00:17You got guys who got bumps and bruises.
00:19I think they know that they have to preserve the talent that they have because they are in a transitional
00:25period as an organization.
00:27So they have to make sure that the guys that they got are who are really, really, really good, like
00:32Denzel Ward, et cetera, et cetera.
00:33Like Casey Concepcion, who has plenty of potential for this football team, him and Denzel Boston, that they're going to
00:39be upright and all right.
00:40I mean, it's a it's a collision sport.

00:42Hate to say it, but it's true.
00:43But I think they're doing what they can to preserve the talent that they have.
00:46We'll see if that works out, you know, because we've had organizational conversations about toughness, this, that and the other.

01:33But the difference here is he's done it for 13 years, and, you know, he has continued to expand.
01:40And the names, from what I've heard, the names of those anonymous people have gotten even more,
01:48or they have even more credibility than ever before, basically is what he said,
01:51because they value what he's doing.
01:52They like to see this kind of thing.
01:54And so I would agree if it was just me attacking Shidor with anonymous,
01:59and I heard yesterday that, but then that would have no credibility behind it.
02:03You would say, well, you have an axe to grind.
02:04Like, Sando, they keep talking to him because they know that there's credibility there.
02:08But I'm glad he brought this up.
02:10This is why I'm glad the person listening brought this up,
02:11because, you know, you go to the top of the tiers where Patrick Mahomes is,
02:15and then you go down, because nobody really has anything bad to say anything about Patrick Mahomes.
02:18But you go down to number two, there is a criticism of Josh Allen.
02:23And, quote, Josh, with under 30 seconds left in the half,
02:27runs for a meaningless 12-yard gain and fumbles and gives up a field goal in playoff games
02:30to go behind two scores against Denver, this coach said.
02:33Until he quits doing that, you can't rank him as a top quarterback.
02:35This is one of the worst plays I've ever seen.
02:37Costs them the game.
02:39And that's criticism.
02:40I mean, that's some Johnny Miller-style criticism right there.

02:44A current coach is not going to say something like that on the record.
02:47No, because it's billboard material.

02:50But there is criticism there, and it does make it easier if they say,

02:59But I think when it's an us-against-the-world mentality for Shudor Sanders,
03:05it really is the world of the NFL that seems to be like,
03:08hey, you're getting your one crack at it, and if you can't pick it up there,

03:12And he's got as good a shot as anybody would ever because, I'm sorry,
03:17what I thought that on Monday I thought Deshaun Watson was fine.
03:23I must be missing because I wasn't able to make it yesterday.

03:27And apparently he was just terrible.

03:32A lot of people ripped him up and down to the point, it's like, hey, man,
03:36if he's never ever going to get back to this memory of what people have
03:40of a competent quarterback, yeah, just start Shudor.
03:43I want Shudor to play, and I want Shudor to play well.
03:46But part of it is I am curious to see whether or not who's right and who's wrong.
03:50Whether or not it is this 1%, I mean, quite literally here on this survey,
03:56the 1% of regular fans that are polled here outside of the tiers that believe
04:04he's a tier one quarterback, 1%, 70% say he's tier five, 70, 70%, and then 24.
04:11I mean, that's the bulk of the series, man.
04:1324% or 26% say that he is a tier four quarterback.

04:20So you have these huge amounts of people that believe he can't do it,
04:26and there's curiosity to whether or not he can.
04:28How does this guy go from elevating one of the worst programs in college football
04:33to respectability, because that's where they were.

04:37And then how does it go from that to a complete drop-off?
04:40And according to the NFL, like, no, this is your one chance you can't do it.
04:44Like, I got to see it.
04:45Like, I know what I'm getting out of Deshaun Watson,
04:47and that's just bad memories and empty promises.
04:50For Shador, listen, I know that there are people out there
04:54that want to take everything personally, and that's fine.
04:56I think I've made it abundantly clear how much I want to see him,
04:59how much of a fan I've been of his dad's.
05:01Like, I want to see this.
05:02And I just want to see it mostly because I want to see him do well.
05:06I want the Browns to stop having to look for quarterbacks.
05:08But then there's also the curiosity to it.
05:10But I can't rip up my 2027 draft plans because of Shador Sanders.
05:15I'm not going to do it.
05:16I have to have the common sense around it.
05:18And this is what the rest of the league thinks.
05:20And when you have Deshaun Watson, who's ranked, what, 32nd?

05:26If you're beating Deshaun Watson out for the job, you ain't beating much, but it's a start.

06:02It's a franchise that in that locker room they are trying to win.

06:08So I'm going to be glass half full on it.

06:14And it needs to be for what the rest of the league thinks of him.
06:20And how he has an uphill battle with this team.
06:24Not with the team, but with this league.

06:27And where this is his place, man.
06:28This is his chance.

06:29This is the reminder through all of this is, okay, there's steps to take.
06:33There's always going to be steps to take.
06:34We said this with Baker all the time.
06:36The first step is winning this competition.
06:38And right now, I think he's winning it or Deshaun's losing it.

06:45Basically, everybody's been saying it's been pretty bad operationally for the offense so far.
06:50And there's a lot of context for that, Kenny.
06:53They've got really good defensive players over there.
06:54Yes, 100%.
06:55Halfway to a playoff team.
06:56Brand new offensive line.
06:58There's context.
06:59But guess what?
06:59Week one, Jacksonville doesn't care about your contacts.
07:01They don't care how bad your offensive line is.
07:03They don't care.
07:04They're going to line up and try to embarrass you.
07:05And you know what's going to happen or what they're going to really try to do in week two.
07:08And then the game and the stats, it's all going to go in the books.
07:10That all counts once the season starts.
07:13And all I'm saying is it's not going to be enough for Shador Sanders just to do the first thing,
07:19which is beat out Deshaun Watson by any means possible.
07:22That's not enough for them to not draft a quarterback next year.
07:25It has to be so much more.
07:27So I hope somebody tells Shador, he seems to be a guy that in the mold of Baker Mayfield
07:33and so many other athletes and competitive guys, that it is about, you know,
07:39take what everybody says about you.
07:41I know you say you don't pay attention to it, but if this motivates you, good.

07:46If it's anonymous people in the Mike Sandoe quarterback tiers, then do whatever it takes
07:51by any means necessary.
07:52Because right now, this is what the league thinks about you and your quarterback room.
07:57I wish I could go in a different direction, but you have to accept this as it's not fact.

08:04There's still a lot to see, but it is the opinion of a lot of people in the NFL
08:09that your quarterback room is not good and that if you do win the job,
08:13you're the guy with one leg and a no-legged ass-kicking competition.
08:18But he still has to start somewhere, and it's still with this organization,
08:22and he will have better wide receivers to throw to if he wins the job.
08:25And as of right now, I've got to tell you, and I know we've got people we want to get
08:29to
08:29and we've got this Angel Hanau news coming up because it either means something
08:33that's a relief or something horrific for the Cleveland Guardians,
08:37but I don't know as of right now how just observing and reading,
08:43even if you want to say the job is given up.
08:46As of August 5th, I don't know how you can't say Shador Sanders isn't in the lead here
08:50because the other guy is supposed to be a double.
08:53Has he been in the league 10 years almost?
