What biblical year is it? The Jews call the year that runs from sunset 11 September 2026 through sunset 1 October 2027 the year 5787. Supposedly that goes back to Genesis 1. Yet, Jewish scholars admit that the count most Jews use, which is in something called the 'Seder Olam Rabbah' is off by 164 or 165 years. Jewish tradition also teaches that the Messiah will come at the end of 6,000 years. Rabbi Mendel Kessin says that will be in the year 2240. But is that right, since Jewish scholars realize that the chronology in the 'Seder Olam Rabbah' does not agree with records of history? What if the 6,000 years ends over two centuries earlier? Did God have the Jewish Rabbi Akiva and others deliberately change the date chronology in the 2nd century A.D.? Or perhaps, as some have suggested, they changed the Jewish chronology because prophecies in the 9th chapter of the Book of Daniel pointed to Jesus being the Messiah and they did not want people to look to him, but instead to Simon Bar Kochba? Did that result in the death of over one million Jews? The Apostles Peter and Paul pointed to Jesus being around in the "last days." If that was near the end of day 4 of 6 one thousand year day or the beginning of the 5th of those days, when would we expect the 6000 years to end, and Jesus to possibly occur, such as in 2031 or by 2035? Based on scriptures in the Old and New Testaments, as well as historical records, might it now be the year 5991 or even 5995? If Jesus was resurrected between A.D. 31-35, would that point to His return by 2035 if there is a 6,000 year plan? Dr. Thiel addresses these points in this video.

