00:00Here's an interesting life hack to perfectly align the physical space of your cockpit with
00:04the virtual VR space in VR sim racing. It uses Aruko codes, which are square visual markers
00:11used in computer vision and robotics to track objects, find positions, and calculate camera
00:16angles. Two of these holders can be placed on top of the left and right monitors of your triple
00:21screen setup when you want to race in VR instead of the normal world. Not only the holder, but also
00:29the Aruko codes were 3D printed. The codes were scaled in the bamboo studio slicer to make them
00:35fit into the square slots of the holder. This model was scaled to 55% of the original size.
00:42You can use the measure tool to check the size of a square. They're now 39.6 by 39.6
00:48millimeters,
00:49so they will fit inside the 40 by 40 millimeter slots of the holder.
00:57Here you see the 3D printed Aruko codes, and here a holder, also 3D printed.
01:10It's time to put some glue on the slots. Hard PVC glue was used for this.
01:29Then put each Aruko code inside a slot. Make sure enough glue is used so that they don't fall off.
01:46A total of two holders with Aruko codes were made. One for each monitor. To download the files,
