00:02LSU is legitimately toying with the idea of adding at least three players
00:09who signed professional NFL contracts to their roster for this season.
00:15This is up against Greg Sankey and the SEC who have passed the rule that said
00:22no player that signs an NFL contract can be on a SEC roster.
00:28Forget about the legal implications.
00:30They're saying from a conference perspective, it doesn't matter.
00:33The April bylaw that was passed, no player can be added after the first game of the season as well.
00:40So it's a ticking clock here on two different fronts for LSU.
00:46If LSU signs these players and Lane Kiffin said yesterday when he talked to his players,
00:52quote, if they can help us win, bring them.
00:55That's what the team told him.
00:57He said to a man that every player in that locker room said, yes, bring these players back
01:02because we want to win a national championship and these players can help us win a national championship.
01:07So we want you to go out there and get them and pay them and have them come in and

01:12You have to wonder what as what the higher ups at LSU think about this.
01:19Are they willing to go to the mat for not just football?
01:22We're talking basketball.
01:24We're talking gymnastics.
01:25We're talking every sport, softball, everything that LSU does in the Southeastern conference.
01:32If they go through with this with football and they get kicked out of the conference, they're out.
01:39The school is out.
01:41It's farfetched or it seems farfetched, but not really.
01:45You have 15 school executives outside of LSU that are now talking about the potential for boycotts, conference probation or
01:57even expulsion from the Southeastern conference.
02:00If LSU will not listen to the rest of the conference and abide by this one executive saying yesterday, the
02:08tensions are high, that there are some real high level conversations going on about what to do with LSU and
02:16how to handle them.
02:18The ultimate and unprecedented penalty is expulsion or potential membership probation, meaning that nobody will play LSU this year in
02:29football.
02:30That they will not line up and play them, that every game that LSU plays, they will consider it a
02:36loss.
02:37There are so many implications to this.
02:41There are television right implications.
02:45There are everything that's around LSU football.
02:49All of the businesses that depend upon LSU home games, all of the different things around Baton Rouge that sell
02:59LSU products.
03:01The food, the restaurants, the bars.
03:04I mean, there are so many things impacted by LSU football.
03:07It is an economic engine.
03:09If you were to say Baton Rouge, hey, we're not, you know, there's no more LSU SEC football this year.
