00:00The Cubs, you know, started off the season and in fantasy, you know, we thought it would be
00:05Edward Cabrera and Justin Steele and some of the other pitchers they've had. Well, the Cubs,
00:09to me, this was in reality, Gray, a trade that they're just hoping avoids a collapse. I'm very
00:15always worried about the Cubs collapsing every year. And for good reason, it seems like no
00:19matter how good they are, they have to kind of find their way to sneak in the playoffs at the
00:23end. And obviously, Pete Crow Armstrong wasn't around for the last time that this happened. But
00:26Gossman and Clay Holmes to the Chicago Cubs here. Did you like those moves? And did you think the
00:33Cubs did enough? They certainly tried more than a lot of other teams, that's for sure.
00:39Yeah, no, completely. Actually, I really like the Cubs moves. I think Gossman, while having a bit of
00:46a down year this year, if you look at his underlying stats, they don't look that different than last
00:51year when he had a 3.59 ERA. So I think Gossman was probably a good buy low for fantasy.

01:00with the Cubs getting them, I mean, you know, it's like Wrigley is such a tough place to pitch because
01:06some days it's one of the best pitchers parks and other days it's one of the worst pitcher parks.
01:11So it's hard to say exactly how much Wrigley is going to affect them, whether or not the wind is
01:15blowing in or out. But I think Gossman is actually really kind of like, I think he's probably pound
01:22for pound as second best pitcher who moved at the deadline. I really, you know, even though his ERA
01:29is a little bit high this year, I think the ERA is deceiving. I really like Kevin Gossman a lot.
01:34I think beyond, you know, Scooble obviously is number one, but I like, I like the move by the Cubs.
01:41And I, you know, with Pete Crow Armstrong, you know, when you look at the, the team there,
01:47I feel like he's the NL MVP and I'm a, obviously I'm in LA and you know, my, my, my
01:55heart would
01:56normally say Otani, but I think Pete Crow Armstrong is the NL MVP, assuming no incredible like drop off
02:04in the final two months or, you know, assuming they, they both, Otani and him both sort of stay the,
02:10exactly the same as they've been. I like them.
