01:34Patriots in Seattle take on the Seahawks opening night. 12th man going to be rocking and rolling.
01:39Seahawks celebrate the second championship in franchise history. Raise a banner. Those fans are amazing.
01:45They look to start their title defense with a win against a team that they absolutely destroyed and
01:51beat down in Santa Clara back in February and honestly I don't know how the Patriots find a way to
01:59change the outcome in the ball game tonight. Seattle won the Super Bowl. Seattle was not a fluke. Seattle is
02:08loaded. Seattle is going to have all sorts of joy, jubilation, buzz, great vibes on the heels of this
02:17and winning a championship and the confetti falling and everything that goes into the mix and into the
02:24conversation and Sam Darnold's obviously going to have another outstanding season. I'm a big fan of Sam
02:30Darnold. The beginning of his career he got ruined by the Jets and at the end of the day needed
02:37that
02:37year with Kyle Shanahan to appreciate the finer things about being a quarterback. The last two years
02:43go back to Minnesota. Last year winning a championship. This is what I expected from Sam Darnold's out of
02:50the US a lifetime ago before the draft in 2018. So I think that Darnold has a great home. I
02:58think
02:58Jackson Smith and Jigba going to have an unbelievable night tonight just like he did against the New
03:04England Patriots in the Super Bowl. I think Darnold is going to dominate. I think that JSN is going to
03:10dominate. I think Mike McDonald's defense is fantastic. The energy that they play with on defense is
03:17incredible. McDonald's going to make sure that his team is ready to rock and roll and I just love
03:23everything about this. Now of course Drake May on the other side we understand what he brings to the
03:29table with his unbelievable talent and he was number two on my list for MVP last year and he's got
03:36a
03:36shiny new toy and weapon with A.J. Brown and I think A.J. Brown is going to have a
03:41monster game great
03:41debut. I think he's going to be absolutely fantastic tonight fantastic this season. Obviously when you
03:48think about Mike Vrabel you think about the defense you think about obviously a well coached buttoned up
03:54team in terms of you know just understanding how to win tight games how to win close games
03:59Christian Gonzalez got paid so Vrabel and Elliott Wolfe and Bob Kraft take care of that before the season
04:07starts. Gonzalez is now the highest paid corner in the NFL moves ahead of Witherspoon from the Seattle
04:14Seahawks who was the highest paid corner in the NFL so they obviously and they have the same agent by
04:19the
04:19way little one ups man in terms of the contract and then the play on the field tonight and I
04:25expect
04:26this game to be absolutely tremendous and absolutely terrific and I think the Seahawks are going to end up
04:32winning I think they're going to end up winning by seven to ten points this is not one of those
04:37games
04:37where you look at it and say I needed to see a Super Bowl rematch here in any way shape
04:41or form
04:42I think the Patriots if you look at their schedule going to start Owen for like I think the Patriots
04:47are going to have with that offensive line a miserable start to the season they have Seattle in Seattle
04:54loss Pittsburgh at home loss Jacksonville Jacksonville Jacksonville is better that's a loss
05:00and they're not beating the bills in lovely Western New York it's not going to happen so I'm thrilled
05:06that football is back I am amped about this season feels like if you look at the Seahawks schedule that
05:13you know people are kind of sleeping on Seattle I think the Seahawks are going to be a strong team
05:19they did have some defections lost Clint Kubiak their offensive coordinator he's now the new head
05:24coach of the Raiders but I think that you're going to see Seattle get off to a brilliant start
05:29New England Arizona Washington Chargers 49ers and the Chargers and 49ers those games are in the great
05:36Northwest in front of those amazing fans I expect them to be able to win all of those games Denver
05:42will
05:43be tough but getting the Chiefs at home that's a win you know I love the Bears that's a win
05:48I think
05:49Seattle is going to be terrific and tremendous ho I'm so amped that football is back I'm so amped that
05:56the season starts tonight I'm so fired up that we get to see the Seahawks get all this kind of
06:02attention but nobody wanted to see Patriots Seahawks in an extension of that Super Bowl on opening night
06:10and I think we're going to see as much as I love the A.J. Brown pickup mirror image of
06:16what
06:17transpired on Super Bowl Sunday I think we're going to get a monster game from Sam Darnold monster game
06:23from our guy Jackson Smith and Jigba and I can't wait to see that banner go up tonight in the

06:29Northwest I'm going to give you my betting picks for tonight's opener in a little bit but first
