00:00All right, man, this mess going on in Ann Arbor is absolutely what college football needed for water cooler talk
00:07going into this weekend.
00:09One of the greatest things that you could possibly have is controversy.
00:14This is what makes football great, both at the college and now at the pro level as well.
00:19That stuff going on up in Ann Arbor with Western Michigan and Michigan at the end of the ballgame.
00:25Folks, let's be candid here.
00:27You really think the Mac is going to kick up their heels and make any kind of issue whatsoever when
00:35it comes to calling out that game for this infamous clock that the Big Ten says it has.
00:41Guys, let's do this for money reasons here.
00:44This convo, the Mac relies on the Big Ten scheduling their teams.
00:51$1.55 million went to Western Michigan.
00:56You think they cared they got screwed over?
01:00Let's go here next year.
01:02You know who Michigan has on their schedule next year?
01:06Eastern Michigan.
01:07They are going to continue to schedule the Mac schools because the Mac and the Big Ten have a long
01:15understanding that they are going to use their conference to have out-of-schedule conferences, games, and conference games for
01:23the Mac.
01:23Guys, this is behind-the-scenes stuff that's going on with Michigan.
01:29Sure, and there is no question, the integrity of the sport was online with that call at the end of
01:36the game.
01:36It really kind of shows me a little bit more about Michigan, too.
01:40With all the scandals that they've had over the last four years, they're going to really try to talk about
01:45integrity.
01:46How about this here, too?
01:47Let's talk about something that they did this offseason.
01:50Remember when Michigan was kicking their heels up about the Brendan Sorsby story and wanting to, what was it, quote,
01:57the integrity of the game?
01:59Really?
02:00The integrity of the game.
02:02Now, look, I love the hire of Kyle Winningham, who's a friend of the program and has been on this
02:07program.
02:08And we love him, and I think that's a great hire.
02:11And I do think that Kyle Winningham is going to turn Michigan around.
02:15Kyle even addressed the fact what happened on that play.
02:19And here's Coach Winningham's comments that he made on that play there in Ann Arbor at the Big House.
02:25Well, yeah, obviously the extra second was huge.
02:28As I watched the first Hail Mary end and the ball sailed out of the back of the end zone,
02:34as I glanced at the clock, I was pretty sure there was one second left, but that obviously is not
02:39up to me.
02:40But as the refs went to replay, they confirmed it.
02:42And so it gave us one more opportunity, and that second time around, Bryce threw a perfect ball
02:49because the first one he sailed it out the back, which gives us no chance to catch it.
02:53And J.J. made a phenomenal catch.
02:55Doesn't surprise me.
02:55That's who he is.
02:56I see him make contested catches every day in practice.
03:00And offensive line gave Bryce enough time to launch it.
03:03And so this game will go down in history, Michigan history.
03:06I don't know if it's in a positive way, but it'll go down in history for certain.
03:09Look, I love Kyle Winningham, but at the end of the day here, that infamous second.
03:14Oh, and by the way, how many times do you see referees stop the game to make sure that the
03:21stadium clocks are in line with the on-field referees?
03:25The clock in the stadium is the official time.
03:29That's why they match it up.
03:32Now all of a sudden, they have some secret clock in the Big Ten, and there's a clock that nobody
03:38sees.
03:38So let me get this right.
03:39Networks, they end up misleading their fans during broadcast of Big Ten games because there's another infamous clock.
03:48Everyone knows that this was not a right call and that Michigan ended up getting the benefit of the doubt
03:55because they're Michigan.
03:56Well, we'll see what happens when they have to go and play Oklahoma this week.
04:01That's going to be one whale of a scenario, but I'll tell you what, once again, water cooler talk.
04:06That's what makes college football the best.
