00:00I think that's one of the most important things to bring on tour is a pillow and blanket from home.
00:03If you respect yourself and the people you're touring with, do not go number two on a tour bus.
00:37Hey, hey, come on in.
00:39I'm Brendan Shane from the Nocturnal Affair and we're going to give you a tour of our bandwagon.
00:44We are currently on the road to support our new single, Oxygen, and we are hitting radio stations all across
00:49the Midwest, including Illinois.
00:52Yeah, so the bandwagon has a DVD player.
00:56Now, kids, a DVD player is an object that plays these things called discs.
01:01Not like throwing a frisbee, but they actually have media on them.
01:05You don't just download them from the interwebs.
01:08And so, I've been watching some of our favorites, a little bit of wrestling.
01:13We've got Walk the Line, although I prefer Walk Hard.
01:17And, uh, History of Violence.
01:20So, I don't usually watch a lot of movies that kind of hide in my bunk or wait until somebody
01:25puts Spaceballs on.
01:26We have a full-blown satellite dish, so we have a lot of options if we have service.
01:32So, as long as we're not going through any tunnels, we're good.
01:34We watch Spaceballs, we've seen The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad.
01:40I mean, what else were we watching?
01:42South Park.
01:42A lot of South Park.
01:44Yeah.
01:45Forrest Gump.
01:46Forrest Gump.
01:47Well, I had said I'd never really watched Forrest Gump all the way through yesterday.
01:50And we got back from having Texas Roadhouse and I had too much steak.
01:53And I was like, I think I'll take a nap.
01:55And I slept for like six hours.
01:56And apparently, Forrest Gump suddenly was on like twice.
02:00So, I caught the tail end of it.
02:02So, I still have never seen Forrest Gump all the way through.
02:05So, it's great.
02:05So, thankfully, the bandwagon comes with a normal size fridge.
02:10We can kind of stock it up with whatever we want.
02:12I had no idea.
02:13We got Hawaiian Rolls, so now I'm really excited right now.
02:17We got your Hot Pockets, leftover pizza.
02:19But this really helps us save money instead of eating out every night at like fast food, etc.
02:24Donuts.
02:26We also get to keep various other things.
02:30Bread, plates, creatine, spoons, you know, the necessities.
02:34Five pounds of protein.
02:36That's mine.
02:37But, of course, the pasta.
02:38You need the pasta.
02:40So, Drew brought this.
02:41What is the contraption?
02:43It's an air fryer.
02:45It's a...
02:45It's a ninja.
02:46It's a...
02:47Right.
02:47Ninja foodie.
02:48It's like a crock pot.
02:50It does your taxes.
02:51It's fantastic.
02:52So, our merch person has actually made us dinner multiple nights in a row now.
02:56And it's saved us a lot of money.
02:58I don't know what's in these drawers.
02:59We've got incense bags, band-aids.
03:02We've got wipes, soap, potatoes.
03:07You want some potatoes?
03:08Yes.
03:09And what is this?
03:11I don't even know what this is.
03:12What is...
03:12Cornstarch.
03:13Why did we get cornstarch?
03:15For the pot roast.
03:16For the pot roast.
03:17That's why we got cornstarch.
03:19Our merch person's making a frickin' pot roast.
03:22So, that's awesome.
03:23Gotta have hot sauce on tour.
03:25It makes everything better.
03:29There you go.
03:30The extra hot Cholula.
03:31Can't go wrong.
03:33So, this is Kellan, our guitar player.
03:35This is Patrick, our newest drummer.
03:37This is Drew, our guitar player.
03:39Skylar, our new bass player.
03:41This is our merch person, Amber.
03:42And this is Barrett, who will make sure we don't burn everything down, including ourselves.
03:47Yeah, this is kind of where everybody hangs out, whether we're on the move or stationary.
03:53I kind of spend most of my time in the bunk or sitting right there scrolling endlessly.
03:59Literally, from city to city.
04:01Everything's a blur now.
04:02I don't know where we are.
04:03I don't know where we're going.
