Natural News put out another warning. According to Jeremy Grantham, co-founder and chair at The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, what do you think is the most underrated threat facing humanity?

It’s toxicity! Can you imagine that? One of humanity’s greatest underrated threats is the threat of toxins. Why? Why would anyone think toxins are such a great threat? Consider this: the impact of pesticide use on cancer rates is potentially rivaling that of smoking.

But where do these toxins come from? They come from man-made and released chemicals including in food contact materials such as packaging and pesticides.

Still, how many pesticides can there possibly be floating around in my body because of a little packaging and fertilizer? Is 3,600 enough? Well, there’s more than that, 80 of which are feared to be “especially dangerous”.

How about women’s cosmetics and personal care items? Do they pose an additional risk? One author claimed “Many of the ingredients in the cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products you use every day are harmful. Studies have found that nearly 50% of cosmetic products evaluated were contaminated with the cancer-causing chemical 1,4-dioxane”.

What about GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic? Could they have any toxic or aging effects?

What about Satan and his influence? What about spiritual toxins? Are there any? If so, what are they and how do we get those? Should we strive to avoid physical and spiritual toxins?

Watch this video as Dr. Thiel shines the light of Biblical truth and the solution to “Toxins: The Invisible Assault”.

00:04Greetings, friends. This is Steve Dupuy for the Bible News Prophecy Program with Dr. Bob Thiel,
00:10bringing you news and analysis of world events in light of Bible prophecy.
00:15Dr. Thiel, I keep hearing about toxins. Are there natural and man-made toxins?
00:22Oh, yeah, there's both. First, let's talk about natural ones.
00:27We found out, for example, in Minnesota, there's something called microcystin, which is a toxin produced by blue-green algae.
00:36And contact with this can cause skin or eye irritation, allergic reaction, rashes.
00:42And if you swallow it, it can cause all other kinds of problems.
00:45And it can affect just about everybody, but people with immunocompromised systems are at greater risk.
00:50And then there's also known toxic plants that can kill, like, for example, certain varieties of mushrooms, poisonous mushrooms.
00:58And most people can avoid those.
01:01Why not all people?
01:02Because not all the toxins from foods are obvious.
01:08You know, with modern food processing techniques, people have ended up having a problem with getting, for example, diarrhea from
01:15lettuce, problems from packaged blueberries, et cetera.
01:19And they look healthy, so it's not obvious.
01:22And then there's the man-made toxins, which are almost impossible to completely avoid.
01:28I saw this article, Natural News, the article's titled, The Invisible Assault, How Everyday Toxins Sabotage Your Health from the
01:36Inside Out.
01:37It says that in an age where chronic illness rates climb despite medical advances, a lot of medical professionals and
01:45researchers are saying it's not just viruses and genes, but they're looking at the insidious, cumulative poison of modern life.
01:52The threat's not confined to just industrial accidents or things like that.
01:57But our daily existence and our food, our homes, and our personal routines.
02:01It says since World War II, we've had all this chemical innovation.
02:07Synthetic chemical compounds are supposed to be the miracles of convenience and progress.
02:12From pesticides to different types of packaging, non-stick cookware, et cetera.
02:19All these things promise supposedly a better life.
02:22But it's affecting the body's ability to detoxify.
02:27And many of these synthetic chemicals are very similar to things in the body.
02:33They can disrupt hormones.
02:35They can affect things like fertility, your thyroid, puberty, metabolic symptoms.
02:41They think they probably also contribute things like diabetes.
02:45And they can affect many others.
02:47And they're in our air and our water.
02:51And I mentioned about plastics as well.
02:54Now, another article said, quote, describing toxicity as the most underrated threat facing humanity.
03:02A new report has warned that the contamination of humans is endemic.
03:08And the risks to planetary and human health are widely underestimated, with the impact of pesticide use on cancer rates,
03:16potentially rivaling that of cigarette smoking.
03:21Well, that's pretty scary.
03:23That's pretty scary.
03:23How prevalent?
