties to the family through Tennessee.
03:13And, you know, if Arch Manning is who he wants, I think there are plenty of people out there that
03:18will tell you that Arch Manning is worth a high first-round draft pick next year in the NFL draft.
03:23So I don't think that that's earth-shattering for him to say that.
03:27And I think we've talked about this all along the line.
03:30Now, I mean, if you read stories, they're like, yeah, we've been friends for a while.
03:33And, you know, the Haslam's give a lot of money to Tennessee.
03:39The only thing I have with it is that I would like this offseason, or I shouldn't say offseason, this
03:46season to play out before we all slam the table and say, I want Arch Manning.
03:50I want to watch the full college football season.
03:52I want to see all of these guys because I want to take the best player.
03:56I don't want to take the best name.
03:59And so that's my fear with this is if he's going in and he's saying, I want Arch Manning, I
04:03want Arch Manning because I know Peyton and I love Peyton and I love the family and all that kind
04:07of stuff.
04:08If Arch, if let's say you're sitting there at 1-1, which who knows if they will, who knows not.
04:13I'm just, let's say that's the case.
04:15I want to make sure the best player is the one who is coming to the Cleveland Browns and not
04:21the best name.
04:22Because, frankly, I don't care about jersey sales.
04:24I just want to win.
04:26Now, I'm with you, too.
04:27I also think it may not be as slam dunk as you want.
04:31Let's say the Browns do end up with the number one overall pick, right?
04:34Yeah, like I don't.
04:35And they say they want Arch Manning.
04:37Well, does anyone remember when there was a number one overall pick that was, his last name was Manning and
04:43it was his uncle?
04:44And the Chargers drafted him and then had to trade him to the Giants?
04:48They made the selection at the draft?
04:50I mean, Eli kind of forced his way to New York.
04:54Look, he did.
04:56I don't know if the Browns are that bad.
04:59I don't think this situation is as bad as that Chargers situation was.
05:03Well, then let me give you the next quote from the story.
05:06Put it this way.
05:07There's more talent on this roster than there was on that Chargers roster.
05:10That's true.

05:11But, you know, they ended up getting Phillip Rivers and that wasn't such a bad deal either.

05:14That's not a bad consolation prize.
05:16You know, here's the next quote from that story.

05:19The guys in that locker room aren't stupid.
05:22They can see what's going on there.
05:24One agent who was close to a client on the Browns.
05:28Again, I would rather see, like, I would love it if Jason just gave out names, but I know why
05:32Jason's got to do what he's got to do on some of this stuff.
05:34So that's the most concerning comment of the entire piece to me, is that everybody knows what's taking place is
05:43not what should be.
05:46That, to me, is like, it's week two.
05:49And we already have an agent who's close to a client on the Browns saying that the guys in that
05:55locker room aren't stupid.
05:56They can see through what's going on there.
05:57Also in the piece, it says, league sources, Watson is calling their bluff.
06:04He doesn't want to be there.
06:06He never wanted to be there again.
06:06That's what the GM told me, according to this.
06:10And then that GM went on to say he'll keep playing, like, stuff.
06:15Yeah, that's right.
06:16Stuff.
06:17Stuff.
06:18To see how fast they'll pull him.
06:20He's calling their bluff.
06:22Okay, first, do you think Deshaun Watson is purposely tanking, to prove a point?
06:29I don't think that's the case.
06:30I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense, unless he's planning on retiring.

06:33Unless he is going to retire.
06:35I do believe, while, yes, he has been properly compensated, I do believe he wants to continue to have a
06:40football career.
06:41I think he would like to play in the NFL after this contract is over.
06:46So, that one, I'm sitting there and going, like, okay, I don't think he's purposely trying to tank anything or
06:51call the bluff or anything like that.
06:53If you didn't want to be here, you would have figured out a renegotiation to not be here.
07:01So, there's something else that is clearly going on.
07:04Because I don't think he's purposely tanking.
07:07I think we could flush that idea.
07:09Now, is he just flat out not good anymore because he processes slow and his arm isn't that strong and
07:13he can't run like he used to?

07:17Well, I think the other part of this, too, was the fact that they signed Jimmy Horn Jr. to the

07:23Do you buy that as the windy thing?
07:27Because I saw a bunch of people doing the windy fingers on that one when they signed Jimmy Horn Jr.
07:32You know what I'm talking about with Brian Winhurst when he laid back in the chair and he kind of

07:36I started going on the diatribe about the Utah Jazz essentially hinting that they were about to, you know, tear
07:42the whole thing down to the studs.
07:44Do you think that's one of those where watch the ripple effect?
07:48No, I think they, I mean, I don't think it's a bad move.
07:51I mean, he's a guy that, I mean, was drafted in the NFL.

07:56Yeah, if you think, the question is, is did you sign him because you think Shadour is going to be