06:34Robert Sala insists he holds no grudges against the Jets out of his week one showdown as the new
06:40head coach of the Titans the Jets should have a grudge I'm going to tell you why it's a must

06:46next on Shine Time one of the most underrated fascinating games on a great banger of a week
06:54one NFL slate the Robert Sala revenge game with the Jets traveling to Nashville to face their former
07:00coach he of course is now the head man of the Tennessee Titans so the question is who is seeking
07:05revenge on who I've said it before and I'm not I don't BS when I say it or I'm you
07:11know like
07:11uh New York is still a special place uh gave me my first opportunity as a head coach um our
07:18desire
07:18to win week one is uh beat the Jets is because it's week one and nothing more uh um I'm
07:25forever
07:26grateful for all the opportunity they gave I don't hold I don't hold grudges really under the radar team
07:31I think um they've got a chance to be pretty good I think because it's Aaron Glenn coming off of
07:39an
07:39atrocious season first year for Glenn as the head coach of the Jets and he replaced Robert Sala and Sala
07:46was awful coaching the Jets didn't do anything right his in-game management's clock management's how
07:54he handled the press quarterbacks achievement overachievement went to throw a challenge flag
07:59Robert Sala was terrible as the head coach of the Jets and the fact that he's now coaching the
08:05Titans you hope if you're a Titans fan he learned I'm surprised he got a second bite at the apple
08:12honestly seriously he was that bad in New York Aaron Glenn somehow was worse which is why I think
08:19week one for Aaron Glenn is a must win and I know how that sounds but week one for the
08:25Jets and Aaron
08:26Glenn most especially going up against my going up against Robert Sala is a must win you have to win
08:35that game if you can't win this game then all the hopes that I have for the Jets they're in
08:40the
08:40toilet I love this back page of the New York Post let there be flight because I think that Garrett
08:46Wilson and Brees Hall are going to be dynamite like I think both these guys Wilson at receiver Hall at
08:52running back I really think when it's all said and done these guys are going to be top 10 at
08:57their
08:57positions and I think going up against a defense that has no talent no teeth I expect them to dominate
09:05on Sunday I expect Geno Smith to have a smashing debut in 2026 second go around now with the Jets
09:13Jets offensive line is good I like the weapons at the skilled position I firmly believe the Titans had a
09:21miserable camp miserable offseason and it's there you look at the Jets schedule I count seven to nine
09:29wins I said the Jets will start two and oh beat Tennessee and then have the ability to beat the
09:36Green Bay Packers at home we're not going to have Josh Jacobs or Micah Parsons you can't go two and
09:42oh
09:42if you don't start one and oh so let's go and I'm of the opinion that Aaron Glenn learned something
09:48based upon how atrocious last year was and Muji did an excellent job giving him the requisite
09:54talented the Mario Davis move I loved tangibles intangibles leadership all of it we refuse to lower
10:04the bar when it comes to Jets football I think the Jets should be an entertaining fun to watch team
10:11this year seriously I firmly believe that it must start week one in a winnable game against your
10:20former head coach who did nothing right when he was coaching the Jets going to Tennessee and beat the
10:27Titans I could argue facing off against a Falcons team led by Tua Tungavailoa qualifies a must win
10:33for the Steelers in week one but that's not what I spoke with Aaron Rodgers about on my SiriusXM show
10:40on Tuesday my focus was on the bigger picture and if Rodgers thinks a deep playoff run for Pittsburgh
10:46is possible in its final season I count 11 teams that I bet in their building they think their team
10:56can make a run to championship Sunday I feel like people on the outside are sleeping on Pittsburgh
11:03do you put your Steelers in that mix of that 8 to 12 teams that can make a run to
11:10championship Sunday
11:11in the Super Bowl yeah of course of course I mean that's why I came back because I believe in
11:16the
11:16guys I like that Graham has done on defense you know we added added a few guys I think it'll
11:22impact
11:23players for us we added uh Jaquan Brisker safety who was in Chicago we added Jamel Bean who's a veteran
11:30been in Tampa for a long time we added Sebastian Joseph Day who's a great rotational interior
11:36delinement and and I like the way that we drafted too you know we got some good value out of
11:40uh some some of our later round picks listen the spot with Aaron Rodgers 30 minutes of gold on my
11:48Sirius XM radio show on Channel Sports this week was absolutely terrific on so many different levels
11:55but specifically for this season listen I love this and when I asked Rodgers about Pittsburgh this
12:03season if you noticed I know that you did first thing you did was talk about the defense and talk