00:04Greetings friends around the world. This is Dr. Bob Teal for the Bible News Prophecy program.
00:09What year is it? I don't mean the Roman calendar year. I'd kind of like to know how many years
00:15has
00:15it been since God kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. Every year at the Feast of
00:23Trumpets, which the Jews renamed Rosh Hashanah, you may hear a Jewish year. It's supposed to tie in
00:30back to the book of Genesis. And the year that runs from sunset September 11th, 2026, through sunset
00:39October 1st, 2027, they claim is the year 5,787. But is that right? And does this cause issues?
00:50I'm going to get into that. First, I'd like to read something that was in Israel 365 News last
00:58week. The Talmud says the world will exist for 6,000 years before it's transformed entirely by
01:05the final redemption. According to the framework laid out by Rabbi Mendel Kissen, the totality of
01:13the project will last 6,000 years. Six days of creation where you could do work and therefore
01:20process will last 6,000 years. Which ends, by the way, in the year 2,240. So that's over
01:28two centuries away. Which makes people think they've got all kinds of time. But is that right?
01:34Well, the Jews based their chronology on something called the Seder Olam. It's an ancient document.
01:42But the Jews know there are issues with it. For example, the Jewish Encyclopedia of 1906 says
01:50it has information which, contrary to historical facts, a Jewish scientist named Saul Kulik in
01:592018 said that the Seder Olam was out of sync with modern historical records. It introduces a difference
02:09of 164 years. And many other Jewish scholars have issues with this. The one that I want to talk about
02:19is a Rabbi Simon Schwab. And he said, he wrote, the gravity of the intellectual dilemma posed by such
02:27enormous discrepancies must not be understated. There's an enormous discrepancy between sacred
02:35tradition and secular data, which at first glance would appear to frustrate any hope of a possible
02:44comparative chronology acceptable to Orthodox Jews and secular historians alike.
02:52So the question he says is, do we trust the superior wisdom of our inspired teachers of the Torah
02:59who arrived at absolute truth and categorically reject absolutely the right of any secular scientists
03:06to be right on history? By the way, he did not say the Bible. He's talking about the opinions of
03:13their
03:13scholars. Okay, that's very important. Schwab also admitted there seems to be yet one other avenue
03:21that it should have been possible that our sages for an unknown reason had covered up
03:25a certain historical period and purposely eliminated
03:29and suppressed all records pertaining so.
03:33What would be the compelling reason to do this?
03:35Nothing short of divine command could have prompted
03:38our saintly men of truth to leave out completely
03:42from our annals a period of 165 years.
03:47Now, Rabbi Schwab later said, oh, that maybe wasn't a divine command.
03:53Now, I'm wondering something from a non-Jewish source who looked at Schwab's and other information.
03:59It said, the shortening as perpetuated in the Seder Olam was deliberate.
04:05And Jewish scholars present day know this.
04:10Commentators further suggest the reason why
04:12the sages changed this in the 2nd century
04:15was to involving falsifying data to confuse anyone
04:19who might try to use the prophecies in the book of Daniel
04:22to predict the time of the Messiah's coming.
04:26This supposedly was done to honor
04:29Daniel 12.4 that says,
04:31shut up these words and seal the book
04:33even to the time of the end.
04:34The reason the sages had adopted
04:36a non-Jewish calendar
04:39was part of a scheme to do just that,
04:42to close up the word
04:42and seal the book of Daniel.
04:45Rabbi Schwab also states
04:47165 years were included.
04:49It would reveal we are much closer
04:50to the end of the 6th millennium
04:52than we had thought.
04:54But can anyone
04:55accept such a flimsy reason
04:57for distorting history?
04:59It actually accuses God himself
05:00of deception,
05:02which of course is absurd.
05:06Now, there's an interesting prophecy.
05:08I'm going to go to the book of Amos.
05:11Amos chapter 2.
05:13I'm going to start reading verse 4.
05:16Thus says the Lord,
05:18for three transgressions of Judah
05:20and for four,
05:21I will not turn away his punishments
05:23because they despise the law of the Lord
05:26and have not kept his commandments.
05:28Their lies lead them astray.
05:32Lies which their fathers have followed.
05:35I will send a fire upon Judah
05:37and devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
05:41So, the word of God is warning
05:43that Jews will have false traditions
05:45and they shouldn't follow them
05:46or there will be punishments.
05:48Now, you might say,
05:49you just read that
05:49from a Protestant translation.
05:52Well, this part of verse 4
05:54from the Jewish Publication Society says,
05:57and their lies have caused them to err,
05:59after which their fathers did walk.
06:01Here's a quote from the complete Jewish Bible.
