World tensions are mounting. Iran bombs Israel, Israel bombs Lebanon, the US and Iran hit targets, lines are being drawn, sides are being chosen. Russia develops better, more powerful weapons, Ukraine gets more pledges from the US for support. Europe dedicates more resources to military development.
What are you going to do? Where are you going to go? How do you protect your family? Does the Bible reveal God will protect all, or only some, of the Christians in the end time from the coming hour of trial known as the Great Tribulation? Are the promises from Jesus to Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicean Christians different?
In this video Dr. Thiel lists the 10 safest countries during WWIII as suggested by secular sources. He also reveals the safest country as determined by a writer specializing in travel.
Eleven places of safety offered by secular sources. Then Dr. Thiel reveals the one place of safety from WWIII (referred to as the Great Tribulation) revealed in the Bible. Could it be a rocky place somewhere in the wilderness of Jordan (like near Petra)?
Twelve doors. Twelve paths to choose from for protection from the hour of trial that will come on the whole world. You can only choose one path. Quick! Which one will you choose?
Watch this video as Dr. Thiel shines the light of Biblical truth on how you can really protect you and your family during WWIII. This is the real truth about prepping – straight from the Word of God.

00:04Greetings, friends. This is Steve Dupuy for the Bible News Prophecy Program with Dr. Bob Thiel,
00:09bringing you news and analysis of world events in light of Bible prophecy. Dr. Thiel,
00:15where is the safest place I could be when World War III starts?
00:20Well, before we get to that, I saw something from a secular source. In the article, here's
00:27the headline, The 10 Safest Countries of World War III Breaks Out. Number one, Fiji. It says it's a
00:35remote island nation. It's isolated from potential invaders. It's got a small population. It's neutral
00:41in foreign affairs. It doesn't have any resources to justify invasion. Then number two is Ireland.
00:47Number three was Malta. Number four was Denmark. Five, Iceland. Six, Chile. Seven, Bhutan. Eight,
00:54New Zealand. Nine, Tuvalu. Ten, Switzerland. Now, the above list is interesting because some of
01:02those lands and islands initially would not be impacted by World War III, but ultimately they'd
01:07be affected. Why would they be affected? Well, for one, the Bible warns that islands and coastal
01:15regions are going to end up with problems. So that reduces some of the safety factors. For example,
01:20in Luke 21, starting in verse 11, Jesus said there'd be great earthquakes in various places
01:26and fearful sites. In verse 25, he talked about signs and that the earth will be in distress with
01:35perplexity, with the sea and the waves roaring. And in the book of Revelation, chapter 6, starting
01:42verse 12, you see when the sixth seal is open, things would be shaken. Then verse 14, the sky receded
01:52as a scroll
01:52and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. Then if you go to Revelation 16, starting
01:59verse 17, the seventh angel pulls out his bowl into the air. There's noises and thunders and lightnings
02:06and a great earthquake. Such a mighty and great earthquake has never occurred since men were on
02:12the earth. Now verse 20, that every island fled away and the mountains were not found. And most of
02:19those claim 10 safest nations are made up of islands. So islands are not a good choice for safety.
02:27Should I look inland then? Well, you've got other things to consider. You've got, for example,
02:34Chile, Bhutan, and Switzerland are mountainous and they're subject to being leveled. Then you've got
02:40Iceland, who's both an island and with mountains and stuff. Now, because Denmark, Switzerland,
02:47Iceland, and Ireland have many descendants of Israel, they're prophesied to be negatively affected by
02:55the beast of Revelation 13. Now, New Zealand, because it's primarily inhabited by descendants of
03:03Ephraim, it's going to be among the earlier casualties of World War III. It's not going to be a place
03:10of
03:10safety. Now, let me add that Americans who think they can plead in the mountains, this is going to
03:16be safe. They've overlooked prophecies which say they'll be pursued in the mountains, such as
03:21Lamentations 4.19 and Ezekiel 6 verses 1 to 3. Now, the author of that list took a secular carnal
03:29approach. But the Apostle Paul wrote to be carnally minded as death, Romans 8.6.
