00:05Every night at the hotel we drag all of this into the hotel with us.

00:35Hi, I'm Destiny from Chi-Eye, and we're in Chicago right now on the last day of our tour.

00:41So I wanted to show you the van.

00:43It's pretty rainy right now, so maybe we go inside and I'll show you around.

00:49Alright, so this is where I usually sit in the passenger seat, passenger princess, Josh.

00:55He plays drums.

00:56Yeah.

00:57Hi Josh.

00:57This is actually his van that he just bought before this tour, so love him for that.

01:03Thank you, Josh.

01:05And he does a lot of driving.

01:07These are my emergency M&Ms, just for everybody in the band's safety that I have emergency

01:13M&Ms.

01:14Josh and I will be talking in the front and Emmerich will stick his head right here in the

01:20middle and join the conversation.

01:24It's really cute.

01:25We need to get one of those, like, dog gate separators so that it's fantastic.

01:30We don't go flying through the windshield.

01:34Right now we are actually on the last day of our tour, our very first ever tour with Ali

01:41Nicholas and Sir Echo, and I wanted to give you this poster, but here is the last show.

01:49Yeah, Chicago.

01:50And then we're about to go out again in a few weeks with our friend Sachi Six, so very excited

01:55about that.

01:55And that'll be on the west coast, but we won't be in this van for that.

01:58We're going to be sharing a van with them, which is great.

02:01Oh, and we have our band mascot Bucky, of course.

02:05A fan gave that to us at a show, which was super nice.

02:08For those of you who don't know, Bucky's is like, if Walmart was entirely a gas station,

02:15it's really hard to explain.

02:18It's just something that you have to experience.

02:21So if you're ever in the south, definitely go to a Bucky's.

02:23So I feel like we all split driving pretty evenly, and I listen to crazy different genres.

02:33So we'll listen to old country, we'll listen to rock, metal.

02:37I try to get Emrick to play Creed for a minute, and he says no and refuses to.

02:43It sucks, but when I'm driving, we're playing Creed.

02:46Or we'll be watching a movie in the back and playing it throughout the van.

02:50So we watched Angry Birds and Flushed Away.

02:56I swear we're adults.

02:58I'm just an animation fan.

02:59There's any, like, bee movie.

03:03I scroll reels while I drive right here.

03:05No, he doesn't.

03:09I don't do it.

03:11Oh yeah, talk about the car bomb.

03:14This thing, I actually installed this for my friend back, like, ten years ago.

03:19He was taking this exact van on Warped Tour with his band.

03:23And so I installed this, like, power converter with an auxiliary battery.

03:28And I did it when I was 19.

03:30So it's super sketchy, and it makes, like, a hissing noise.

03:34Like, it might make...

03:35Oh no, we're good.

03:37When you turn it off, it makes a crazy sound.

03:38There we go.

03:39Yeah, there it is.

03:40Sometimes it, like, messes with the radio, and it's like...

03:43I was very young when I did it, so...

03:45Oh my god.

03:46We call it the car bomb.

03:48I wanna live.

03:51But it's safe, I promise.

03:53I just bought this before this tour.

03:56It's, like, a $30 camera from Walmart.

03:58And it shoots really cool, bad video.

04:02You know, bad and a good way.

04:04So we've been trying to document, you know, the tour.

04:07And then I have this Moleskine notebook that I write in after every show.

04:13And I put, like, the, you know, little memento from the show.

04:18I haven't filled in some of these, but I try to keep a little something from every show that we

04:22play.

04:22And then I write about it, and how I felt about, you know, the performance, and the people that I

04:28interacted with, and highlights.

04:31So, that's been really sweet.

04:33Yeah, and then in the middle here I've got my, like, duffel bag that is entirely just vocal health stuff.

04:39So we've got, like, lozenges, and elixirs, and every vitamin that you could possibly take.

04:45And, like, my nebulizer, and my vocal steamer, and a thing of honey.

04:50And I think the most difficult thing about touring has been keeping my voice, you know.

04:58So, it's very important to prioritize vocal health on the road.

05:02And I'm still learning how to do that, but we're fine.

05:09He plays guitar.

05:11I play guitar.

05:14Emre usually sits in the middle here, and will play much better music than Josh and I play.

05:24Yeah, but it's pretty crammed back here because we don't have a trailer on this run, so all of our

05:31gear and stuff is just piled in the back with us.

05:33And thankfully we're not sleeping in the van on this tour.

05:37We've been doing hotels every night, which has been nice.

05:39But we kind of just have to put our feet wherever there is room.

05:44So, I feel like Emre has it worse with that.

05:46Yeah, I mean, I make it work.

05:48I mean, it's just kind of, I just drop everything here and lay down with my seatbelt on for sure.

05:56Um, yeah, I just, I got like the, uh, I got the go bag.

06:00It's got shirts and bags in the bag and hats and my laptop and everything I could need.

06:06Um, got some, got some strings.

06:09Oh yeah, some foam.

06:10Mixed for a nice pillow.

06:12It doubles as a flotation device.

06:16Drive off the bridge.

06:18Yeah, it's just, uh, it's a lot of, uh, yeah, uh, laying down and scrolling Instagram reels.

06:25It's my favorite, uh, pastime.

06:28What is it?

06:29Oh yeah, uh, we played Mahals a couple days ago and I got a little haul of vinyl.

06:34What's the haul?

06:34I got, uh, some fiddlehead, starting line, obviously, and then two Joyce Manor.

06:42Oh, sick.

06:43I didn't know you got those.

06:44Those are so cool.

06:45Oh yeah.

06:45I saw them all and I had to, I had to pick them up.

06:48Yeah.

06:49Sick.

06:49Mahals was cool.

06:50And then last night we played, um, Sanctuary and, uh, in Detroit.

06:54And that was awesome.

06:56Really cool venues on this run.

06:58And then back here we have Sam.

07:03And, uh, he is joining us on this run from...

07:08Milwaukee.

07:09I always want to say Michigan and Minnesota, one of the M cities.

07:13I always get it mixed up.

07:15Milwaukee, I think, cause I've heard it's really cool.

07:28I drink some of these, uh, mineral waters that we picked up in Michigan yesterday.

07:37Turns out they're sparkling and we did not realize they were sparkling.

07:41Did not intend on that.

07:42But, yeah.

07:43Just a lot of sleeping back here, honestly.

07:46I think Sam and I get the most car sick, so...

07:49Oh, yeah.

07:50Lots of Dramamine.

07:52Yeah.

07:52Between the two of us.

07:53And then back here is where we pile all of our gear.

08:03Right now a lot of our gear is in the venue.

08:05We already sound checked, so a lot of it's inside.

08:07But usually this is like...

08:08We have figured out the perfect amalgamation of how to arrange everything so that it fits.

08:13Um, and yeah, it's just like extra merch in boxes and then our gear back here.

08:20And, um, yeah.

08:22So every night at the hotel we drag all of this into the hotel with us.

08:27And, um, that's been working pretty well for us.

08:30We'll have to figure out what we're going to do later this year.

08:33We're going on a seven week tour, which is going to be pretty intense for us.

08:36And I've never done anything like that.

08:38So, we'll have to get a trailer and maybe sleep in the van.

08:42And I don't know. We'll figure it out.

08:43But it's been really fun and cool and I love it so far.

08:47So, definitely want to do more of it.

08:49Yeah.

08:50We are going on tour again later this year with Sleeping With Sirens.

08:54Which is absolutely insane that I get to say that out loud.

08:58I cannot believe it.
