00:14not stuff that's happened off the field, but with Lane, with everybody, sports need characters.
00:20Like that's ultimately why we watch this stuff is for the stories.
00:24I mean, some people watch it for the X's and O's and properly executing a play here and
00:29there, but we want characters.
00:30We want people we root for, we want people we root against.
00:34And I think Lane Kiffin has always kind of wanted to be a guy people root for, but the
00:39things he does just always puts him into the other boat.
00:43And then sometimes he leans into it.
00:45Sometimes he doesn't.
00:46I think Steve Spurrier loved being a villain.
00:48I think Barry Switzer loved being a villain.
00:51I don't know if Lane Kiffin loves it, but I do know he loves to get attention and this
00:55is how he figures it's a good way to get attention is to do whatever upsets a lot of people.
01:01How do you see that game this weekend, LSU Ole Miss?
01:04I mean, you know, don't go to sleep on Ole Miss and I know you're not.
01:08I'm just saying to other people here that that Ole Miss team's got some players on it.
01:12Trinidad Chandler can move the sticks.
01:13I saw that against the University of Miami.
01:16This kid's a heck of a football player.
01:18How do you see this thing playing out here this weekend?
01:22Well, I want to see what LSU team shows up.
01:24I mean, they were about perfect in that first game against Clemson winning 51 to 10, but
01:29they were very, very sloppy last week against Louisiana Tech.
01:32They had four turnovers, a few of them in the red zone.
01:35Sam Levitt had three interceptions.
01:37They were only up 10 to seven at halftime and Louisiana Tech had zero yards of offense
01:42at that point.
01:42So was that just looking ahead to Ole Miss or is it a brand new team week to week still
01:49trying to figure each other out?
01:50On the Ole Miss side, very mixed bag in that opener against Louisville.
01:55I think offensively they figured it out.
01:57Deuce Alexander is going to be a very good deep, deep play threat.
02:00And Trinidad Chandler's bailed them out a lot.
02:02We'll see Kwon Lacey's health.
02:04I know he got kind of banged up back in week one.
02:07And the environment in Oxford is going to be insane.
02:10Like this is going to be one of the biggest, most, you know, vitriolic returns for a coach
02:18or a player to a stadium that we've ever seen.
02:20The way he left Ole Miss before the playoff, he wanted to stay, but it wasn't realistic
02:26for him to stay.
02:27Leaving that team that could have won a national championship, he left them.
02:31And then in the offseason, took some of their players, said some things about the school.
02:37And, like, just it's a whole big thing.
02:39It was a mess when Lane went back to Tennessee a few years ago.
02:42Remember, they were throwing stuff on the field, golf balls.
02:45It's going to be a security is going to have to be really high on Saturday.
02:49And then, like, I'll be right back to Tennessee a few days later.