06:03Their lies caused them to fall into error
06:06and live the way of their ancestors.
06:08Many people have chosen
06:10to rely on lies,
06:11sometimes called tradition.
06:14And we need to accept the truth
06:17about the Messiah
06:18and not the lies.
06:22Now, what happened was,
06:25Jews didn't accept Jesus as Messiah.
06:27Jesus was killed and resurrected
06:29in the 30s AD.
06:32The prophecies in Daniel chapter 9
06:34pointed to Jesus
06:35coming at that time.
06:37The Jews did not accept him,
06:39even though they should.
06:41We have this documented
06:42in a free book called
06:43Proof Jesus is the Messiah.
06:44People can read it at ccog.org.
06:46A specific chapter just for the Jews,
06:48by the way,
06:49related to some of this.
06:51Anyway,
06:53they instead decided
06:56they wanted a different Messiah.
06:58So, a rabbi by the name of Akiva
07:01basically said
07:02a guy named Simon,
07:03who was renamed Simon Bar Coppa,
07:05was the prophesied Messiah.
07:06So, he changed the dates
07:08to try to point to him.
07:11Yet,
07:12his
07:13rising up
07:14was very different
07:15than Jesus's.
07:16Jesus himself was killed,
07:18and so was Simon Bar Coppa.
07:20But the difference is
07:20Simon Bar Coppa's situation,
07:22they
07:23revolted against
07:24the Romans.
07:25Romans did not like that.
07:27Romans killed
07:28reportedly about
07:29600,000 Jewish soldiers,
07:31and then another
07:321.2 million Jews
07:34supposedly died
07:35of famine
07:36and
07:36or
07:37pestilence.
07:38So,
07:39nearly 2 million people
07:42died
07:42because of this
07:44falsification
07:45to justify
07:47things that they
07:48should never try
07:48to justify.
07:49So, that's
07:50one of the
07:52many
07:52problems
07:54of relying on
07:54false tradition
07:55over the truth.
07:56Now, if you go to the
07:57book of Genesis
07:57chapter 5,
07:59it tells you how
08:00old Adam was
08:01when he begat
08:02his son.
08:03And you can read
08:04all these people
08:05begatting all these
08:06other people.
08:07And add all that up,
08:08it comes up to
08:091,656
08:10years.
08:12And if you go to
08:13Genesis chapter 11,
08:14it talks about
08:15other genealogies.
08:18When you combine
08:19this with
08:19what's in
08:21Galatians chapter
08:223.17,
08:23and when
08:24the
08:26Temple of
08:27Solomon
08:27was finished,
08:29this suggests
08:30that Adam
08:31could have been
08:32created
08:32around
08:343983 B.C.
08:35But the problem
08:36with that
08:37is it's based on
08:38a bunch of
08:38assumptions.
08:39Assumptions such
08:40as
08:41everybody
08:42was begotten
08:43and born
08:43in the same day
08:44and how they
08:45used to count
08:46birthdays
08:46and how old
08:47you were.
08:48They didn't
08:49use the
08:50what we call
08:51the astrological
08:52or the Roman
08:52calendar,
08:54but one
08:55where
08:55sometimes
08:56it was in
08:57the spring,
08:57sometimes it
08:58was in
08:58the fall,
08:59like at the
08:59Feast of
09:00Trumpets,
09:00that's when
09:00your year
09:02was counted.
09:03So because
09:03of that,
09:04you can't
09:04use that
09:05as absolute
09:07reliability
09:07in terms of
09:08how long
09:10ago Adam
09:10was created.
09:14Now that
09:14being said,
09:15I want to
09:16consider some
09:17things in the
09:17New Testament.
09:21when Jesus
09:22began to
09:22preach,
09:23which is
09:23between
09:2327 and
09:2430 AD
09:25when he
09:25started,
09:26that could
09:27have been
09:27late in
09:28day 4
09:29of 6
09:301,000 year
09:31days,
09:32and day
09:325 would
09:33be the
09:33last day,
09:34one of the
09:35last days
09:35of a
09:36seven day
09:36week.
09:38And as
09:38far as the
09:39last days
09:39go,
09:40the Apostle
09:41Peter
09:41made it
09:43clear that
09:43wrote,
09:44or said,
09:45that Jesus
09:45was alive
09:46in the last
09:46days.
09:47He's in
09:48Acts 2
09:49verse 14.
09:51He stands
09:52up to
09:52speak,
09:53said what's
09:54happening,
09:54verse 17,
09:55has come to
09:55pass in the
09:56last days
09:56what God
09:57says,
09:57I'm going
09:57to pour
09:57out our
09:58spirit,
09:59sons and
09:59daughters
09:59will prophesy,
10:00etc.
10:01Verse 22,
10:03men of
10:03Israel,
10:04Jesus was a
10:05man attested
10:06by God.
10:06So he's
10:06talking about
10:07Jesus being
10:07around in
10:08the last
10:09days.
10:11And if you
10:12go to the
10:12book of
10:12Hebrews,
10:13Hebrews
10:14chapter 1,
10:15starting in
10:16verse 1,
10:17we read,
10:18God,
10:19who at
10:20various times
10:20and various
10:21ways spoke
10:22in time
10:22past to
10:23the fathers
10:24by the
10:25prophets,
10:25has in
10:26these last
10:26days spoken
10:27to us by
10:28his son,
10:29whom he
10:29has appointed
10:30heir of
10:31all things,
10:31through whom
10:32he also
10:33made his
10:34words.
10:35So we
10:35hear the
10:36last days
10:37being mentioned
10:37while Jesus
10:38was alive
10:40or when he
10:41spoke.
10:44and so
10:45the last
10:45days had
10:46to have
10:46started
10:46no later
10:47than the
10:48day of
10:48Pentecost
10:48in Acts
10:49chapter 2.
10:51And we
10:52know when
10:52the book
10:52of Hebrews
10:53was written,
10:54that would
10:54have been
10:55part of
10:55day 5.
10:58So,

