00:00Uh, pivoting to the teams that look like they are securing wildcard births.
00:04One team has already secured a wildcard birth.
00:06The Chicago Cubs, the Cubs have lost four in a row.
00:09As we record here, they're 20 games over 500 at 88 and 68, but they just got swept in Cincinnati.
00:15They lost one, nothing on Sunday.
00:18That was a doozy of a weekend.
00:19It was one that shot Cincinnati with adrenaline, the entire city.
00:24And that place is alive right now.
00:26And it's so much fun to watch Reds baseball matter in the final week of the month of September.
00:31And this is, you know, maybe the Terry Francona effect.
00:34Maybe it's just the pitching getting scorching hot and maybe it's the bats coming through when they need to most.
00:39But the Chicago Cubs, I guess I worry about the offensive chemistry in this final week of the season.
00:45How do you build a good vibe like going into October?
00:50PCA needs to get going.
00:52I mean, this has been as disappointing as anybody after the all-star break in Major League Baseball.
00:58I mean, that's that's my question.
00:59It's just what PCA are you getting?
01:01And then is Kyle Tucker going to get back?
01:03I mean, this calf thing is weird.
01:05It's not getting better.
01:06They really need him back.
01:07Like those are the two for me that are as important as can be.
01:11And honestly, I think Tucker might be the bigger question because I'm starting to just lose confidence that that PCA is just going to snap back around.
01:19And I know Peter was saying, like, PCA may shine brightest when the lights are on.
01:25And I believe that.
01:26But also, it's just a really tough game.
01:29And when you've been this bad for this long, it is kind of hard to just snap out of it.
01:34So I think the biggest question for me is, can you get Kyle Tucker back?
01:39Because I think there's a little question that once you get him back, he's going to be one of, if not the best bat in your lineup, even if he's not 100 percent himself.
01:46But I think if he is 100 percent himself, he's by far the best bat in their lineup.
01:50And I think that's saying a lot, too, because Bush has been great.
01:52And, you know, several other guys have been putting up good offensive numbers.
01:55But can that Tucker calf get better is really, I think, the number one thing I just keep looking at.
02:01Because this team looks totally different without him.
02:04Real quick, San Diego is very, very close to locking in the second wildcard spot.
02:10What jumps out to you about San Diego?
02:11I really don't have much.
02:13I feel like I know who they are going into October.
02:16Can they keep Michael King on the mound?
02:17Like, if they have a healthy Michael King, I feel a lot better about this team.
02:22And that really is the thing that I circle when I look at the playoff rotation.
02:28They need somebody at the front of that rotation.
02:30And King is absolutely the guy at the front of the rotation.
02:33I don't care if he's made 25 starts this year.
02:34I don't care if he's made five starts this year.
02:36Michael King is the most consistent arm that the San Diego Padres have.
02:41He's far more consistent than Cease.
02:43And everybody else is just kind of like a box of chocolates.
02:45How can you get to that super pen in the month of October?