03:36Now, there was a travel author by the name of
03:41Lance Sluder. He does travel writing and he said Belize was the best place because it's got an
03:49extensive cave system that will help to escape radiation. And he says it's surrounded by the
03:56Caribbean Sea to the east and a jungle to the west. Well, surely a travel writer couldn't be wrong,
04:03could he? Well, Belize is a coastal nation with islands. So while its inland region may be safe for
04:11a while, overall, Belize is not that safe. Then where do we look for safety from the chaos of World
04:17War
04:18World War 3? For the Bible, we're to walk by faith, not by sight, 2 Corinthians 5.7. And in
04:26Psalm 94.22, it tells us,
04:29the Lord has been my defense and my God, the rock of refuge. Proverbs 29.25, whoever trusts in the
04:39Lord will be safe.
04:40I want to focus a little, though, on Isaiah. Isaiah 33. Starting in verse 15, it says,
04:48He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, shuts his eyes from seeing evil, verse 16.
04:55He will dwell on high. His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks. Bread will be given him.
05:02His water will be sure. Interestingly, the description of the Bible about a place of safety
05:08during a time you might call World War 3 refers to a rocky place in a wilderness location,
05:15like perhaps some part of southern Jordan, like near Petra. Now, of course, certain Protestants
05:22instead believe they're going to be raptured away from the earth prior to the start of the Great
05:26Tribulation. And while that's their professed hope, the idea is not supported by the Bible and is
05:32in error. As Jesus said in Matthew 24, verses 29 and 30, he returns after the Tribulation.
05:40Can't God just protect me right where I am, wherever that may be?
05:45Well, he could. And many Christians believe they're going to be protected like that. But that
05:50is not what the Bible teaches. Most Christians will not be protected. Read that in Daniel 7.25b and
06:00Revelation 12.17. Only the remaining Philadelphia remnant is promised protection. Now, Christians
06:09are supposed to pray to be counted worthy for protection according to Jesus. Luke 21, verse 36.
06:17Watch therefore and pray always that you'll be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come
06:22in the past and stand before the Son of Man. Now, escaping points to fleeing, not staying where you're
06:29at. That's also consistent with some things Jesus said in Matthew 24, verses 15 to 20.
06:35Now, consider further. Jesus rebuked most of the Christians in the second and third chapter of the book
06:42of Revelation, indicating they did not always have the right focus supporting his work.
06:48And that shows that not all Christians will be protected in the end.
06:54Will most Christians do what they should in the end?
06:58No. That's why Jesus rebuked the Laodiceans and told them to change in Revelation 3.
07:04Laodiceans basically pose the two words, which mean people decide. And in the end times, most
07:10Christian people have decided not to support proper church governance and doing the right
07:15work of God in truth. Now, regarding World War III, the late Herbert W. Armstrong said that
07:23we're in a rest period just before the Great Tribulation. Before then, there's going to be
07:28a flight of the people of God who are watching and praying always. And you find these prophecies
07:33of the church, you said, in the second and third chapters of Revelation. Now, come down to the end,
07:39in our time, we see, for example, the Sardis era. They have the name that they're alive,
07:45right? But they're dead, spiritually speaking. Then he says, the Philadelphia era. He says,
07:51next comes the Philadelphia that does carry the mission of God to the world. This is a church
07:58from a physical point of view. His power and strength is the weakest of them all. It's the
08:02smallest. They only have a little strength, the church of Philadelphia. Now, listen to this,
08:08Revelation 3.10. Because you've kept the word of my patience, I'll also keep you from the
08:13hour of the trial. It's the time of the Great Tribulation. They'll come upon the earth.
08:19Then he mentions the Laodicean era. There's the last one of all. Now, this church, God says,
08:25I know your works. You're not cold or warm, hot. This is a lukewarm church. I wish you were
08:31cold or hot. Because you're lukewarm, I'm going to see you out of my mouth, says Jesus.
08:38Then Herbert Armstrong goes back to what Jesus said in Luke 21. Watch you, therefore, and pray
08:44always. In other words, don't be lukewarm. But you better be really hot spiritually in your
08:51zeal for the things for God and the work of God, that you may be counted worthy to escape
08:56all these things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man, end quote.
