00:00Welcome back to sports everybody. The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force could not complete victory on day four of their
00:06regional four-day match against the Leeward Islands. Casey Conte and Justin Graves struck centuries to force a draw in
00:12this encounter, eventually getting to 467 for seven. The result is still a good one for TNT, who will now
00:19meet Barbados in the semi-final of the competition.
00:24Leeward's resuming on 164-4, trailing by 17 runs, aiming to bat long enough to prevent defeat. Casey Carty also
00:32hoping to carry on his form, and that he did.
00:35Casey Carty, celebrating, and let's see what his celebration is.
00:40On 271, he gave it away against the carry pair. The Red Force taking their fifth wicket.
00:47Cathy goes for 147. Cameron Pennyfeather made a 20 before his stumps were castled by Joshua James.
00:55Justin Graves continued to soldier on, and he brought up his century as well.
00:59This may be it. Knocked down by the bowler. It goes into the boundary. The 100 comes up for Justin
01:07Graves, his sixth first-class 100. And no dive could have stopped that.
01:13He would go on to make 122 before he, too, was bowled by Anderson Phillip, who grabbed another four-for.
01:21A total of eight wickets in the match, 355 for seven.
01:26Rakeem Cornwall and Jamar Hamilton put the Leewards in a position of safety. Hamilton making 50, and Cornwall 66.
01:34They reached 467 for seven when the match was called a draw.
01:39The result means TNT will face Barbados in the semifinals.
01:44Sergio Dufour, TV6 Sport.
01:46And speaking after the match, captain of the TNT Red Force, Joshua De Silva, was not overly critical of his
01:52bowlers for not being able to bowl out the opposition.
01:56Yeah, it's always good to play four days of cricket. It's really tough. It helps you for the future and
02:03for the test cricket as well, because, you know, you'll have to come back the next day.
02:05So it's good. Some of these guys, we don't play much four days. A lot of games finish in three,
02:09three and a little bit of days.
02:10So it's good. I know the boys have a lot of miles in their legs, especially me. I've been on
02:14the field for four days, basically.
02:16And then we did 150-plus overs straight, putting their mark into bat.
02:19So, yeah, the result is what the result is. I don't think much more we could have done to get
02:24those wickets.
02:25The wicket was a pretty good one. So, yeah, we just did what we could.
02:30Expecting a tough challenge against Barbados.
02:33Still in good spirits. We're playing great cricket. Yeah, they were gelling very well.
02:37So not changing too much. I think we just go back home. We have a week at home.
02:41Go and get in some training there and then come back here on Thursday next weekend and prepare for that
02:45semifinal.
02:46It's going to be a tough fixture, Barbados. Normally have a good team and they've been playing some pretty good
02:50cricket bouncing back from their first defeat in the first game against Jamaica.
02:53So, yeah, it'll be good.
02:55In the other match, Guyana Harpy Eagles defeated the Windward Islands by 93 runs, resuming on 17 for one.
03:01The Windwards were dismissed for 225.
03:04Alec Athanay stopped scored with 64, while Gudakesh Moti took four wickets.
03:08The win means Guyana will advance directly to the final.