11:00could have,

11:00could have
11:01been around

11:02perhaps as
11:03late as

11:11If we

11:13and resurrection
11:14of Jesus

11:42history,
11:43Adam and
11:44Eve probably
11:45left the
11:46Garden of
11:46Eden
11:46somewhere

11:51B.C.
11:52The Bible
11:53doesn't say
11:53how long
11:54Adam and
11:56Eve were in
11:56the Garden
11:56before they
11:57sinned.
11:58So what
11:59year is it
12:00now?
12:01Now,
12:01if the
12:02idea of
12:043983
12:05B.C.
12:05were correct
12:06and again
12:07I mentioned
12:07some of the
12:08flaws with
12:08that,
12:09we would
12:09right now
12:10be in
12:10the year
12:126008.
12:14Now,
12:15this is
12:15something I
12:16actually warned
12:16another
12:17Church of
12:17God group
12:19a decade or
12:20two ago,
12:20about two
12:21decades ago
12:22when they
12:22published
12:22something and
12:24because of
12:24that,
12:25its top
12:25leader then
12:26after speaking
12:27with me
12:27put out a
12:28statement that
12:28said,
12:29no,
12:30they didn't
12:30mean any
12:32of that.
12:33Now,
12:34that being
12:35said,
12:37if Adam
12:38and Eve
12:38were put
12:38out of
12:39the Garden
12:39of Eden
12:39in the
12:40year
12:413965,
12:42that leads
12:43us to
12:45be the,
12:47right now
12:47would be
12:47the year
12:495991.
12:51And if
12:51they left
12:52in the
12:53year
12:543969,
12:55that would
12:56make our
12:56current
12:56year
12:595995.
13:00And it
13:01may well
13:01be in
13:01between
13:02then.
13:03Either
13:04way,
13:05whether it
13:06was
13:073969
13:07BC or
13:083965
13:09BC,
13:10this date
13:11points to
13:12the Jewish
13:12year of
13:145787
13:15being off
13:16by over
13:17200 years.
13:19Now,
13:20we see
13:21that the
13:21dating is
13:22important.
13:23We see
13:23that only
13:24nearly 2
13:24million Jews
13:25were killed
13:26partially because
13:26of false
13:27dates.
13:27And we
13:28want Christians
13:29and others
13:30to realize
13:30that the
13:31end of the
13:31age may
13:32be much
13:32closer than
13:33people think.
13:34Because if
13:34they think
13:35they've got
13:35another 200
13:36years,
13:36they go,
13:37Jesus isn't
13:37going to
13:37come,
13:38the Messiah
13:38is not
13:38going to
13:39come in
13:39this age,
13:39I don't
13:40have to
13:40worry about
13:41it.
13:42So,
13:42this is
13:43a lie,
13:44and it's
13:45one that
13:45Jewish
13:46tradition
13:46continues to
13:47propagate,
13:48even though
13:49Jewish
13:49scholars realize
13:50it's not
13:51true.
13:52Now,
13:52as it
13:52turns out,
13:53early
13:53professors of
13:54Jesus taught
13:55that he would
13:56return at the
13:57end of the
13:576,000 years.
13:59Now,
14:00if there's a
14:006,000 year
14:01plan,
14:02the end could
14:03start at the
14:05beginning of
14:06the Great
14:07Tribulation,
14:07because Jesus
14:08said in
14:09Matthew 24,
14:1014,
14:10about that
14:11being the
14:12end,
14:12or when he
14:13returns.
14:15Anyway,
14:15the end is
14:16getting closer,
14:17and those who
14:18don't understand
14:18certain aspects
14:19of history and
14:20prophecy won't
14:21know until it's
14:22too late.
14:22relying on
14:23improper Jewish
14:24traditions is
14:25not the
14:25answer.
14:26We need to
14:27look, as far
14:28as Jesus
14:28returns, the
14:29signs he
14:30listed, for
14:30example, in
14:31Matthew 24,
14:32do not rely
14:32completely on
14:33calculations.
14:34But the
14:35Jewish calculation
14:36is off by
14:36over 200
14:37years.
14:38Do not rely
14:39on incorrect
14:41and false
14:41traditions.
14:42Believe the