09:02As we are nearing the time of the Great Tribulation, won't most, if not all, Christians repent and be
09:09protected? No, not according to Scripture. Now, I also want to read something from the late evangelist,
09:19Dr. Herman Hay. He says, if World War III comes, there's a way of escape. You need to be prepared.
09:26He said, Jesus talked about the time of the Gentiles. And this is not talking about a time
09:32of peace. He said, but a time of war. But in this end-time turmoil, there is a place of
09:37safety
09:39if you heed until Jesus does come and bring peace. He says, wrote, it's a vital part of the gospel
09:45of the soon-coming kingdom of God. And then he said, Jesus said, Matthew 24, 22,
09:52except those days be shortened, no flesh would be saved.
09:55He went on to say that God supernaturally would cut the day short for the sake of the elect.
10:02That's our only real hope of survival. He said, he wrote, the intervention of God. Jesus Christ
10:09promised protection to his own elect. He promised that they would survive the prophesied Holocaust
10:14to strike this unsuspecting world. Describe the elect. How can they be identified?
10:23Well, Dr. Hay continued by quoting Jesus, who in Luke 12, 32 said, fear not, little flock,
10:32for it's your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Jesus promised that somewhere on earth
10:37there'd be his own work. That work would be faithfully performed. He promised his true followers
10:44who know his voice, who do the preaching of the gospel kingdom as a witness to the world. He said,
10:49you need to find out where that work's being carried on. Why? Because only those who have the absolute
10:54guarantee of safety, the very elect are those who are called, chosen, truly repented of their own
11:00carnal ways and accepted the holy ways of God. They make up the body of Christ performing his work.
11:07However, Jesus speaks of these faithful ones in the book of Revelation.
11:12And he starts to quote Revelation 3, 7. And to the angels of the church in Philadelphia,
11:18the prophesied end-time church of God, doing work of God, write, I know your works.
11:23Behold, I set before you an open door.
11:27The apostle Paul spoke of a door flung open to preach the gospel.
11:322 Corinthians 2, 12. Remember, Jesus promised the gospel kingdom shall be preached in all the
11:39world, Matthew 24, 14. And promised to make a way for the message of hope and the good news
11:46to go through these massive doors, to radio, printing press, television, personal evangelism.
11:52He promised those doors to remain open because no man couldn't shut it.
11:58To the Philadelphians, he says, you've kept my word and not denied my name.
12:02Yes, the very elect would never become corrupted by false doctrines or be muzzled by boards of men.
12:08They would not deny the name of Jesus Christ or his true doctrine.
12:12Uh-oh, that's what he wrote. Anyway, let me interject here that in continuing church of God,
12:17we are now getting the gospel out over the printing press, radio, YouTube, television videos,
12:22personal evangelism, and the internet.
12:24We represent the remnant of the Philadelphia portion of the church of God that Dr. Hay mentioned.
12:32So, we'll read a little bit more from him.
12:35Jesus gave the good news to the faithful ones to put the work of God far above their personal consideration.
12:41And he said, because you kept the word of my patience, I'll also keep you from the hour of temptation,
12:47tribulation, which will come upon all the world to try them to dwell on the earth, Revelation 3, 10.
12:55Yes, Jesus promised safety. He promised supernatural protection for his own elect.
13:03And then he starts to quote Revelation 12.
13:09And to the woman, the church were given two wings of a great eagle that she may fly into the
13:14wilderness,
13:14into her place where she's nourished for a time, time, and half a time from the presence of the serpent.
13:20In end-time prophecy, John writes as the last end-time remnant church,
13:26which will escape the terrible war and tribulation, which will soon affect our heedless people.
13:33It's a place of safety in the wilderness, in the supernatural power of the Almighty God,
13:39their shield and their protector.
13:41Where does Dr. Hay say the symbolic eagle will take God's church for protection?
13:49He points to the lands anciently inhabited by the Edomites, Moabites, and Ammonites.
13:58Okay, so that would be like where Jordan is right now.
14:04Anyway, the reality is there will be a place of physical protection during the Great Tribulation,
14:09in the day of the Lord for the Philadelphia and Remnant of the Christians.
14:12But it's not going to be in any of the top ten nations, I don't think,
14:17that some believe it will be the safest.
14:19Thank you, Dr. Thiel.
