Now it's time for the Subway Road Race.

The big six were there. Alex Ekesa, Tafari Waldron, Stephen Gould, Darius Harding, Alexia John, Nyla Kerr.

Sounds exciting! So who won?

That race was on Sunday and we are still waiting to find out. Over 1300 runners competed and by now everyone has finished so where are the results?
Transcript
00:00There were two races on the card, the 6km and the 12km race.
00:05The 12k went off first at the Larigome Stadium.
00:08It featured a total of 398 runners.
00:11The 6k had a total of 986 participants.
00:15Apart from a late start, the runoff felt smooth in cool conditions with a downpour 2 miles in.
00:21There was a rhythm section along the way in the race village and adequate water stops, but that was not
00:28the problem.
00:28Runners found themselves confused at points where there were no race marshals or the race marshals had no clue where
00:36to direct runners.
01:05It would have mystified even the marshals who found it difficult to differentiate between those running the 6km and the
01:1312km because both merged on the same route to the finish line.
01:16It resulted in a significant number of the front runners running a short course.
01:22Meantime, other runners made extra laps not knowing where to turn for the conclusion of the race.
01:27Well, it's the first time I do subways on this new course and I'm totally disappointed with the course.
01:34The marshals and them were accurate at some point in time, but a couple of the marshals sent us off
01:40course.
01:40And coming home to finish, when you're thinking you're sprinting to finish, because you still had to go up, turn
01:46and come back down.
01:47No marshals at that point to tell us that we had to go up and turn.
01:51So it was total, from my years are running, the experience is nice along the course, but too much are
01:57up the clue.
01:58So we need to work on that and correct that for the future for subway to continue.
02:03As a result, organizers of the competition took a decision not to announce any awards on the day.
02:09They indicated that during the event, unforeseen technical and logistical challenges along the route caused course disruptions affecting both distances.
02:19They stated, quote,
02:21The organizing committee, in close collaboration with the technical timing team, is conducting an exhaustive review to reconcile race splits,
02:30participant logs, and course verification data.
02:34Consequently, official race results are temporarily delayed. End quote.
02:40Apart from the awards, which includes an all-inclusive trip to Panama,
02:43runners were also not pleased that their times were affected as they calculate their efforts for other races in the
02:50year.
02:51Still, participating in the second edition of the subway road race was enough for the loyal runners.
02:58Yeah, it was real good. The race was, the course was nice and clear, and it was early morning race,
03:02so it was nice and cool.
03:03All right. Now, what time did you get it?
03:05Uh, one hour, seven minutes.
03:09All right. Now, what distance you run today?
03:1112K.
03:11He, too, will still need to wait, as organizers scratch their heads trying to figure out who won the respective
03:17races
03:17and how they will decide the remaining positions.