04:04I'm just gonna go squirrel when we're done with this.
04:06So, that's great.
04:07Water down here.
04:09Don't go on that one.
04:10Don't go on that one.
04:11Water in grocery bags.
04:12Yeah, don't go on that one.
04:13What's wrong with the middle?
04:14Well, now I want to see what the middle line is.
04:16What's in the middle?
04:17What are you doing?
04:18Oh, it's laundry?
04:19Oh, he's jumping up.
04:20Oh, there's some stuff in the front.
04:22Wait.
04:22Hold on.
04:23Something I'm proud of.
04:24Picked up yesterday.
04:25There you go.
04:26There you go.
04:26There you go.
04:27We haven't played yet.
04:30I'm saving it.
04:31Saving it for possibly today.
04:34Cards Against Humanity, the hot box.
04:36That's gonna be a wild game right now.
04:39I feel like old Greg right now.
04:40These are my things.
04:41If you like this, you can have it.
04:44You can have it.
04:45Hey, it's yours now.
04:49This is my favorite bag to take everywhere.
04:51Whether it's on tour or just visiting places across the country.
04:56There we go.
04:58There we go.
05:01Rockin' Wrestling Rager bag.
05:03I've got my workout shirt for later.
05:05Scarface.
05:06I've got my hat, which you can't find right now in America.
05:11And hidden water bottles.
05:12I guess I've got a little stash going.
05:13That's about it, man.
05:14A pillow from home.
05:15That's like the biggest thing.
05:16I think that's one of the most important things to bring on tour.
05:18Is a pillow and blanket from home.
05:20I always try to go for the bottom bunk and to the right because of the direction I sleep.
05:25Generally, I'll sleep on this shoulder.
05:27And if I sleep towards the wall, I will feel like I'm suffocating at night.
05:32I don't know why.
05:33That's just how it feels.
05:34But I like sleeping closer to the wheel well as well because the hum of the bus and the way
05:39it moves,
05:39it just knocks me right out.
05:40So, this is kind of our junk bunk that has been nicely rearranged by Amber.
05:46Generally, it looks like it has its own life and is slowly growing by the day.
05:53But right now, it's friendly.
05:55So, you're in luck.
05:58There's only a small civilization growing right now.
06:00Yeah, yeah.
06:02But it probably generally would be the choice bunk because of how much room you have.
06:08But also, I feel like there's just not a lot of protection from the outside world.
06:13And you'll hear everything else all the time.
06:16Like if someone just decides to come out here and have a conversation on their phone or watch TV.
06:19You're going to be a part of that.
06:21You're not really going to be able to sleep.
06:22So, I don't know.
06:23It's just like the difference it makes just being a little bit back here.
06:27With like, I guess we turned the air conditioning off.
06:29But it's generally like a good white noise to drown everything out.
06:33Yeah, this is our bathroom.
06:34It's pretty simple.
06:38This is only for number one.
06:40Never number two.
06:41I don't care who tells you it's safe to do that on a tour bus.
06:45Don't ever do it.
06:46Like if you respect yourself and the people you're touring with.
06:49Do not go number two on a tour bus.
06:51So, our shower area, because we do not own this bus.
06:55We try not to use water from the tank.
06:57And this is nothing against bandwagon.
06:59I'm sure they keep it very clean.
07:00But because we don't know what they do to it before or after we have it.
07:04We just don't put water through the pipes in that manner.
07:06We don't wash our hands with this water.
07:08We have special hand sanitizer and various other ways of cleaning our hands properly.
07:11We don't use the shower at all.
07:14So, instead, it's used as storage for right now because we're on a bit of an acoustic radio tour.
07:19Acoustic guitars, towels, robes, various other clothes, shoes, etc.
07:24This is Brendan from The Nocturnal Affair.
07:26Thank you so much for coming and checking out our bandwagon.
07:29We are currently on tour supporting our latest single, Oxygen, which will be available everywhere, April 16th.
07:36And check us out on TheNocturnalAffair.com, The Nocturnal Affair on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
08:02We'll see you next time.