12:08about Patrick Graham and talk about the new players on that side of the football and I agree with him
12:13and I also think that TJ Watt is going to get back to form and resemble the TJ Watt that
12:19we saw in prior
12:20years where he was a force a factor one of the best players in the National Football League regardless of
12:27position I think the Steelers defense is going to be really good I think the Steelers offense is going
12:32to be great I think that this is going to be a well coached team I think Mike McCarthy's fantastic
12:37right guy right time they haven't won a playoff game since Mike Tomlin and the Steelers beat Alex Smith
12:45and the Chiefs that's Prima Holmes that's a lifetime ago so yes I'm with Rodgers and I've said as much
12:54here on shy time I have three teams from that division the Bengals Ravens and the Steelers all making the
13:00playoffs I think that Rodgers loves the weapons he has at his disposal loves being back with Mike
13:07McCarthy obviously won a Super Bowl together won MVPs together in Green Bay and I think the
13:14Pittsburgh Steelers will absolutely not only make the playoffs they will have the ability to win a
13:20playoff game and make a run I think Rodgers has a ton of gas left in the tank I can't
13:26wait to watch it
13:27this season the Steelers arch rival the Baltimore Ravens have a lot of new heading into this season
13:33among them the head coach Jesse Minter the offensive coordinator Declan Doyle so what is the offense
13:39going to look like with Lamar Jackson having a new offensive coordinator what should Ravens fans
13:46expect from this offense man I can't call it what this offense is everywhere there's a lot of moving
13:53parts with our offense man there's guys flying around uh it's like it's I don't want to say it's
13:59like a one-trick point because it's far from that you know it's everything everything you need in the
14:02offense play action you know drop back uh run game it's like everything you want in the offensive
14:07system and like coaches like I just said with coach Jesse the attention to detail he's overly like
14:14preaching that you know he won't ever got to know what everyone's doing basically with the offense so
14:17it's just making everyone's job a lot easier and I just can't wait to showcase it oh man I mean
14:23if
14:23I'm a Ravens fan I'm getting the chills so elaborate on that when you start talking about showcasing it
14:31what what is this offense going to look like in terms of those explosive plays like you you're a
14:38two-time MVP how is it going to take your game your name to a different level I can't call
14:44it you know
14:44until we're out there on the field but like from practice just the insight of practice and what
14:48I've been saying on film it was like man I don't believe a defense is prepared for what they're
14:53what's in store for us or what's in store for them
14:58Doyle obviously is a well-respected young offensive mind worked with Ben Johnson in Chicago
15:03and when I had Lamar Jackson on my Sirius XM radio show he raved about it and
15:08at the end of the day can't wait to showcase the Baltimore offense
15:12defense these defense is going to have no idea what's in store I love when he dropped that bar
15:17on us absolutely incredible Jackson was not a hundred percent physically last year so you saw his
15:23the sack total was the worst it's ever been in terms of getting sacked the most in a season in
15:30his career the rushing yards were at an all-time low for Lamar listen this is a three-time
15:36ball player in terms of being a first-team all-pro quarterback two-time NFL MVP and he sounded so
15:44energized by the ability to just thrive in Declan Doyle's offense and he thinks Derrick Henry is going to
15:53push 2,000 yards he's ecstatic about Dave Flowers ecstatic about Jacoby Lane I think that the pressure
16:00of this offense how multiple it's going to be the RPOs he'll be on their center being the shotgun the
16:07balance on offense the creativity from Doyle calling plays defense is having no idea what's in store
16:14just amazing and yeah he can't wait to showcase it not hyperbole to believe this is going to be the
16:21best year on offense and Lamar Jackson's already Hall of Fame career by the way needs a new contract at
16:29some point at the end of the year I'm sure that that's part of his you know focus as well
16:34in
16:34terms of play well he's going to get paid going to get the bag I think every single defense is
16:40going
16:40to have to be on their heels in terms of Jackson what he's going to bring to the table and
16:45I think
16:46you're going to see a dynamite season from Lamar as a runner as a thrower he's super intelligent he's
16:53super passionate and he is locked in I have the privilege of interviewing Jackson every year
16:59of his career before the season starts this was the most amped I've ever heard Lamar Jackson before
17:06an NFL season I think he's about to put the NFL on notice up next it's time for the first