03:25Well, the article says there's more than 3,600 synthetic chemicals from food contact materials, like packaging and pesticides, that
03:35are present in human bodies around the world.
03:37And at least 80 of them are feared to be dangerous.
03:41Jerry Grantham, who's involved with the protection of the environment, added, quote, toxicity is the most underrated threat facing humanity.
03:533,600 synthetic chemicals flowing around in my body.
03:58Does it get any worse?
04:00Yeah.
04:01You've got the cumulative effect of the problem with microplastics.
04:05Basically, years of accumulation exposure can cause things like heart attacks and other health conditions.
04:13Okay.
04:14Additionally, there's avoidable toxins that many put on themselves, like cosmetics.
04:22Now, in the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 1, verse 2, we're warned.
04:28Vanity of vanities, says the preacher.
04:30Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.
04:32Well, vanity of appearance is something that Lucifer, who became Satan the devil, deceived himself by.
04:41If we go to the book of Ezekiel, chapter 28, starting with verse 12, we read,
04:48Thus says the Lord God,
04:50You, meaning Satan, were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
04:57You were in Eden, the garden of God.
05:00Now, that's one of the reasons we know this is a reference to Satan.
05:04Verse 14, you are the anointed cherub who covers.
05:07So we know this is not a normal human being.
05:12Verse 15, you were perfect in your way from the day you were created until iniquity was found in you.
05:21And you sinned.
05:22Verse 17, your heart was filled up because of your beauty.
05:25You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.
05:30Now, it's just not just Satan who's been affected by vanity of beauty.
05:34While males are certainly often vain, females in many societies are immensely focused on outside appearance.
05:41Even though the body, the Bible tells us, in Isaiah 28, glorious beauty is a fading flower.
05:50Looks don't last, but many people spend a lot of time on their outward appearance.
05:54And while that can please them, sometimes there's other risks.
05:58How risky are those other risks?
06:02A couple of decades ago, a chiropractor telephoned me and asked if she could send me a copy of her
06:09anti-cosmetic book called Dying to Look Good.
06:13So she sent it.
06:15I read it.
06:16Basically, it warns about different chemicals.
06:18It says there's like over 1,200 that are an issue.
06:27And she says, you know, they're not actually approved by the FDA.
06:32And she said that studies have found that nearly 50% of cosmetic products evaluated are contaminated with cancer-causing
06:41chemical called 1,4-deoxin.
06:44And says these products are only removed that the FDA knows for sure.
06:49She said, she wrote, you can't depend on the FDA or the manufacturers to make sure the products you buy
06:56are safe.
06:57It's up to you.
06:58Protect your family's health.
07:01That's tragic that nearly 50% of women's cosmetics contain a cancer-causing chemical.
07:08What's the situation today?
07:11Well, many dangerous chemicals are still used.
07:14And while most are not dangerous in small quantities, when you start to accumulate over a long period of time,
07:22they can be.
07:23You also should consider that most prescription drugs are foreign to the human body and that way could be considered
07:30toxic.
07:32Now, did you know that 11% of Americans are currently using GLP-1 drugs for weight loss and appearance?
07:39That's 30-some million.
07:42USA Today reported something that I just saw.
07:46It said, quote,
07:47Ozempic is giving people temporal Halloween.
07:51Doctors are sounding the alarm.
07:53It says you might have heard of Ozempic face, but how about Ozempic temples?
07:57In the era of GLP medications like Ozempic, Wagovi, et cetera,
08:03plastic surgeons say that people are looking for a niche treatment for high-risk areas of their face.
08:10The issue, temporal hollowing or temporal wasting, which they say results in loss of volume in the temples due to
08:21rapid weight loss.
08:24And a plastic surgeon says, patient will come in and say, why do I look so disturbed?
08:30Why am I suddenly looking older?
08:32What is it?
08:33They say, well, the temples are close to the brain, but they're the last thing people think about when they
08:37want plastic surgery.
08:39But surgeons say that patients who've experienced rapid weight loss and GLP-1 drugs, they know something's different.
08:46They don't know what.
08:48And some people tend not to think about their temples.
08:53But one of the plastic surgeons says, it takes your face out of its youthful balance.
