00:00The Cubs got three home runs from P. Crow Armstrong. That led to a 17-5 win against the Cincinnati
00:06Reds.
00:06What a bad season the Reds are having, too, by the way.
00:09Lost early this week against Arizona. Split the first two games against the Reds.
00:13To me, Tom, much ado about nothing. I don't think this is going to be a collapsing season for the
00:18Cubs.
00:19This PCA is like putting this team on his shoulders, carrying them to different wins.
00:24His war, I believe, if I'm not mistaken, is nine. He's the first guy to get there this season.
00:28So I still have my concerns about the Cubs in the postseason, but I don't see a collapse coming where
00:33they fall out of it.
00:34They have such a big lead at this point.
00:36They do, and ultimately the Cubs have been hot.
00:39This is a team that you and I have talked about quite a bit at this point where if the
00:44Cubs roll into the postseason hot, they can take down any team.
00:47They can win any series, whatever it is. If PCA is this hot, they're going to be an absolute rollercoaster,
00:53and they can blow the doors off the Phillies, the Brewers, whoever it might. Maybe not the Brewers.
00:57But they can blow the doors off basically anyone else.
01:00But the point being is they need to end the season strong because their September is not easy.
01:05Again, they have two series against Milwaukee.
01:07They have two series against the Marlins who are going to be fighting for every win they can get.
01:11Then they have a series versus the Braves, and they end the season versus the Red Sox.
01:14So it's not like they have an easy run out, and they're just going to be beating up on the
01:18Reds and the Pirates and the Cardinals to end the season.
01:21They have a very tough September.
01:23So if they don't go into the postseason hot, no matter how hot they are now at PCA, I'm still
01:28going to have some doubts about them.