08:59When you look at the youthful face, you look at kids, babies, the temple area is very full.
09:04He said, temporal hollowing is a hallmark of aging, hallmark of illness, hallmark of dehydration,
09:10and the absolute hallmark of the ozempic face.
09:15But overcorrecting it can cause a problem, too, according to another plastic surgeon.
09:21So trying what I consider the toxic way to look better can actually make you look worse.
09:28Are there spiritual lessons or analogies we can draw from various toxins?
09:35Yes.
09:38Poisonous plants can be analogous to known and obvious sins, like stealing or murder.
09:44People know they're wrong.
09:45Most people don't do it.
09:46Of course, the prisons are full of people who do it anyway.
09:49Contaminated foods can be deceptive.
09:51They catch people unawares.
09:53Reminds me of 1 Peter 5.8.
09:55Be sober.
09:56Be vigilant.
09:57Because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking who you may devour.
10:03Now, related to Satan, the Bible calls him the prince of the power of the air.
10:08His influence, like air pollution, is everywhere.
10:10Look, we all have to breathe, but we all set to live in the world.
10:18Jesus prayed to the Father in John 17.
10:22He said, I've given them your word.
10:26The world hates them because they're not of the world.
10:29Just say, I'm not of the world.
10:29I don't pray you take them out of the world, but you should keep them from the evil one.
10:34Again, Satan's influence here.
10:36But one of the ways this is done, according to Apostle James, James 4, 6, and 7, you read,
10:43God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
10:46Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil, and he'll flee from you.
10:50We're supposed to resist Satan's proud and vain ways.
10:54This is one reason that the Church of God has, for example, urged only minimal use of cosmetics,
11:00as well as the urging of eating real, not ultra-processed foods.
11:05What are some additional toxins we can run into?
11:09One is entertainment.
11:11It can be spiritually toxic.
11:13The Apostle Paul, in Romans 6, verse 12 and 13, said,
11:18Do not let rain, you should sin rain over your mortal body, you should obey it, and it's less.
11:24And we're not to present our members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin.
11:29It's not that we never sin, but like physical toxins, we should strive to have as little sin as we
11:35can,
11:35and not present ourselves as sin as well.
11:40Now, the psalmist wrote, in Psalm 101, verse 3,
11:44I will set nothing wicked before my eyes.
11:47So we've got to think about that in the context of entertainment.
11:51Now, there's also a concept within toxicology called the total toxic threshold.
11:57Basically, it states the human body can tolerate limited amounts of many toxins before adverse effects occur.
12:04Similarly, just like we can handle being in a toxic, sinful society,
12:09once a certain quantity is reached, the body gets ill.
12:13As society becomes more toxic, we have to be more careful about its influences and its entertainment.
12:20We're warned by the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 6, 17,
12:24to come out of the world, be separate, and not touch the unclean.
12:28But Paul also wrote, in 1 Corinthians 15, 33,
12:34don't be deceived, evil company corrupts good habits.
12:38That's one of the reasons I'm tying in entertainment, so that type can be a toxin.
12:44You know, how much sin do you think God wants you to tolerate?
12:48Well, if you're Christian, hopefully you'll try to live by what Jesus said.
12:53Matthew 5, 48.
12:55Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
13:01Now, we're supposed to strive for no sin.
13:04We should also strive to avoid many of the toxins that we can run into in the 21st century world.
13:14Now, I read you the quote that, quote,
13:18toxicity is the most underrated threat facing humanity.
13:21Yet, sin and Satan's role in it are perhaps the most invisible causes of physically and spiritually toxic world.
13:31Now, God does have a plan.
13:33And part of it is that during the millennial kingdom of God, Satan will be bound for a thousand years,
13:41Revelation 20, verse 3.
13:42And the resurrected saints are going to be teaching the right way to live.
13:47You can read that in Isaiah 30, verses 20 to 21.
13:51So, what should we be doing?
13:54We should try to avoid sin, try to avoid toxins,
13:57and try to avoid what we can't avoid, both spiritually as well as physically.
14:02And we should also pray, by the way, as Jesus said in Matthew 6, 10,
14:06for God's kingdom to come.
14:10Thank you, Dr. Thiel.
